Speaker A:Patrick, what's going on?
Speaker A:Bama's in the building.
Speaker A:Bama boobies.

Speaker A:Bama, I know Bama is.
Speaker A:He's debating on doing a podcast.
Speaker A:Bama, you.
Speaker A:I've seen what you've been doing.
Speaker A:Do the podcast.
Speaker A:Do the podcast, my guy.
Speaker A:So go ahead and do do the thing.
Speaker A:Do the thing without what I One of the things we do here on this platform is we encourage and I'm encouraging you to go ahead and make that joke.
Speaker A:If you don't do it, somebody else will.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And there's nothing worse than having that feeling of that should have, could have, would have situation.
Speaker A:Go ahead, start the show.
Speaker A:Do that thing.
Speaker A:Start that business.
Speaker A:Don't be afraid to take that leap.
Speaker A:That's one of those things where, especially now, where there's no certainty in anything.
Speaker A:So you might as well dive into the uncertainty of life.
Speaker A:It is what it is.
Speaker A:We'll be talking about a couple things tonight.
Speaker A:Waiting on the rest of the crew to come through, but we'll be talking about Peacemaker Season 2, episode 3.
Speaker A:There was no new episode last night.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:James Gunn has already stated that episodes 6, 7, and 8 will not be seen early by anyone due to a lot of spoilery stuff.
Speaker A:Ah, it's James Gunn.
Speaker A:You never know what this man is getting ready to to plan.
Speaker A:They're giving us a week break, it looks like.
Speaker A:Since nothing's been going on.
Speaker A:I know.
Speaker A:I've been watching Wednesday.
Speaker A:I have one more episode to watch from Wednesday and check that out.
Speaker A:People are saying they're not really liking the show.
Speaker A:Am I me?
Speaker A:I like it.
Speaker D:It's a nice vibe.
Speaker A:But see, here's the thing about people in the the fickleness that people have when it comes to a lot of shows that's on streaming services.
Speaker A:Shows or streaming services like Net with Netflix prime, even hbo, Max or Max or HBO or whatever they want to be called during the week.
Speaker A:They take extremely long hiatuses from a lot of shows.
Speaker A:They, they take a lot of hiatus, long hiatuses from a lot of shows.
Speaker A:And actually, no, wait, today's Thursday, right?
Speaker A:So, no, we should get a Peacemaker show tonight, I think.
Speaker A:Yeah, we should get a Peacemaker show tonight.
Speaker A:I'm thinking Yesterday was the, the new night show.
Speaker A:I was looking for it.
Speaker A:But yeah, they take these very long breaks and it's really hard for people to get back into them.
Speaker A:And that's part of the issue, I feel is part of the issue.
Speaker A:A lot of people, they get stuck and they don't know what to watch or they're moved on to something else.
Speaker A:And in case of some other shows, it's been so long that they've just lost interest.
Speaker A:Patrick says, yeah, the Utah thing, yeah, it was something.
Speaker A:It was trying to get some News on doomsday.
Speaker A:Like, look, Tafari TV says it best.
Speaker A:Leave us out of it.
Speaker A:We ain't celebrating no death or anything like that.
Speaker A:We're just saying if you put bad into the world, karma just has a way.
Speaker A:That's all I'm saying.
Speaker A:Karma.
Speaker A:Karma has a way.
Speaker A:So it could be, it could be a fickle thing.
Speaker A:It could be a fickle thing.
Speaker A:But yeah, the long breaks between streaming shows can be daunting, to the point.
Speaker A:Okay, perfect example.
Speaker A:Lost in Space, the, the newest version of Lost in Space that was on Netflix.
Speaker A:It, it had a pretty good run.
Speaker A:I think it went, I think it went three seasons.
Speaker A:But by the time that final season came about, almost five years had almost passed.
Speaker A:Between three to four.
Speaker A:Between three to four years had almost gone by.
Speaker A:You pretty much forgot what happened the previous season.
Speaker A:You have to re.
Speaker A:Watch it, at least re watch the last two or three episodes of the previous season to kind of get an understanding of what happened.
Speaker A:And then by the time the new season comes around and this is, and that's if you're invested, that's if you're still invested in the show, by the time the new season comes around, if you haven't watched the final two or three episodes to kind of get a refresher throws you off, you come in, you're lost, you don't know what's going on.
Speaker A:It's, it's, it's a daunting thing and it's, it's weird.
Speaker A:It's weird.
Speaker A:And you know, Stranger Things is a prime example that they have gone so long that, which, which was started off as a running joke of by the time they get to the new season, these kids will be an adult.
Speaker A:These kids will be adults and covet hit.
Speaker A:And sure enough, that whole thing got put on hiatus for the longest time.
Speaker A:And then when it came back by the time restrictions were lifted and everything else, you still had to re.
Speaker A:You had to coordinate everybody's schedules.
Speaker A:You had to get everything back together.
Speaker A:And here we are, final season coming in the fall and they're using there.
Speaker A:They, they're airing them as quote, unquote, movies.
Speaker A:The episodes are now like movies.
Speaker A:Think of it like Doctor who, even classic Doctor who.
Speaker A:They would air, they would have short seasons, but they're short seasons.
Speaker A:It would be like hour and a half the hour.
Speaker A:The episodes would be like an hour and a half.
Speaker A:Yeah, Umbrella Academy prime, another prime example.
Speaker A:That was a long one that by the time they came back, it was just like, what, what's going on?
Speaker A:Like You.
Speaker A:You.
Speaker A:You're completely lost.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And be honest with you, they screwed them on that last season.
Speaker A:That last season was not it.
Speaker A:It was not it.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Ua.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:That's.
Speaker A:That.
Speaker A:That it did.
Speaker A:It took way too long for Umbrella Academy.
Speaker A:And like I said by the unknown about what's going on, Tafari, he's in the building.
Speaker A:Like, I'm talking about, like, some of the shows that take breaks in between the seasons and how long it is that by the time the new season shows up, you're either completely confused, not invested, or you have to go back and watch like, the last.
Speaker A:The previous season's last two, maybe three episodes just to kind of get a refresher.
Speaker C:Hey, look, stranger things.
Speaker C:I'm gonna need y' all to come on down before the congregation because.
Speaker A:The.
Speaker C:Kids are all grown up, married or doing other projects now.
Speaker C:It might be hard to get them back.
Speaker A:Like, it's.
Speaker A:And it's.
Speaker A:That's the thing.
Speaker A:It's coming back this fall.
Speaker A:They got the lineup and everything.
Speaker A: is now: Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And she's.
Speaker D:I think she's the.
Speaker A:I think she's the only one in that crew is another.
Speaker A:See, here's the thing.
Speaker A:Now, Patrick mentions Reacher.
Speaker A:Reacher's a little different.
Speaker A:I don't think they take as long as a break with Reacher.
Speaker A:And not to mention, they're getting ready to do a spin off of that with his one partner, the female.
Speaker A:I can't remember her name right now, but they're doing a matter of fact.
Speaker A:I think they're done shooting that, shooting the spin off, and they're probably.
Speaker A:And I think they're on to the new season of Reacher.
Speaker A:But see, that's one of those things.
Speaker A:They don't space it out.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:It's House of Dragons.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:It's Game of Thrones.
Speaker A:It's Generation is Generation V. It's the Boys.
Speaker A:It's Stranger Things.
Speaker A:It Wednesday.
Speaker A:Like, even.
Speaker A:Even my little girl said it.
Speaker A:She was like, she's watching Wednesday.
Speaker A:She was like, wait, is that the same Pugsley?
Speaker A:Yeah, it is.
Speaker A:It's the same actor.
Speaker A:It's just.
Speaker A:He's.
Speaker A:He was a kid.
Speaker A:He hit a growth spurt.
Speaker C:That second TMNT movie, them kids are all gonna come back sounding like grown adults unless they get a whole new cast.
Speaker C:Their voices were already cracking, like, mid movie, so.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah, because they were actual preteen slash teenagers in the TMT TMNT movie, they Were.
Speaker A:So by the time they drop that, they're gonna.
Speaker A:They're gonna have several octaves dropped in their voice.
Speaker A:It's crazy.
Speaker A:It's crazy.
Speaker A:I.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And I'm sure you won't have that problem with Blurred Station.
Speaker A:I'm just saying we have a.
Speaker A:An extensive lineup that's continually growing.
Speaker A:The library is growing.
Speaker A:Speaking.
Speaker A:Which if you check out Hill spawn Legacy now Hill spawn Legacy on either Tick Tock or ig.
Speaker A:Either one or.
Speaker A:Or Facebook.
Speaker A:We are now getting voice actors.
Speaker A:We're.
Speaker A:We're talking to a lot of black voice actors.
Speaker A:So look out for that.
Speaker A:If you are a black voice actor with talent, not you've actually done some voice work not trying to get into the game, but because, you know, I know eventually we'll get to that point.
Speaker A:But yeah, it's.
Speaker A:It does that.
Speaker A:It does.
Speaker A:Bama says I need to get back into Reacher's good.
Speaker A:He said I need to get back into Reacher and I might stop Alex Cross.
Speaker A:Reacher's good.
Speaker C:Is that all in the same room?
Speaker C:Am I thinking of different shows that are connected?
Speaker A:That's a different show.
Speaker A:Cross.
Speaker A:Cross is a different show.
Speaker A:I mean, this is.
Speaker A:It's different universe.
Speaker A:Different universe.
Speaker A:Same network.
Speaker A:Different universe.
Speaker A:So, yeah, there was a series of.
Speaker C:Them based on, like, Tom Clancy books for a while, wasn't there?
Speaker A:Oh, that's not Reacher.
Speaker D:That's.
Speaker C:It.
Speaker C:Wasn't Jim from the Office like the star one?
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:Ah, what is the name of that?
Speaker A:Because Ben Affleck has played that character before.
Speaker A:I can't think of the name.
Speaker A:But yeah, I think they're done with their.
Speaker A:Their latest season.
Speaker A:They just.
Speaker A:They don't air these things like they used to.
Speaker A:And see, here's the thing.
Speaker A:People are wondering, like, about films and going straight to streaming when the short window and everything.
Speaker A:This is something that Hollywood was trying to do prior to Covid.
Speaker A:They were already kind of playing with the idea of films going to straight video on demand.
Speaker A:So, like, you could, like, even though it was released in the theaters this weekend, you.
Speaker A:You could still watch it on video on demand when that was still a thing.
Speaker A:And Jack Ryan.
Speaker A:That's what it was.
Speaker A:Thanks.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:Jack Ryan.
Speaker C:Okay.
Speaker A:That's what it was.
Speaker A:And so getting.
Speaker A:Getting those films going straight to the streaming networks, that was something that was going.
Speaker A:That was going to happen eventually.
Speaker A:They.
Speaker A:They all these major networks or major production companies.
Speaker A:This.
Speaker A:This was always going to happen.
Speaker A:It just coveted.
Speaker A:Gave it a kickstart.
Speaker D:What's going on, Christy?
Speaker A:Yeah, that covert just gave it a kickstart that's all.
Speaker A:And it gave it like a covet.
Speaker A:Gave it like a 5 to 10 year kickstart.
Speaker A:What we got now, we wouldn't.
Speaker A:We wouldn't.
Speaker A:If covet hadn't happened, what we're dealing with now would have come maybe five, 10 years down the line, maybe five to seven.
Speaker A:So we were always gonna have short movie runs.
Speaker A:It's like they're trying to cut out a middleman.
Speaker A:That's what.
Speaker C:As long as we're not doing that 30 Disney+ pay for it directly thing anymore because.
Speaker C:Well, no, y' all lost Scarlett Johansson over that one.
Speaker A:Yeah, that was.
Speaker D:I'm like, what is this?
Speaker A:I'm like, no, I'll just buy the Blu Ray.
Speaker A:Screw it, by the way, still.
Speaker A:But they.
Speaker A:They're trying to phase out Blu Rays.
Speaker A:It's damn near impossible.
Speaker A:They're not.
Speaker A:They, they're still selling Blu Rays.
Speaker A:They're just trying to cut back.
Speaker A:Who's selling Blu Rays right now?
Speaker A:Best Buy no longer selling Blu Rays.
Speaker C:And Best Buy hasn't seen me since.
Speaker A:Yeah, there's like, there's nothing.
Speaker A:Matter of fact, that was the last thing left, really.
Speaker A:Best Buy was Blu Rays because it's like, you don't want to go there to grab any games, you know, so.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And everything else is priced way too high.
Speaker A:So, like.
Speaker A:Yeah, Blu Rays was.
Speaker A:There was their last bread and butter.
Speaker A:And all of that's now at.
Speaker A:At Walmart.
Speaker A:All that stuff is at Walmart now.
Speaker A:Yep.
Speaker A:Streaming is killing the 26 episode season.
Speaker A:It is it, it's, it's, it's.
Speaker A:It.
Speaker A:Decapped, kneecapped it.
Speaker C:Now you get like 6 to 12 or you get 12 in two seasons, but it's the first season chopped into 6 or it's 26, but the two seasons are chopped into 13.
Speaker C:Like I'm pretty sure the season of King of The Hill was 20 episodes.
Speaker C:They only took the first 10, though.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:And still.
Speaker A:And still fiddling and fiddling with it.
Speaker A:In, in, in.
Speaker A:I hate it.
Speaker A:I hate it because when.
Speaker A:When you have a really good show and you get eight, 10 episodes.
Speaker A:Eight to 10 episodes if you're lucky.
Speaker A:And then they.
Speaker A:And they're still taking a damn near a year and some change after the season finale of whatever that is.
Speaker A:Nightmare fuel.
Speaker C:Hey, I might want to buy whatever DVD comes out for the season of South Park.
Speaker C:They already pulling episodes and we're only four in, so.
Speaker D:Wasn'T that supposed to be.
Speaker D:It was supposed to be a repeat, though.
Speaker C:I think it was supposed to be a Repeat.
Speaker C:Comedy Central said, we're not doing that.
Speaker C:Paramount plus said, you owe us seven bucks if you wanted it.
Speaker A:I think, I think what it was is like they were just like, yeah, we might cross a line.
Speaker A:That's what it was.
Speaker A:It was like, oh, now you found your line.
Speaker C:I need to cross the line.
Speaker C:Nobody even comes to you all for specials anymore.
Speaker C:Netflix took all the comedians and your money.
Speaker A:That's it.
Speaker A:That's it.
Speaker A:Bama said like British television, American TV is copying that model.
Speaker A:Yes, they are.
Speaker A:How they.
Speaker A:That's how they.
Speaker A:Doctor who is going on what, 60 year run?
Speaker A:Yeah, close to 60 years.
Speaker C:I'll see.
Speaker C:Because I had a roommate who got me into bridge tv.
Speaker C:He had me watching.
Speaker C:I don't think it was called Sherlock.
Speaker C:I think it was called Moriarty with Benedict Cumberbatch playing it.
Speaker C:And he's like, yeah, every episode is like two hours long.
Speaker C:But they only.
Speaker A:Oh no, that was Sherlock.
Speaker A:Yeah, that's Sherlock.
Speaker C:What's it called?
Speaker C:Sure.
Speaker C:Okay.
Speaker C:Yeah, yeah, he has like.
Speaker C:Every episode is like super long.
Speaker C:But they like, they, they drop it in like batches so you can like ingest it.
Speaker C:But they at least had like a better release window.
Speaker A:I think they did.
Speaker A:They had a much better, like they had a.
Speaker A:They had a much better release window and they had a wider base like you had.
Speaker A:It would be on BBC America.
Speaker A:Then it will be on pbs.
Speaker A:They will show like.
Speaker A:So they had a.
Speaker A:They had a wider base and it was showing somewhere else too, but they had a wider base.
Speaker A:They had about a better release like you said.
Speaker A:They had better batches, better batch release.
Speaker A:And they.
Speaker A:And like I said, they were giving you movies.
Speaker A:They weren't giving you, oh, here's a 45 minute special or here's an hour special.
Speaker A:Like, no, they're giving you a good hour and a half, two hour show or movie for that matter.
Speaker A:They're.
Speaker A:They're going to give.
Speaker A:It was better condensed, I guess.
Speaker C:I'm gonna need a recap of Stranger Things.
Speaker C:I'm not re watching.
Speaker C:What was it, like 6:2?
Speaker C:That last episode was so long.
Speaker C:I lost like a good chunk of my work day watching in the background.
Speaker C:Like I thought.
Speaker C:I thought maybe I missed something.
Speaker C:I'm like, we went from the desert to like military people to back to these kids, to the Demogorgon.
Speaker A:I, I watched, I watched still on the same episode.
Speaker A:Like, yeah, I went to the.
Speaker A:Yeah, that was the last episode I actually re watched where Hopper was in the prison with, with Winona Ryder.
Speaker A:Eleven was in a, in a, a made up deprivation tank to help.
Speaker A:I can't.
Speaker A:The redhead because that was like a mindscape.
Speaker A:Eddie and Eddie and.
Speaker A:Oh, I can't remember the kid's name, but they were actually.
Speaker A:They were in one part of the Upside down fighting a little bats, playing the rock music.
Speaker C:I'm like, this is all in one episode.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:Every time I blink, I'm missing something.
Speaker A:Steve and, and Nancy and the other girl, they were still.
Speaker A:They were in the Upside down, but they were in a totally different part of the Upside Down.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:Yeah, it was.
Speaker A:Yeah, it was a lot going on in that episode.
Speaker A:Dustin.
Speaker C:Dustin.
Speaker C:That's his name.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:I feel like they always.
Speaker C:I don't.
Speaker C:I haven't watched Wednesday, but I feel like when it comes to like these shows wrapping up.
Speaker C:They dropped that last season too late.
Speaker C:Stranger things.
Speaker C:Some kids ain't even kids anymore.
Speaker C:Umbrella Academy was just like, all right.
Speaker C:That.
Speaker C:That took long for no reason whatsoever.
Speaker C:I've heard I shouldn't even bother with the last season of Seven Deadly Sins.
Speaker C:And then somebody just threw dear white people off a cliff.
Speaker A:Like, it's like, yeah, because you, you have.
Speaker A:There was a time where especially Netflix, there was a time where they showed a good show and people clamored for I need to know more.
Speaker A:I need more.
Speaker A:Like, the Santa Clarita Diet is a good horror comedy with Drew Barrymore and Nathan Fillion hasn't has an appearance in it.
Speaker A:I, I think Alan Tudor Cat shows up at one point, but it's a good.
Speaker A:Timothy Oliphant is playing the husband.
Speaker A:There was a lot going on in that show because I don't want to spoil it, even though it's been a couple years, but there was a lot going on in the show.
Speaker A:And I think it went five seasons.
Speaker A:And that fifth season, their season finale ended up being their series finale.
Speaker A:And it was such a cliffhanger that it was just like, well, what the heck happened?
Speaker A:You could have gave us a.
Speaker A:You could have gave us one wrap up for a movie if you weren't going to give them a whole season.
Speaker A:But that's when we were finding out, hey, they start these, these stars out at a certain cap.
Speaker A:And then as if they progress, if another season's added, another season's at it, they got paying more money.
Speaker A:Where's the money coming from?
Speaker A:Netflix.
Speaker A:How we getting all this money?
Speaker A:It ain't.
Speaker A:It ain't all through subscription.
Speaker A:They got to pull this money somewhere.
Speaker A:It's just like.
Speaker A:It's like your local television stations.
Speaker A:Those, those like cw.
Speaker A:The cw.
Speaker A:CW wasn't making any money.
Speaker A:It wasn't making any money.
Speaker A:It was getting a lot of viewership, especially during the.
Speaker A:The Arrowverse era.
Speaker C:I was gonna say, what was cw?
Speaker C:Once UBN flipped into it, like, before the Arrowverse, I really was like, y.
Speaker C:This guy, like Smallville reruns.
Speaker C:And I think Friends, like, what else is over there?
Speaker A:Yeah, they went from.
Speaker A:They went from.
Speaker A:At least here in Cleveland, it went from channel 43 to channel 55 to UPN, then to UPN to CW.
Speaker A:And then like in the last legs of it, it changed to.
Speaker A:See, I think they changed the CW55 or something, but it changed over to CW and then it became all teen drama stuff.
Speaker A:Vampire Diaries, the Supernatural and everything else.
Speaker A:And then they kind of struck Smallville.
Speaker A:Then they struck gold.
Speaker A:You know, after those two shows, after Smallville ended, they started hitting gold with Supernatural, and then they started bringing on vampire shows, and then they started bringing in Vampire Diaries.
Speaker A:And it was.
Speaker A:Let me see, was it Archie?
Speaker C:Was that one of those networks that was forcing seventh Heaven on all of us?
Speaker A:Yeah, it was like, in the.
Speaker A:In between there.
Speaker A:Like, in between there.
Speaker A:7.
Speaker A:7 Heaven was thrown in there.
Speaker A:And then like, late night was like.
Speaker A:Like you said, friends repeats and Whose Line Is It Anyway?
Speaker A:Stuff like that.
Speaker A:Drew.
Speaker A:Drew Carey reruns.
Speaker A:Which, by the way, the Drew Carey show was hilarious.
Speaker A:It was.
Speaker A:It wasn't just that it took place in Cleveland.
Speaker A:That show was actually pretty damn funny.
Speaker C:I feel like I remember it.
Speaker A:I don't remember.
Speaker C:See, I was like, too young for.
Speaker C:A lot of them.
Speaker C:Say Carlos.
Speaker C:Like, I remember they would have random.
Speaker C:There was some show.
Speaker C:I don't know who.
Speaker C:The white woman that was starring in it.
Speaker C:She was the Melissa McCarthy of her time.
Speaker C:But I remember they had like an episode with actual Daffy Duck was in it, just ruining her off.
Speaker C:It's like.
Speaker C:And I cannot for the life of me remember what show it was.
Speaker A:Oh, my God.
Speaker A:Now I gotta.
Speaker A:I gotta go back in my memory banking track that one.
Speaker A:But yeah, it's.
Speaker A:They.
Speaker A:They did that.
Speaker A:Those.
Speaker A:Those type of networks, they don't make any money because you don't really think about that.
Speaker D:It was.
Speaker A:It's like afterthoughts.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah, Mal.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah, it was.
Speaker A:Drew Carey was hilarious.
Speaker A:Like, that was where I got first when he.
Speaker A:He actually does Batman's voice in.
Speaker A:In the Brave and the Bold, that's when I got introduced to him.
Speaker A:So when they did Batman, Brave and the Bold, and I'm like, the guy from Drew Carey is doing that now.
Speaker C:That you made that connection I think I do remember a few episodes of it, but like that show King of Queens, like, King of Queens is hilarious.
Speaker C:A little bit of My Name is Earl, that type of stuff.
Speaker A:Yeah, those were.
Speaker A:Those are funny.
Speaker A:So King of Queens is hilarious.
Speaker A:Drew Carey is funny as hell.
Speaker A:I never got into the Office, although, like, clips that they show were actually funny clips.
Speaker A:I tried and I was just like, oh, this ain't for me.
Speaker C:I like it.
Speaker C:It was very much the.
Speaker C:The college Netflix binge of the time, because I know they got.
Speaker C:I know they got the paper now, which I'm hearing is really good.
Speaker C:The Office, I think is worth a good watch.
Speaker C:At least one time through Daffy was.
Speaker C:Oh, that was the Drew Carey Show.
Speaker A:B. Yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:That means.
Speaker A:That means the girl.
Speaker A:That means it was Drew Carey's nemesis who ends up later becoming his sister in law because she marries his brother.
Speaker A:He was like.
Speaker A:It was like her.
Speaker A:His office enemy.
Speaker A:That's what she was.
Speaker A:It was off his enemy.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And he used to always tease her about all the makeup she wore because he didn't look right.
Speaker A:Like, they even made a joke, like if you put makeup on a pig and he looked at her and she was like, I dare you to say Mimi.
Speaker A:That was her name, Mimi.
Speaker A:When I actually seen her without makeup, like the actual actress without makeup, I'm like, she looked totally different.
Speaker A:They just like caked on eyeshadow and makeup and rouge and blush.
Speaker A:But no, no, a lot of they had.
Speaker A:They had a good.
Speaker A:A lot of those shows had a good run.
Speaker A:And actually Drew Carey had one of the better intros to a show, to us, to a sitcom, highlighted a lot of spots in Cleveland and big dance numbers and everything.
Speaker A:It was.
Speaker A:It was a.
Speaker A:It was an event.
Speaker A:So Dietrich Bader is the voice of Batman.
Speaker A:That's what I was first.
Speaker A:I was first introduced to Dietrich Bader on Drew Carey and when they announced him for Batman, Brave and Abold, which, by the way, not a bad cartoon, it's actually good, is.
Speaker A:I'm surprised it's not mentioned enough when it comes to talking about Batman cartoons.
Speaker A:So, yeah, a lot of that was right on point.
Speaker A:Kings of King of Queens is absolutely downright ridiculous.
Speaker C:That was Brave in the bowl was a good one.
Speaker C:That was one of the few, like I watched start to finish.
Speaker C:And then when they did, just the most ridiculous way of canceling it with Bad Mike just putting all his fan fictions in and be like, all right.
Speaker C:And then the whole cast comes on to say goodbye.
Speaker C:Yeah, I'm just like, oh, I Guess this is like the last.
Speaker C:Last episode.
Speaker C:I thought y' all were joking.
Speaker C:And then it just didn't come on anymore.
Speaker A:Yep.
Speaker C:And Young justice, if anybody still remembers the show, if they ever get a Fitz season, because they did.
Speaker C:Y' all gonna do another time skip or what's gonna happen?
Speaker C:Because y' all have, like, Damian Wayne is a baby.
Speaker C:Red Hood's still hostage and just never gonna get rescued.
Speaker C:Mara has been in the Phantom Zone, and somehow none of the Black Tony has bothered to help her.
Speaker A:It.
Speaker A:It good, man.
Speaker A:For as good as Young justice is, they did that show dirty.
Speaker C:Well, seeing how we.
Speaker C:We just got a Red Hood comic cancel today, I can see which direction WB is trying to go in.
Speaker A:Good Lord.
Speaker A:Yeah, they're getting bought by Paramount.
Speaker A:Skydance now, so.
Speaker A:Or at least that's the deal.
Speaker C:Where's my straw hats?
Speaker A:Whoopty.
Speaker A:What's going on?
Speaker E:Nothing.
Speaker E:Nothing.
Speaker E:My computer hates me.
Speaker E:Every four days, it decides, you know, you need to do two reboots in order to get me working.
Speaker A:What your computer say?
Speaker A:N. Boo.
Speaker D:Do it again.
Speaker A:Just.
Speaker C:Just a little double jump start.
Speaker E:You know, it lures you into a false sense of, you know, this is gonna work, and you get excited, and then it goes, nah.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:So we.
Speaker A:Again, we're gonna jump right Into Peacemaker Season 2, episode 3.
Speaker A:I have some theories about this alternate universe that Chris has gone in, but I. I'm not ready to say it yet.
Speaker A:I'm waiting to see how it unfolds.
Speaker D:I'm waiting.
Speaker C:Okay, so it's about everybody talking about the background.
Speaker C:Because I didn't peep.
Speaker A:Yeah, it is.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:I didn't.
Speaker C:I didn't notice until somebody pointed it out this episode.
Speaker A:It's because.
Speaker A:And then when.
Speaker A:When they mentioned when it.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:So this is.
Speaker A:This is the theory that that's running around in my head, and it's starting to add up.
Speaker A:So when we.
Speaker A:Obviously, when we see Peacemaker Season 2 open up and he sees his father, which is called the Blue Dragon, over in the other.
Speaker A:In the other world.
Speaker A:And I thought that was an odd choice.
Speaker A:And I said, oh, he still has the same costume.
Speaker A:It's just the color scheme is different.
Speaker A:And what the theory is that some people are already saying is there's nobody that look like us in the backgrounds at all.
Speaker A:At all.
Speaker A:And that is very telling.
Speaker A:And at first, you know, you don't see a lot of background people.
Speaker A:You just see it, like when Chris is on his motorcycle and everybody's yelling his name and he's being adored by fans.
Speaker A:And everything else, everything so far looks peaceful.
Speaker A:You don't even pick that up.
Speaker A:You just know people are screaming his name.
Speaker A:They're happy his brother's alive.
Speaker A:His dad is saying he loves them.
Speaker A:And they're.
Speaker A:Apparently, they stay in a nice house.
Speaker A:They're considered their top three heroes in.
Speaker A:In that world.
Speaker A:He dated Hardcourt, used to date her in that world.
Speaker A:Still has ties to her, goes over there.
Speaker A:So the theory is that not only do they not see people of color, but they're trying to say that this might be Earth X.
Speaker A:And if you remember Earth X from one of the many crossovers from the Arrowverse, Earth X is where the Nazis won.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:And I said, oh, this might be why the son's liberty are there.
Speaker A:And if there's no background actors that look like us or Asian or Latino or anything like that.
Speaker A:And why his father is so considered one of the top heroes.
Speaker A:And it was like, he still has that same.
Speaker A:The Blue Dragon look.
Speaker A:And it was like, oh, that would make a little sense when they put it.
Speaker C:Somebody pointed out that's also why they're saying bloodhaven like that, because they would have adopted the dialect and the way that they say, like, certain vowels.
Speaker C:So it's instead of blood, it's blued.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah, that part.
Speaker A:So now I'm like, oh, damn.
Speaker A:Because we've been trying to figure out what is wrong with if.
Speaker A:If everything looks so right, what is wrong in this world that makes you wonder now?
Speaker A:Because I'm trying to think.
Speaker A:Did they mention Waller at all?
Speaker A:They just mentioned ARGUS they don't mention Waller.
Speaker A:I don't believe we haven't seen any of his.
Speaker A:Of his other friends over there.
Speaker A:We haven't seen their counterparts at all.
Speaker A:Or he heard them being mentioned.
Speaker A:I don't know if we will.
Speaker A:I would think I would.
Speaker A:I would care to think they.
Speaker A:They could show up.
Speaker A:But I think that's when Chris is going to realize, like, oh, it's not the word you think it is.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:It's everything you want as far as your personals, you know, hardcore.
Speaker A:You used to date hardcore.
Speaker A:Y' all looked happy.
Speaker A:You know, your father is alive, and he's a loving father.
Speaker A:Your brother is alive.
Speaker A:You know, you're considered one of the great heroes.
Speaker A:You're respected, you're adored.
Speaker A:Downside.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker C:Okay.
Speaker C:At the beginning was hardcore and.
Speaker C:And flag a thing before all of this happened.
Speaker A:They allude to that one in this reality.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:But they don't mention it nowhere else.
Speaker C:Like, I couldn't tell.
Speaker C:We were talking about our home, D.C. or the.
Speaker C:The other one that.
Speaker A:The other.
Speaker A:The other one.
Speaker A:The other one.
Speaker A:Both, actually.
Speaker C:Because I know she's dating.
Speaker C:She's dating like the dork version of Rick Flag.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:But then when they're like, oh, yeah, by the way, like, I feel like this opens a whole new can of worms to y'.
Speaker A:All.
Speaker C:Like, relation, friendship.
Speaker C:Because, like, he also killed your friend and someone you cared about.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:I'm not sure if, like, you know that, but his dad knows.
Speaker A:So in.
Speaker A:In our DC world, Hardcore and Flag were.
Speaker A:We're getting it in.
Speaker A:They were getting it in.
Speaker A:But, you know, Hardcore isn't like a relationship.
Speaker A:At least this is our version of Hardcore isn't a relationship type person.
Speaker A:So she's probably just happy with just getting it in.
Speaker A:Flag, on the other hand, he's.
Speaker A:He's stuck dealing with June, who's a witch, and so didn't she die or.
Speaker C:Like in the first Suicide Squad or what.
Speaker C:What happened with Enchantress again?
Speaker C:I forgot.
Speaker A:Enchantress.
Speaker A:I know.
Speaker A:The demon took her out or tried to.
Speaker A:Yes, they took her out.
Speaker A:They took her out.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:Because that was afterwards.
Speaker A:Because that scene where they show Flag and Hardcore in bed together.
Speaker A:June is still alive.
Speaker A:The whole events hadn't opened up yet.
Speaker A:Those events hadn't opened up yet.
Speaker A:So it wasn't until he made fun of.
Speaker A:Of Waller's shirt, he gets stuck on the mission.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker C:So, yeah, see, I'm like, does she know that?
Speaker C:Does nobody know that he killed Rick Flag Jr. Because I'm like, that feels weird that she's been assigned him this whole time.
Speaker C:And I think that's just an argument waiting to happen that should have happened, like, way sooner.
Speaker A:I think.
Speaker A:The events of Peacemaker taking out Flag, who knows John Economies, if John economist knows it, the rest of the team knows it.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:Because even.
Speaker A:Even at a bio knows.
Speaker A:So, yeah, the team knows.
Speaker A:They just haven't said anything.
Speaker A:And it wasn't until Rick Flag senior asked.
Speaker A:He.
Speaker A:Like, I think he had.
Speaker A:Rick Flag senior had precautions of knowing, you know, he had.
Speaker A:He was like, I. I think something's up.
Speaker A:And I.
Speaker A:Nobody's really telling me what happened to my kid.
Speaker A:And he.
Speaker A:And he knows Waller, obviously.
Speaker C:Right.
Speaker C:I feel like now that you have authority, that's who you need to be cussing out instead of trying to just take waste resources chasing this man down.
Speaker A:So, yeah, he.
Speaker A:He.
Speaker A:He's.
Speaker A:Yeah, is.
Speaker A:I just seen lady over in the chat.
Speaker A:Yeah, Mal.
Speaker A:It's Earth part, you're right.
Speaker A:Ours is Earth Prime.
Speaker A:Which will be discussed.
Speaker C:How do you legalize killing an eagle for what, like, 12 hours or whatever myriad mysterious time window they got?
Speaker D:Well, he hasn't done it yet.
Speaker A:The eagle hunter.
Speaker A:He hasn't done it yet.
Speaker A:He's just been tasked with hunting him down.
Speaker A:He's gonna fail.
Speaker A:We know that he's gonna fail.
Speaker A:If anything, Eagly might get slightly injured, but, yeah, I. I don't.
Speaker C:And then judo master, like, y' all don't have this, like, little man locked up on war crimes at this point.
Speaker C:Like, he still tried to sell y' all out for reasons we don't fully understand.
Speaker C:Last.
Speaker A:What was his code name?
Speaker D:What did they call him?
Speaker A:That's what they opened up the back of the truck and condomals was like, oh.
Speaker D:He can't win.
Speaker A:He's just like, I.
Speaker C:Did you have any takeaways from this episode?
Speaker E:I haven't finished watching it, so I'm just soaking it.
Speaker A:Are you.
Speaker C:Are you looking at it right now?
Speaker E:Maybe.
Speaker A:Maybe.
Speaker C:Okay.
Speaker C:I feel like I was talking too much, but go ahead.
Speaker A:No, I.
Speaker A:It's just.
Speaker C:My running theory is that the dude we met in the first episode was a complete fake too.
Speaker C:I feel like he already pulled what our John is pulling or what our Chris is pulling, and he thought he was about to give this.
Speaker C:He thought somebody else was about to come and basically steal his thunder and then ended up doing himself in.
Speaker A:Somebody else hadn't said something to the effect that, you know, obviously, as he said, it's like 99 universes, he said, and he's probably a Dick in all 99 universes.
Speaker A:And he probably assumed in that one he wasn't.
Speaker C:So fun for that.
Speaker C:Like, we've had.
Speaker C:I feel like it's.
Speaker C:Yes, he's a douche, but it's like, it's.
Speaker C:It's.
Speaker C:Even his whole family seems nice, but it's like, oh, you were, like, exactly the same here, but potentially worse.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:And we.
Speaker A:And as far as his brother Keith, we wouldn't.
Speaker A:We don't know how his brother.
Speaker A:I mean, he seems like the loving brother right now.
Speaker A:We don't know what he was like in there because Chris killed him at a young age, you know, on accident, you know, So, I mean, he's.
Speaker C:He's better here than he was in the office.
Speaker C:So.
Speaker A:So it's.
Speaker A:It still stands.
Speaker A:A question.
Speaker A:I need to know.
Speaker A:I think that's the.
Speaker A:I think Spartan has some words.
Speaker A:I. I think that this universe might be what we.
Speaker A:It might be what I'm theorizing.
Speaker A:Spartan.
Speaker A:I need to Ask you, oh, everything looks so right with this other Earth.
Speaker A:What do you think is wrong?
Speaker D:Oh, you must be on Peacemaker.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker D:Oh, more than likely, the brother's got dark secret.
Speaker D:The brother's got a dark secret.
Speaker A:You think it's just a brother that has a dark secret?
Speaker D:I think it's gonna be the brother.
Speaker A:And I think that.
Speaker D:I think it's the.
Speaker D:Think about this.
Speaker D:I think the brother is going to be slightly corrupted.
Speaker D:That's my guess.
Speaker D:Because it's all too.
Speaker D:You know, they.
Speaker D:Because if you really think about it, in Peacemaker, that alternate.
Speaker D:At alternate Earth was everything that Chris wanted.
Speaker D:He wanted to be seen as a hero.
Speaker D:He wanted hardcore.
Speaker D:He, you know, had hardcore relationship.
Speaker D:He, you know, had everything.
Speaker D:Had his father, had his brother.
Speaker D:If you really think about it, it's almost as if someone just sat there and said, here, it's like the maker just gave you the entire universe that you wanted just to keep you domiciled.
Speaker D:Which makes you think the other shoe.
Speaker D:The other shoe that has a drop out of this is that either a something's up with a brother or we're about to get introduced to somebody that's basically pulling the strings one to two.
Speaker A:So I. I told him.
Speaker A:I told the team.
Speaker A:I said.
Speaker A:And it was.
Speaker A:It was something that somebody said about the background actors.
Speaker A:You don't see none of this.
Speaker D:Oh, yeah, I went back and watched.
Speaker D:I went back and watched it during work.
Speaker D:I was like, oh, wow, we have landed in Whiteyville.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:I. I think that's the.
Speaker A:I think for me, I think that's the shoe that drops.
Speaker A:Hence the Sons of Liberty.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Because I'm like, I know the Sons of Liberty are a little different in comics, but of course, it's James Gunn world, so of course he could.
Speaker D:But at the same time, it does kind of make sense.
Speaker D:It's like, where's Negro town?
Speaker A:No Latinos, no Asians.
Speaker C:I mean, they said that.
Speaker C:They said there's a lot of stuff they couldn't show.
Speaker C:They didn't even give the press, like, the last, what, three episodes?
Speaker C:So I wouldn't be surprised if, like, we get it just slapped with a whole bunch of revelations and, like, Superman, red sun pulls up.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker D:But that same time.
Speaker A:If they do that.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker D:It's like Bama pointed out the other Chris had a little bit of a pill problem.
Speaker D:And his brother.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker D:And his brother even sat there and said, are you using again?
Speaker D:So they're.
Speaker D:So there's a story there, too.
Speaker D:So there's a.
Speaker D:There's a Six different ways from Sunday.
Speaker D:They can really go about this.
Speaker D:Honestly.
Speaker A:Yeah, I think he's gotta.
Speaker A:I think that world he's in.
Speaker A:And mind you, like, one of the questions I had already had is, where's the rest of the crew?
Speaker D:Because I'd have to think, because if this is an all white party, no pun intended.
Speaker A:Like, I. I gotta go back and look to see who's working at ARGUS Because I didn't.
Speaker A:They don't mention Waller in ARGUS so who else was there?
Speaker D:I mean, the only person I can.
Speaker D:Well, no, I doubt.
Speaker D:I doubt they're bold enough to bring a Luthor esque villain running ARGUS But I could be wrong.
Speaker A:I mean, that's what.
Speaker A:That's what Rick Flag is there for.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Well, no, well, yeah, Flag is at prime.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker A:But in.
Speaker A:In this earth.
Speaker A:Yeah, you're right.
Speaker A:We don't know.
Speaker A:There.
Speaker A:There was.
Speaker A:He just says Argus.
Speaker A:It's just.
Speaker A:Argus is just me.
Speaker A:It's not mentioned who's running ARGUS it's not talk about.
Speaker A:It's not mentioning anybody at the top, pretty much.
Speaker A:It's just all about, I need to go talk to Hardcourt.
Speaker A:And then you see that version of Rick Flag, who a klutz.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker D:So weird.
Speaker A:So weird seeing him like that.
Speaker D:How you gonna do my boy like that?
Speaker D:This.
Speaker D:This man.
Speaker D:I said.
Speaker D:Really?
Speaker D:Of all the ways you can make him in this universe, he has to be the.
Speaker D:The clutch slash stalker.
Speaker A:Yeah, like, that's the jarhead you left him.
Speaker A:Like.
Speaker A:But then you find out that the relationship that.
Speaker A:That version of Chris and hardcore Hat wasn't exactly all peaches and cream neither.
Speaker A:Like, yeah, he was.
Speaker A:He was skating around on her and everything.
Speaker A:He was.
Speaker D:But that's it.
Speaker D:But that.
Speaker D:But that's what I said.
Speaker D:It just.
Speaker D:It just.
Speaker D:You keep on waiting like it's oblivious to Chris because he's like, I. I have everything.
Speaker D:All I'm missing is Eagly.
Speaker D:And the thing about it is, you ever noticed there's not an Eagly in this universe?
Speaker C:What if Eagle is like, what is that girl's name?
Speaker C:Because we haven't seen her like eight movies.
Speaker C:Whatever.
Speaker C:Eagle is like America Chavez.
Speaker C:There's only one.
Speaker C:And he's just been a pet in like multiple ones.
Speaker C:You see, Eagly almost like knew which door to go through or unless you like can smell the scent or what.
Speaker C:Eagly, I feel like, knows a lot more than.
Speaker C:He's like, Eagly is the eyeball from Alien.
Speaker C:He knows.
Speaker C:He knows more than he's letting on.
Speaker D:Eagly is like, I have Seen things I have seen.
Speaker A:I would rather stay over here, but I need to get.
Speaker A:I need to get something back over there real quick.
Speaker D:You know what?
Speaker D:Safari.
Speaker D:That would explain something, because when Eagly was flying in the pocket.
Speaker D:Was in the pocket universe with all the doors, he wouldn't go into any of them.
Speaker D:Even when he called him back, Ely was like, nope.
Speaker D:So that kind of does say something.
Speaker C:But it's also.
Speaker C:It's also like if y' all are sharing it, y' all have never crossed paths with each other up until this point.
Speaker C:Like the fact that there's another one person storing helmets in there.
Speaker D:Right.
Speaker A:I think.
Speaker A:I think part of it.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And this is something I thought about that.
Speaker A:I think part of it is when it was his.
Speaker A:It was his father's interdimensional doorway.
Speaker A:So it was just like, yeah, I made you this helmet.
Speaker A:And, you know, as much as he was always trying to gain Garner.
Speaker A:His father's favorite.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:He also didn't like being around his father.
Speaker A:Rightfully so.
Speaker D:But he uses inventions.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So he was just like, fine, at least you're making me cool helmets or whatever.
Speaker A:I'll use it.
Speaker A:And he probably just.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And knowing how his father is, his father was just like, yeah, don't.
Speaker A:Don't go over there.
Speaker A:Don't do this.
Speaker A:And he's just like, whatever.
Speaker A:I won't.
Speaker D:It's almost like there's a red button somewhere.
Speaker D:He told him, just, whatever you do, don't push the red button.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:So him just going in there, you know, he is probably like, like, burned in his brain, like, I'm just gonna go get my stuff and walk on out, and that's it.
Speaker A:You know?
Speaker D:But then, you know, you got that one guy.
Speaker D:I'm just gonna call him Bob because he never does give him a name, but Bob always shows up.
Speaker D:He says hi to Bob.
Speaker A:It was rude.
Speaker A:It was very rude.
Speaker A:He's like.
Speaker A:He's.
Speaker A:He says he speaks to you every.
Speaker D:Time he sees you.
Speaker C:Is Bob a Parademon or.
Speaker A:No, Gun gave it a name, but it's not a Parademon.
Speaker D:I just thought that was crazy.
Speaker D:It's like I have.
Speaker D:I say hi to this guy all the freaking time, and he can't even say hi once.
Speaker D:But he understood when he's like, man, get the back.
Speaker C:I feel like I don't.
Speaker C:I feel like we'll get more from him, too, in either his home dimension or why he's always just using it as a glorified trash can.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker D:And he did have an incinerator Though I did see that.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:Which completely got rid of my idea of like, oh, they'll just hide the other Chris's body and maybe discover Lazarus bit.
Speaker C:Nope.
Speaker C:Bone saw.
Speaker C:And just instant flames, right?
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:When they.
Speaker A:When.
Speaker A:When they lit that other body on fire, I'm like, oh, that's the good stuff.
Speaker A:That's like thermite.
Speaker D:They didn't miss once.
Speaker A:I was like, just dang.
Speaker D:As vigilante.
Speaker D:He's just like, well, you know, that's not gonna really do it.
Speaker D:I was like, this man needs a hobby.
Speaker D:He needs a hobby.
Speaker D:He does.
Speaker A:He's learned.
Speaker A:He knows all about owls and spiders.
Speaker A:He really does it.
Speaker D:I'm like, sir, you need a friend.
Speaker A:You need a.
Speaker D:You need a friend and.
Speaker D:And therapy.
Speaker A:He's like.
Speaker A:He's like Yelena is to.
Speaker A:To Bob.
Speaker A:Like, you just need to keep him close because if you don't.
Speaker D:That part.
Speaker A:It was like, he's good in the fight.
Speaker A:He might be annoying.
Speaker A:He.
Speaker A:But he's good in the fight.
Speaker A:But if you let him go off to his own devices, it's a problem.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker D:He was like, that's.
Speaker A:That could go left really bad really quick, you know, I mean, it's granted even the first season when he's like, he gets himself put in.
Speaker A:In jail with Peacemakers.
Speaker A:I'm like, not exactly the most sound planned, but it worked.
Speaker D:It was effective.
Speaker D:Man, that was efficient.
Speaker D:Let me.
Speaker D:Let me just knock out the guy to get in the prison to get the person I want to get, and then just leave just as easy.
Speaker D:I was like, I'm not saying he got a plan, but nothing.
Speaker A:It's not the best plan, But I'm like, but it works.
Speaker A:It's so much.
Speaker C:He's like a lot of people on the timeline lately.
Speaker C:He just sounds dumb.
Speaker C:But confidently like, right.
Speaker C:Like you said that one so confidently, but so incorrect.
Speaker C:I actually had to double check my own phone, even though I knew it was wrong.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So it's like.
Speaker A:But like I said, even.
Speaker A:Even Peacemaker keeps him.
Speaker A:He's like, he's annoying, but he keeps him close.
Speaker D:But he's effective.
Speaker A:He was like.
Speaker A:Because, like, do you realize if he wasn't an anti hero, where he sees himself as a hero, that could be a whole mass murderer.
Speaker A:Like, it could be so much worse.
Speaker A:So much worse.
Speaker A:So I think so.
Speaker A:Before we go to commercial break, do you think that now that John knows what's going on, the Cotimos.
Speaker A:Now he knows what's going on.
Speaker A:Do you think he's gonna rat anybody?
Speaker A:I don't think he's gonna rat anybody out because as much as he doesn't view, he views Peacemaker there.
Speaker A:He's not so much a friend, but he's friendly.
Speaker D:I don't think he'll rat.
Speaker D:I don't think kind of most will rat anybody out.
Speaker D:But I'm sorry.
Speaker D:Just my mind he's going back to Tim Meadows character.
Speaker D:Just.
Speaker D:I. I have bird blindness.
Speaker D:It's a giant duck.
Speaker A:I'm like, dude, wait a minute.
Speaker D:How did you deliver that with a straight face?
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker D:How did you not.
Speaker D:How did you put me up against a man that knew that.
Speaker D:That knew I had blurb blindness?
Speaker D:I'm like, you could.
Speaker D:You can't tell an eagle from a duck.
Speaker A:They all look the same to me.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:They all look the same to me.
Speaker A:He's like, you never heard of a hummingbird?
Speaker A:And he described it.
Speaker A:He was like.
Speaker A:He's like.
Speaker A:I only know that because I read up on one pretty much.
Speaker D:But no, I don't think.
Speaker D:I think Economos is gonna keep it close to the chest.
Speaker D:But let's be honest.
Speaker D:Oh boy.
Speaker D:Is not too far off from just showing up on at Chris's door and just saying, you know, we need to have a conversation about my son.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:Well, I mean we're.
Speaker C:I think we're getting it.
Speaker C:Starting off with a raid.
Speaker C:Next episode after this more officially done in this goofy terrorist attack.
Speaker C:Because how do you trip with the bomb strapped to you?
Speaker D:I mean, that also is true.
Speaker A:But yeah.
Speaker D:I mean with the raid, I think they are gonna.
Speaker D:I. I think with the raid they are gonna.
Speaker D:That's gonna lead to the confrontation between Flag and.
Speaker D:Between Flag and Chris.
Speaker D:And that's gonna be a whole.
Speaker D:Another.
Speaker D:That might be a whole other James Gunn tear jerker on that one.
Speaker D:Just like.
Speaker D:I didn't.
Speaker A:I didn't mean.
Speaker C:Right.
Speaker C:Where does Waller get accountability in this?
Speaker C:Because like she was the one that ordered it.
Speaker D:She was.
Speaker D:But technically she.
Speaker C:I would love to see two high level ranking government employees yell each other.
Speaker D:But that's the thing.
Speaker D:I mean unless they.
Speaker D:Unless you know, Ms.
Speaker D:But Ms. Mrs. Davis makes an appearance outside of that Wallers and Bell Reef.
Speaker C:So even so I'm sure he'll catch a flight over there with all of his new power.
Speaker C:So I just.
Speaker C:I need.
Speaker C:I need whatever that confrontation would be to be filmed.
Speaker C:I know the workers.
Speaker C:The workers at Bell Reef Slack Chat will be on fire.
Speaker A:That I'm gonna tell you right now.
Speaker A:Waller's getting out of Bell Reef.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:I mean gun that Gun already is saying that he's doing a show for it.
Speaker A:So she's getting out of bed.
Speaker A:It's Waller.
Speaker A:She's gonna have dirt on.
Speaker D:She always has dirt on somebody.
Speaker A:It's wilder.
Speaker A:And, and, and if it.
Speaker A:If it's any consolation, after what James Gunn announced.
Speaker A:What was it last week about what we're looking forward.
Speaker A:Forward to in the next Superman film.
Speaker D:Yep.
Speaker A:With man.
Speaker D:It's a mar.
Speaker A:He's gonna work something out with Lex where he gets out.
Speaker D:Yep.
Speaker D:A work release program.
Speaker D:As long as he doesn't.
Speaker D:As long as you.
Speaker D:You know, as long as you keep it to yourself about who you want to take out and you know, keep super.
Speaker D:You know, Superman's off limits because their.
Speaker A:Their goals are aligned.
Speaker A:Their goals are definitely aligned.
Speaker A:You have this super powered alien.
Speaker A:Her task is to make sure threats do not happen.
Speaker A:They take care of jobs that no one else wants to take responsibility for.
Speaker A:She does the dirty work.
Speaker D:I just hope there's not a robot named Amazo.
Speaker A:Oh, no, no.
Speaker A:Amazo.
Speaker A:Brainiac only, please.
Speaker D:I'm gonna say we see Amazing.
Speaker C:I feel like we could get either one of those.
Speaker C:Either beginning in Supergirl and then completed in man of Tomorrow.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:I know one thing.
Speaker A:I know one thing.
Speaker A:We're getting a proper Superman sequel.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Gosh.
Speaker D:I mean, once he saw Lex in the suit.
Speaker D:And I'm like, either.
Speaker D:Either you're doing Parasite or you're laying the groundwork for Doomsday.
Speaker D:One of the two.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:I'll lean more to Brainiac or Parasite, I don't think.
Speaker A:Because somebody else made that mistake of doing Doomsday first.
Speaker D:Because they turned Doomsday into a goddamn Pokemon.
Speaker D:That's what made no freaking sense.
Speaker A:They did it early.
Speaker E:Yeah.
Speaker A:I'm like.
Speaker A:I'm like, did you just give me four stories in one movie?
Speaker D:And let's.
Speaker D:And you try to do, you know what they.
Speaker A:And I know.
Speaker D:I know we need to switch topics, but again, Lex to Doomsday was just.
Speaker D:Was not what Tony was to Ultron.
Speaker D:You can't all.
Speaker D:I mean, you can alter the storyline in the MCU to make sense.
Speaker D:You can't do it in the dcu.
Speaker A:I'm.
Speaker D:I'm sorry.
Speaker D:Because there's.
Speaker D:There's no way.
Speaker D:Lex is a smart individual.
Speaker D:But.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah, that's true.
Speaker A:He said Amanda Waller has more dirt on people than the desert ass.
Speaker A:And yeah.
Speaker D:Yep, she does.
Speaker A:Like, they was like, Amanda Waller's going to Belle Reef.
Speaker A:I'm like wood.
Speaker A:Like Martha Stewart when she went to federal prison.
Speaker A:It's like she was out gardening and everything.
Speaker D:What a smile.
Speaker A:What do you mean?
Speaker A:What do you mean, Bama?
Speaker D:You mean a ninja turtle?
Speaker D:What do you mean?
Speaker A:Oh, Doomsday.
Speaker D:Oh, yeah, that the mutated.
Speaker D:The mutated Raja.
Speaker D:That's six feet long.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker D:That didn't make any sense at all.
Speaker A:I'm sorry.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:Trust me.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:I was not in a happy place when he did.
Speaker A:I'm like, wait a minute, right?
Speaker D:Why.
Speaker D:Why are we doing this?
Speaker D:You know, as a DBZ fan, I'm kind of mad that you just basically made him just evolve like five times in.
Speaker D:In two minutes.
Speaker D:Because all he did was get hit.
Speaker A:That.
Speaker D:That's the Hulks thing.
Speaker A:Look here.
Speaker A:My wife, who does not read comics, but much like everyone else in the world, knew about the death of Superman.
Speaker A:And when she seen him.
Speaker A:When she seen Cavill, Superman died, she was like, wait, he's dead?
Speaker A:And I'm like, we will talk after the movie.
Speaker D:It's like.
Speaker D:It's like showing somebody the Transformers movie and then just saying, wait for that moment.
Speaker A:I'm like, jesus.
Speaker A:I'm like, this is what we're doing.
Speaker A:Damn it.
Speaker A:Glad we're not there anymore.
Speaker A:Glad we're not there anymore.
Speaker A:Yeah, he tried to speed run the suit.
Speaker A:Yeah, he did.
Speaker A:He was speed run the Superman arc.
Speaker A:Oh, man.
Speaker A:So we're gonna take a break.
Speaker A:We're gonna come back.
Speaker A:We are going to cover some of the worst and craziest comic book recons from DC and Marvel.
Speaker A:Now, we're not doing all of them, but we got quite a few to talk about.
Speaker A:So we'll be right back after this break.
Speaker A:Stay tuned.
Speaker A:If you got something crazy, drop it in the comments.
Speaker A:Sam.
Speaker A:Blur View is a proud affiliate of Otaku Noir.
Speaker A:Use the code blur for 10% off on all items with a different nerd themed box filled with items made by talented blurds across the country.
Speaker A:You surely will not be disappointed.
Speaker A:Go to attack onoir.com attacking Noir, the number one blurred mystery box company.
Speaker A:All right, we are back.
Speaker A:Imagine all the names I was coming up with when I made that cut.
Speaker A:So we are covering some of the worst and craziest retcons Marvel or DC Comics has covered.
Speaker A:I think Spartan, we'll start with you.
Speaker D:Oh, my bad.
Speaker D:I was jamming the Tafara.
Speaker C:I don't know why.
Speaker C:It unmutes it every time.
Speaker C:And I hit it right when we come back.
Speaker C:I don't.
Speaker D:I'm just saying your dad was getting down.
Speaker D:That's.
Speaker D:I was like, oh, it should have.
Speaker C:Been over six minutes.
Speaker C:Ago.
Speaker D:But.
Speaker C:All right.
Speaker D:You know, the.
Speaker D:The main list.
Speaker D:I. I'm just gonna go ahead and just do the elephant in the room, and I'm gonna.
Speaker D:I'm just gonna put D.C. up there.
Speaker D:The new 52.
Speaker A:Ah.
Speaker D:One of the most horrible retcons.
Speaker D:I have no idea what they were thinking between Greg Baloney and the rest of them, because for some odd reason, they sat there and said, oh, let's just reboot the entire dcu.
Speaker D:Right?
Speaker D:And let's do it in a way that just, I don't know, throw.
Speaker D:Throw darts at a board and hope it sticks.
Speaker D:Batman was terrible.
Speaker D:Superman was terrible.
Speaker D:Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Supergirl.
Speaker D:I can keep going down list.
Speaker D:There's not a new 52 story that I liked at all.
Speaker D:But if I had to think of the worst retcons, that's at least number two on my top five.
Speaker D:But that's just me.
Speaker A:Yeah, the new 52.
Speaker A:New 52 left a really funky taste in a lot of people's mouth.
Speaker A:The.
Speaker A:The redesigns were weird.
Speaker A:Not hated, but just weird.
Speaker D:It's like they literally got.
Speaker D:You know what it was?
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker D:It's as if you told Zack Snyder, hey, redo the entire DCU.
Speaker D:But I'm giving you 12 different storylines and over 20 different comics, and you can take artistic license with all of them.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker D:That's the best way I could put that.
Speaker C:We're talking just.
Speaker C:The comics are like the animated films as well.
Speaker A:The comments.
Speaker A:The comics.
Speaker C:Okay.
Speaker C:Because I was like, the reboot they did for new52 in there was just God awful.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Hence the hints that.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:The most talked about thing out of that.
Speaker A:Out of that universe.
Speaker A:Superman and Wonder Woman.
Speaker A:The kiss.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker D:That made no sense.
Speaker D:It was.
Speaker D:It was like watching siblings kiss.
Speaker A:Damn.
Speaker C:They at least broke them up and they at least said no.
Speaker C:And what was in Injustice?
Speaker C:Because she tried.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:But in, I think the new 52, they broke them up after, like, one movie because Cyborg and Flash were like, all right, this is, like, painfully awkward.
Speaker C:Can y' all stop?
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So, Mal, you're right.
Speaker A:The Heroes Reborn here also terrible.
Speaker A:He's right.
Speaker D:Good and terrible.
Speaker A:There's a lot of.
Speaker A:A lot of Synthol looked like it was used on a lot of those characters.
Speaker A:Cap looked like he had breast implants.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker A:It.
Speaker A:It just.
Speaker A:Just not good.
Speaker A:Not this off the back of Onslaught.
Speaker A:And you gave us Heroes Reborn.
Speaker A:It was such a wild idea that was just tragically executed.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And even looking back, because that was like the 90s.
Speaker A:So even looking back, it was just like, too much of everything, whether it was muscles, little feet, or pockets.
Speaker A:Oh, no.
Speaker D:It gets weird.
Speaker E:Are we talking about what's his name?
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker E:That one thing of Captain America with the triple F, double D extra E chest.
Speaker A:I.
Speaker A:That photo.
Speaker A:I had to look.
Speaker A:I was like, I remember that photo.
Speaker A:I don't remember it being that bad.
Speaker A:And then I. I actually have this.
Speaker A:I actually have that run.
Speaker A:And I'm like, oh, it is.
Speaker E:Yo.
Speaker E:His muscles.
Speaker A:That was the.
Speaker A:That.
Speaker A:The angling.
Speaker A:Like, he's so.
Speaker A:For.
Speaker A:For context, he's standing.
Speaker A:Look, you're looking at Cat from the side, right?
Speaker A:And he's.
Speaker A:But his head is towards facing you.
Speaker A:But the angling is so off that I'm like, how is this even the physics.
Speaker E:How is your drawing of feet so notoriously bad that it makes it into a Deadpool movie?
Speaker D:I got one worse than that, though.
Speaker D:Well, if you're a Spider man fan.
Speaker A:It'S worse than that.
Speaker D:But I'm sorry.
Speaker D:Go.
Speaker A:I'm gonna keep mine, but I'm sorry.
Speaker A:You're going next.
Speaker A:Yeah, go ahead.
Speaker A:Whoopty.
Speaker E:Are we just talking about the horrible things or just.
Speaker A:You can talk.
Speaker A:The horrible or the crazy?
Speaker A:Oh, your sound.
Speaker A:Say that again.
Speaker E:How about now?
Speaker D:There you go.
Speaker E:Okay.
Speaker E:I can't say I like where the X Men are going after Kakoa.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:I am not alone.
Speaker A:I am not alone.
Speaker E:I was very happy in Krakoa era X Men.
Speaker A:God, it was the best error of the X Men.
Speaker D:And what did they do?
Speaker A:They got rid of.
Speaker C:It.
Speaker D:Just.
Speaker A:You.
Speaker A:You couldn't.
Speaker A:You couldn't.
Speaker D:It's.
Speaker D:It's like.
Speaker D:It's like Peter Parker.
Speaker D:You just can't let the man have one happy arc.
Speaker D:You can't.
Speaker D:I. I'm just saying, as a spy, as.
Speaker D:As a spy, if you're a Spider man, you are just mentally destroyed.
Speaker D:Physically strong, mentally destroyed.
Speaker D:I'm just saying, of all the things that man gets put through, but no Krakoa.
Speaker A:The Kakora arc was great.
Speaker D:It covered.
Speaker D:It really covered X Men, the Uncanny X Men, X Force, forgetting three other ones.
Speaker A:But it's almost.
Speaker A:It's like he.
Speaker A:It's like Hickman gave them a soft reboot and said, we're gonna start here because this is an era that could go on.
Speaker A:And he said, it could go on for at least seven to 10 years.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker D:And it really could.
Speaker D:But for some odd reason, someone said, ah, let's wreck it.
Speaker D:Let's just.
Speaker D:Let's just burn it all down.
Speaker C:God.
Speaker A:The Ed Kraa era was the.
Speaker A:We need to have them re.
Speaker A:Revisit the Krakoan era.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:I love X Men.
Speaker A:It's the error.
Speaker A:But this Krakoan era was everything.
Speaker E:You know what made me did want to throw the book across the room.
Speaker D:What's that?
Speaker E:The Hellfire gala where they forced everybody through the.
Speaker A:Oh.
Speaker D:All through the gates.
Speaker E:Oh.
Speaker D:Oh.
Speaker D:This is right.
Speaker D:This is the reason why I said Professor X is a little.
Speaker D:Is a little bit.
Speaker D:Is a little bit too close to being.
Speaker D:I can't say the word here.
Speaker D:He's being too close to one of them.
Speaker D:When he sat there, was given the decision, you could either lead.
Speaker D:You can either lead your mutants these portals or weak or I will use you to kill them all instead.
Speaker D:He was told this by a human?
Speaker D:Yeah, you were told this by a human the whole entire time.
Speaker D:Instead of, you know.
Speaker D:And again, I can hear Magneal's words.
Speaker D:You are the most powerful psionic mutant on Earth.
Speaker D:You could literally create the utopia that you claim you want, but you choose not to be strong enough to take over the humans.
Speaker D:You'd rather try to be.
Speaker D:Try to cohabitate with them.
Speaker D:And that's your folly.
Speaker D:And of course, Professor X said, no, that's just your hubris.
Speaker D:And Magneto said, I might be for mutants, but I ain't stupid.
Speaker A:God, I love that air.
Speaker A:The Quiet Council, the midnight council where they terraform Mars is probably some of the best visuals and description as they're doing it right.
Speaker A:Magneto was.
Speaker A:Magneto was creating the poles.
Speaker A:Storm is realigning the electrons and every.
Speaker A:I'm like, this is somebody seem like.
Speaker D:You could actually do this at the same time.
Speaker D:Again, you.
Speaker D:What's the.
Speaker A:What you.
Speaker D:You literally create an island.
Speaker A:An island.
Speaker D:The reform Red terraform.
Speaker D:The moon.
Speaker D:Ref.
Speaker D:Terraform Mars.
Speaker D:What's freaking next?
Speaker D:Because I'm like, I'm not saying that, you know, the next thing I can only think of is that you create your own pocket universe.
Speaker D:But let's be honest, that's.
Speaker A:That was.
Speaker D:I'm not gonna try to figure out how they can come with that.
Speaker A:But still, they had to use Franklin Richards for that one.
Speaker D:But it was still great.
Speaker D:It was still a great arc that like.
Speaker D:Like, look, you said on it could have went on for a longer period.
Speaker D:And you could have told so many stories that honestly did not have to involve humans.
Speaker D:You could have literally had mutants having inner turmoil with the whole idea of rebirth and the whole idea of, you know, is this planet really ours?
Speaker D:You could have went so many different angles, but And.
Speaker A:And here's the.
Speaker A:Here's another thing.
Speaker A:There's.
Speaker A:There's a scene where one of the Guthrie children who lost her powers was.
Speaker A:It Had a chance to gain her powers back, and she's facing apocalypse.
Speaker A:Because, mind you, Krikora, the first thing they said was, all of them are welcome.
Speaker A:All mutants.
Speaker A:Doesn't matter what side you were on before, you're welcome here.
Speaker A:Understand?
Speaker A:You're not gonna be pulling that stuff here.
Speaker A:We're giving you a home.
Speaker A:We're making sure you're taken care of.
Speaker A:You're going to be at peace.
Speaker A:All you got to do is live.
Speaker A:And so apocalypse.
Speaker A:Apocalypse of all mutants.
Speaker A:He's facing off with her, and this battle unfolds, and it's basically a.
Speaker A:A testament of her will.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And she.
Speaker A:He's.
Speaker A:He's beating her down, but she's getting back up.
Speaker A:And he's like, you can stay down and be human, or you can get back up and be a mutant.
Speaker A:She's like, I'm getting back up.
Speaker A:And she fought to the hill and died.
Speaker A:Only because she could be reborn.
Speaker A:Because once she's reborn, she has her powers again.
Speaker D:Yep.
Speaker A:That whole.
Speaker A:That.
Speaker A:Those two pages of.
Speaker A:Of description of how that unfolds clothes.
Speaker A:I'm like, yo, this is Hickman, because he.
Speaker A:He's one of my favorite writers.
Speaker A:He.
Speaker A:He did Fantastic Four.
Speaker A:His run on Fantastic Four is beautiful.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:You know, his run on Avengers is amazing.
Speaker A:You know, so his run on.
Speaker A:When they said he's writing X Men, I'm like, oh, this is gonna be.
Speaker D:Oh, it's gonna be good.
Speaker A:This is gonna be something.
Speaker A:You know, the.
Speaker A:The whole.
Speaker A:The.
Speaker A:The way they have the whole quiet Council, they was like, this council handles this.
Speaker A:The midnight council.
Speaker A:Council handles that.
Speaker A:Vulcan got put in his place by storm.
Speaker E:Right.
Speaker D:Disrespectfully, I am more powerful than you.
Speaker D:You dare talk to the voice of soul?
Speaker D:I was like, okay.
Speaker A:She pretty much was like, I didn't want to do this.
Speaker A:The.
Speaker D:The sit your ass down was loud.
Speaker D:That's all I can say.
Speaker E:Pumpkin is a jerk, though.
Speaker A:Oh, yeah.
Speaker D:Oh, of course.
Speaker A:Like, how are you the youngest Summer's brother, and you're that much of a.
Speaker E:Jerk because he thinks he's a God.
Speaker D:Hot drunk.
Speaker D:You know, feeling.
Speaker D:Feeling himself a little too much.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And like I said, nobody talk.
Speaker A:And that's something else is.
Speaker A:I don't.
Speaker A:I can't remember how.
Speaker A:How many of the gum.
Speaker A:Three children there are because they're all country kids.
Speaker A:They're like.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:They're Sam.
Speaker A:Because there's Cannonball Husk and then I can't remember the one, the other sister.
Speaker A:But there's a lot of them.
Speaker A:They're all country kids.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker A:So it's like, imagine that family.
Speaker A:They was like, okay, your brother got his powers, and then here come Husk.
Speaker A:She got her powers.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:She.
Speaker A:Okay, he got his wife.
Speaker A:Like there's a lot of kids in that family.
Speaker A:Everybody talks about the summers, but there's a lot of gunthery kids, man.
Speaker C:They.
Speaker D:They don't talk.
Speaker A:They just pop up like they farm kids.
Speaker A:So I guess all you doing if you ain't farming, you.
Speaker D:Taste true.
Speaker E:If the silo is a rocking.
Speaker A:Damn.
Speaker A:Oh, man.
Speaker A:Safari.
Speaker A:What?
Speaker A:From the list that Mayhem gave us.
Speaker C:Which ones have we covered already?
Speaker C:I had to go pull Waters out of a truck.
Speaker A:So we talked about the Cohen era for X men and new 52.
Speaker C:And I said, was Heroes Reborn?
Speaker A:Yeah, Heroes.
Speaker C:Somebody brought up in the comments was One More Day on.
Speaker C:Or Brett.
Speaker C:Yeah, one more day on any of those lists.
Speaker A:It's One More Day is on that list.
Speaker C:Somebody says.
Speaker C:Somebody said, watch that be like the cruel twist of Spider man is that at some point the title changes from.
Speaker D:Brand New Day to One More Day Thunderbolt style.
Speaker C:That, that or the movie.
Speaker C:Somebody else said, what if the movie starts off like that?
Speaker C:It's not Brand New Day.
Speaker C:It turns into One More Day and we are already slapped back into the middle of a Mephisto realm.
Speaker C:Peter, when he already undid the wish and everyone knows who he is and his life is just constant trash.
Speaker A:I mean, we have him.
Speaker D:We have him at FISTO now.
Speaker D:So, I mean, Sasha Baron Cohen is bound to make his appearance somewhere.
Speaker C:Borat is here to troll the entire mcu, ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker A:Hey, nobody.
Speaker A:Nobody's seen that is and played it well, mind you.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker C:Yeah, I just.
Speaker C:I would not be shocked if he may they have.
Speaker C:He has to make an appearance at some point.
Speaker C:Like.
Speaker C:Like, yeah, I would be shocked if he doesn't.
Speaker C:I know the Spider Man's already got a lot weighing on it as it is with all these cameos.
Speaker A:But.
Speaker C:Yeah, I know that was like people's like, I know.
Speaker C:No Way Home was like a better done version of it because he tried to basically get his old life back and just screwed everyone else's life in the process and potentially reset three, two other timelines we may or may not know of.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:And maybe just left Michael Keaton stranded out there with.
Speaker C:With Morbius to never come home.
Speaker C:We still don't know what that's about.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker C:From what I can see about one more day, it was basically almost like Toby's run and then they just gave it the middle finger at the very end.
Speaker C:Even after like multiple variants tell you not to.
Speaker C:Including your unborn child.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:I agree.
Speaker A:I agree.
Speaker A:I was gonna say.
Speaker D:Because I was gonna.
Speaker D:Go ahead, go ahead, Chris.
Speaker A:I got one.
Speaker D:But it's, it's, it's still on the dt.
Speaker A:One is not really a retcon, but one's a retcon.
Speaker A:One isn't I.
Speaker A:And I was, I'll just go with the one that, that is a retcon.
Speaker D:Okay.
Speaker A:Avengers 1 million B.C.
Speaker D:Yes.
Speaker A:It didn't make sense.
Speaker A:Cool concept, but it didn't make sense at all.
Speaker E:Should I even bother to try to read it?
Speaker A:I would say if you want to read it, read it for the sake of knowing how certain characters are really involved with each other.
Speaker A:Like the Panther, the Black Panther of that time can control Mjolnir.
Speaker D:True.
Speaker A:Which because, because then they play on that much, much later in the Avengers where the hammer is thrown at Black Panther and he's able to will it to stop and they trying to figure out like what's going on.
Speaker A:He's like, like, oh, my ancestors could do that.
Speaker A:So there's that relation.
Speaker A:It has, it has some cool looking concepts.
Speaker A:It has cool looking concepts.
Speaker A:Like because it has the doctor Strange of that, of that time period.
Speaker A:It has the Black Panther that time period.
Speaker A:It has a Hulk of that time period.
Speaker A:Which is more like the whole.
Speaker A:It was more like a Hulk slash Quasar.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Character that, the iron Fist of that, that era.
Speaker A:So it was, it, it had the Thor was.
Speaker A:Nobody was just Odin.
Speaker A:So it had the Ghost Rider which was really cool actually because the ghost.
Speaker A:Because the, because of the, the mode of transportation was a mammoth.
Speaker A:So it had cool concepts but overall it would, it just seemed more like a overarching one shot.
Speaker A:Yeah, that's what, that's what it came off.
Speaker A:It's not, it's not a, it's not a horrible read.
Speaker A:I've had horrible reads that it wasn't a horrible.
Speaker A:It just didn't make sense like in the overall scheme of things.
Speaker D:That part.
Speaker D:I still, well, if you like like Chris said, I, of course I was kind of being harsh the first, at the first response because it, the writers could have done really better.
Speaker D:But he does got a point.
Speaker D:If you did want to see some more of the interpersonal relationships, they, they do kind of make sense.
Speaker D:But yeah, I, I, you want to Kill some time.
Speaker D:Go for it.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Because, like, their Dr.
Speaker A:Strange was at.
Speaker A:Their Dr.
Speaker A:Strange was Agamotto.
Speaker A:Like, the actual Agamotto.
Speaker A:And it just.
Speaker A:The concept of those characters are cool.
Speaker A:Those were.
Speaker A:Were rather readable and.
Speaker A:And able to kind of like, oh, okay.
Speaker A:You know, because nobody.
Speaker A:You know, especially with the hype of Black Panther, you're like, you always want to know previous Panthers who held the mantles, you know, how far back are we going?
Speaker A:You know, so, you know, they in.
Speaker A:In, like, Agamotto, you know, like, it's the Agamotto.
Speaker A:Who did it belong to?
Speaker A:Agamotto.
Speaker A:Never seen.
Speaker A:But now you do, you know, Obviously, Odin's gonna still be around.
Speaker A:That's.
Speaker A:That's kind of his thing, you know?
Speaker A:So finding out which one of these characters derived from where.
Speaker A:Those are cool.
Speaker A:But at the end of it all, it was just like, what.
Speaker A:What do we.
Speaker A:What do we learn?
Speaker A:What did we learn?
Speaker D:So that part entirely.
Speaker D:Wait.
Speaker A:Damn.
Speaker C:Now all the crisis iterations.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Speaker A:If you thought that animated run was convoluted.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Read the book.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:It's bad.
Speaker D:I'll put this way.
Speaker D:The concept was great because they had to have.
Speaker A:They.
Speaker D:D.C. had to have something equal to.
Speaker D:Equal to Marvel's Secret wars because that's.
Speaker D:That was the whole idea.
Speaker D:That was the whole idea of Christ on Infinite Earths.
Speaker D:It was literally their answer to Secret Wars.
Speaker D:The problem with Christ on Infinite Earth is that you.
Speaker D:You had a plot that had more holes in it than Swiss cheese.
Speaker D:At the same time, you literally, at one point.
Speaker D:And again, I'm spoiling this.
Speaker D:I'm sorry, but trust me, you'll save y'.
Speaker A:All.
Speaker D:I'll save you plenty of reading time.
Speaker D:At one point, Wally was the answer, and then he wasn't.
Speaker D:Then Green Lantern was the answer, then he wasn't, and then for some odd reason in.
Speaker D:In who.
Speaker D:I forgot whoever was writing the third crisis, Plastic man, was the answer.
Speaker D:To this day, I have yet to figure out why.
Speaker D:You could have took Booster Gold and gave it a better.
Speaker D:Gave him a better storyline, but no Brights on infinite Earth.
Speaker D:I'm just.
Speaker D:I'm be honest with you, because they've always.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker D:It's like you're trying to tell a grand story, but like all grand stories, they either.
Speaker D:They either save all universes or they merge them or they're all linked or it's fixed, it changes.
Speaker D:And this is the reason why you can't do this is why the reason.
Speaker D:Also, they did Crisis Too many times.
Speaker A:Way too many times.
Speaker D:That was also the problem because Secret wars doesn't get done in the mc in.
Speaker D:In Marvel that much.
Speaker D:They might.
Speaker A:You know, they've only done it, what, twice?
Speaker D:Yeah, twice.
Speaker A:Only.
Speaker D:Secret wars only been done twice.
Speaker D:Crisis has been now done seven times.
Speaker D:And the last one was still not any better.
Speaker D:Because you try to put the Monitor up against the Watch Monitor.
Speaker D:And the Monitor, for all those that don't know, is basically a guy that's being basically driven to destroy all Earths to keep one sacred.
Speaker A:That's it.
Speaker D:And he's powerful.
Speaker D:He's more powerful than the Specter.
Speaker D:That alone is, like, doesn't answer any questions on how you're.
Speaker D:How you're more powerful than supposedly one of the most powerful beings in dc.
Speaker A:They, too.
Speaker A:DC does.
Speaker A:They.
Speaker A:They abuse the hell out of a retcon.
Speaker A:They have.
Speaker A:And it's Every time.
Speaker A:It's a cry.
Speaker A:Every time they do Crisis, I'm like, they got another crisis.
Speaker A:Like.
Speaker E:Because Infinite Crisis on Infinite Earth worked out so well for them.
Speaker D:It only because.
Speaker D:Because of cw, CW banked on Grant Gustin.
Speaker D:They banked on Stephen Amell.
Speaker D:They banked really, on the strength of Arrow and the Flasho, not even counting Legends of Tomorrow, not counting Black Lightning, because Black Lightning, for some odd reason, had to be in its own universe.
Speaker D:But with those three shows, they sat there and said, you know what?
Speaker D:Let's do Crisis.
Speaker D:And of course, every DC comic fan was like, I don't.
Speaker D:Don't know if you should do that.
Speaker D:But because of Star Power and because the writers.
Speaker D:The writers in the CW went completely different.
Speaker D:Yes, the Monitor was involved, but it wasn't the same Monitor story as in the comics.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker D:They adjusted it, so that's why it was successful.
Speaker D:And at the same time, we'll also be honest, that was probably the outside of.
Speaker D:Outside of agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Speaker D:that entire crossover, because, again, this is DC's first, first moderately successful crossover on television with multiple shows.
Speaker A:So of course, they.
Speaker A:They kind of cleaned house with that.
Speaker A:Yeah, they banked on.
Speaker A:They banked on that.
Speaker A:It.
Speaker A:It was their saving grace for.
Speaker A:For a couple of years.
Speaker A:Yeah, it was just like, oh, guess what?
Speaker A:It's time for that yearly crossover.
Speaker A:And you're just like, it just got bigger and bigger.
Speaker D:Exactly.
Speaker D:Until they just again, wolfed it.
Speaker D:But then again, Flash is on too long.
Speaker D:Arrow was on too long.
Speaker D:Legends of Tomorrow, they just let that run like a Saturday nightlife special.
Speaker D:And it was like, all right, we gotta.
Speaker D:We gotta cut this, Mitchell.
Speaker D:Because Legends of Tomorrow started out serious they started, and they.
Speaker D:They went from not taking themselves too serious.
Speaker A:And it.
Speaker D:I'm gonna be honest, it made it fun once it got past the.
Speaker D:Okay, we don't have to stick with the Rip Hunter and the Lords of Time storyline.
Speaker D:We can just go out and do our own thing.
Speaker D:Which was fine because it still was funny in most.
Speaker D:In most aspects.
Speaker D:But.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:Come on, man.
Speaker A:You right, Right.
Speaker A:So Bow says Crisis titles in DC is the old prostitute on the corner trying to sell her goods to her dying day?
Speaker D:She is still sitting right.
Speaker D:Still right out there.
Speaker D:Might as well be Roxanne with.
Speaker D:Roxanne with the police plan.
Speaker A:Now, granted, Identity Crisis is a great.
Speaker A:Who done it.
Speaker A:Identity Crisis is a great whodunit.
Speaker A:But when you're going universe, when you're going multiversal, I'm like, oh, God.
Speaker C:Again.
Speaker D:But I'll tell you one that.
Speaker D:I'll tell you one that still sticks to my cross.
Speaker A:A Batman fan.
Speaker A:The three Jokers.
Speaker A:Oh, did they ever finish that?
Speaker A:They did.
Speaker D:It was finished.
Speaker D:And again, this.
Speaker D:The story, the.
Speaker D:How it wrapped up was so weak that there was no reprints.
Speaker D:Once that.
Speaker D:Once that.
Speaker D:The Three Jokers is one of the.
Speaker D:One of the DC stories that once it was told, you don't find reprints anymore.
Speaker D:And that tells you how bad the story actually is.
Speaker D:Because they try to sit there and say, oh, well, Batman didn't know he was fighting three jokers this entire time.
Speaker D:It's a straight.
Speaker D:It's.
Speaker D:And what kills me is the concept, in theory, would have been nice, but coming from Batman, who has figured out multiple things, has figured out the Lazarus Pit, has reworked Cyborg's technology, figured out Kryptonian tech, made Lex Luthor look bad.
Speaker D:But you're gonna sit there and tell me with all his intelligence, this man didn't figure out he was fighting three different jokers over four decades.
Speaker D:It don't make no sense.
Speaker D:It doesn't.
Speaker A:Greatest detective.
Speaker A:Detective.
Speaker D:World's greatest detective, but can't figure out that you've been fighting three different jokers.
Speaker D:I'm sorry.
Speaker D:That just.
Speaker D:And that's the reason why a lot of Batman fans got ticked off, because how do you call yourself the world's greatest detective?
Speaker D:But you couldn't figure that out.
Speaker A:You're your main nemesis.
Speaker A:Gave you nemeses now gave you the slip for over 40 years.
Speaker A:And you couldn't figure out you was fighting a different.
Speaker D:I'd be laughing at you too, because as I said, even the third Joker was like the third Joker at the end.
Speaker D:Sat there and said, you did not realize that I've only been fighting you for this many years.
Speaker D:He's like, I basically took over where the second one took off and then the first one, he's like.
Speaker A:And that's what's like.
Speaker A:You were.
Speaker D:I was like, he.
Speaker D:And he's laughing because the world's greatest objective is now the world's greatest punchline because you've been fighting three jokers.
Speaker D:And I'm just like, this.
Speaker D:This was not the.
Speaker D:This was not the one, two combination.
Speaker D:You were hoping it would be for a story ending.
Speaker D:That's all I'm saying.
Speaker A:No, it's.
Speaker A:It was not.
Speaker A:Not that great.
Speaker A:Exactly.
Speaker D:Exactly.
Speaker C:Like Gotham, the TV show do something like this too, where they kept passing the mantle on to someone.
Speaker D:Red Hood.
Speaker C:Was it a J?
Speaker C:There was a Jason Todd in that show.
Speaker C:Wasn't it?
Speaker C:Like, wasn't God the show with like all Batman villains and no Batman?
Speaker D:Well, there wasn't a Jason Todd, but there was a guy with the hood and that kept on passing somebody else.
Speaker D:So the J.
Speaker D:So the name.
Speaker A:Which is.
Speaker A:Which is canon.
Speaker A:That's canon, yeah.
Speaker C:Okay.
Speaker C:OG Red Hood.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker D:So he never did mention Jason's eye.
Speaker D:But as you know, Gotham was already a hard watch for me anyway because.
Speaker A:How in the world do you have rogues without Batman?
Speaker A:They kept pushing it too.
Speaker D:Don't get me wrong.
Speaker D:The guy who played Penguin loved him.
Speaker A:Oh, phenomenal.
Speaker D:And the guy who played Edward Nigma, you guys too.
Speaker D:You two nailed it.
Speaker A:I won't argue that even Jada Pinkett's Fish Mooney was still good.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker A:You know, so they.
Speaker A:They had some good characters, but you're just kind of like, where's this going?
Speaker A:Let's listen.
Speaker A:Where is this going?
Speaker A:You like?
Speaker A:Because.
Speaker A:Because, see, now you're introducing certain characters that shouldn't be here.
Speaker A:The.
Speaker A:The Poison Ivy thing is still weird to me.
Speaker A:I'll just leave it at that bear fair.
Speaker A:The Poison Ivy run was.
Speaker A:Was.
Speaker A:I'm like, ew, that's weird.
Speaker A:Someone called Chris Hansen.
Speaker D:It didn't make any sense at all.
Speaker D:But you got a point.
Speaker C:Not as bad as Deathstroke and Tara in the Judas Contract.
Speaker A:Just as bad.
Speaker C:Thank you OG Teen Titans for like, leaving that out of the movie.
Speaker A:The.
Speaker C:That entire art completely.
Speaker C:Like, oh, I could top.
Speaker D:I could top that and go more cringy.
Speaker D:I can go Norman Osborne and Gwen Stacy.
Speaker D:Oh, God.
Speaker A:Since passed.
Speaker C:That one was on the top of the list.
Speaker C:Yeah, that.
Speaker C:Why?
Speaker D:Because that one I like I said whoever.
Speaker D:If you want to talk cringy Cringy.
Speaker D:And like.
Speaker D:And like Chris said, the sins past storyline explain why those two had to hook up for this story.
Speaker A:Oh, God, that was so awkwardly weird, man.
Speaker E:Listen, anytime.
Speaker E:I think I'm thinking Willem Dafoe.
Speaker A:That's even worse.
Speaker D:But think about that Norman with the waves and Gwen Stacy.
Speaker D:Enough to make you call Chris Hansen and Law and Order svu.
Speaker A:For the.
Speaker A:For the sake of the show, we're calling them predators now.
Speaker D:Predators.
Speaker A:I'm good with that.
Speaker A:Oh, my God.
Speaker A:That.
Speaker A:I'm like, oh, it's not enough that you have to torture Peter.
Speaker A:You have to torture.
Speaker A:Oh, my God, dude.
Speaker D:It just.
Speaker D:It just didn't make any sense at all.
Speaker D:But I still say cringy.
Speaker D:One of the cringiest moments in mcu.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:Look, I'm all for redoing, because I don't know if and when we're gonna get another season of Cape Crusader, especially with Bruce Tim back on board, but y' all can leave the entire, like, him and Barb relationship out of it this time.
Speaker C:I don't think we needed that.
Speaker C:The fact that that is canon to our Justice League world is like, yeah, got them.
Speaker C:It's just this ghetto, like, gutter corner where all the bad relationships happen.
Speaker A:Yes, I.
Speaker D:We can leave that part.
Speaker D:Because at least in the Killing Joke, they.
Speaker D:At least in the Killing Joke, they.
Speaker D:Well, no, in the Killing Joke, they left that in.
Speaker D:I'm sorry.
Speaker C:I was in the killer.
Speaker C:The Killing Joke didn't have that story at all.
Speaker C:That's why I was like, why?
Speaker C:I get that you needed to pad out the run time.
Speaker C:You could have did literally anything else.
Speaker C:Like, I did not need to see that, let alone make a theater of it out of it.
Speaker D:That was still.
Speaker D:Between that and the Joker.
Speaker D:That's still cringy.
Speaker E:If we're talking about bad shipments, can we talk about Black Widow and Bruce Banner in what was the Age of Ultron?
Speaker E:I didn't like that.
Speaker D:You didn't like.
Speaker A:You.
Speaker C:You didn't like.
Speaker C:You didn't.
Speaker D:You didn't.
Speaker D:You didn't want them to have a happy ending.
Speaker E:No.
Speaker E:I mean, I could love them have a happy ending, but why would he.
Speaker A:Why would.
Speaker A:No.
Speaker A:It's such a weird.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:They got Betty back on the roster, so maybe they're going to correct the timeline.
Speaker D:Yeah, because I. I do get what you're saying, Whoopty.
Speaker D:Because, you know, Black Widow was just looking to.
Speaker D:Looking to love somebody.
Speaker D:She's tried everybody else.
Speaker D:Let me try a nerd.
Speaker D:And Bruce is like, I can't Physically have kids.
Speaker D:Which.
Speaker D:That was a.
Speaker A:He's like, well, I have you, right?
Speaker A:I have.
Speaker A:Probably have irradiated sperm, so it probably works out.
Speaker D:So that's the crazy part.
Speaker D:She's like, out of all things, like, we can't be together.
Speaker D:I can't have children.
Speaker D:It's impossible.
Speaker D:Well, I'm fixed, right?
Speaker D:And I'm thinking to myself, of all the ways to sit there.
Speaker D:I was like, just the way she said it, it's though.
Speaker D:Well, they did it in the red room.
Speaker D:It's.
Speaker D:It's.
Speaker D:It's efficient.
Speaker D:And I'm thinking to myself, is anybody else feeling cringy?
Speaker D:That one guy sit there and says that he's fixed?
Speaker D:And she's like, cool.
Speaker D:So am I.
Speaker A:And it's just.
Speaker D:It's just all get out.
Speaker C:No.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:That wasn't like.
Speaker A:She was pouring on the charm.
Speaker A:Of course Bruce was getting nervous.
Speaker A:It was like those type of things.
Speaker A:Yeah, I'm not.
Speaker A:I'm not rocking.
Speaker D:I'm like, we want Bruce to be happy, but let's be honest.
Speaker D:If him and Black Widow have an.
Speaker A:Argument, Betty could calm him down.
Speaker D:Widow's running.
Speaker A:I don't know if it's on the list, but retconning Wanda and.
Speaker A:And Pietro.
Speaker D:I can see that.
Speaker A:I. I hated that.
Speaker A:I'm like, oh, y'.
Speaker E:All.
Speaker A:Y' all copped out.
Speaker A:Y' all copped out because they copped them.
Speaker A:They were mutants at first, and then after the success of the films, they retconned them into saying, oh, they're actually not mutants.
Speaker A:Huh?
Speaker E:Their father's a mutant.
Speaker A:Yeah, their father is a whole mutant.
Speaker A:Like.
Speaker E:Like King Mutant at this point.
Speaker D:Yes.
Speaker A:I. I did.
Speaker A:I didn't like the fact because I still see Wanda and Pietro as mutants.
Speaker A:They.
Speaker A:They were born mutants.
Speaker A:They was always called mutants up until that point.
Speaker A:They're still mutants.
Speaker D:True.
Speaker D:But you know, that.
Speaker D:That's what they.
Speaker A:That was a weird retcon to get my head around.
Speaker A:I hated that.
Speaker A:They.
Speaker A:I'm like, so you had all this history and you just.
Speaker D:Why, I must say, I had another one because I was looking at that CBR list, but I'm.
Speaker D:But Tafara, Whoopi.
Speaker D:I think it's y' all guys's turn.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:Oh, so we'll do what you.
Speaker E:I'm gonna catch her flag for this.
Speaker E:We're talking about all the media, right?
Speaker A:Just the comics.
Speaker A:Comic community.
Speaker C:Comics.
Speaker E:I. Oh, just the comics.
Speaker E:Oh, rats.
Speaker A:It might.
Speaker A:Trust me.
Speaker A:One thing comics does is due to, like, whatever the popularity of a film, they end up Changing things in comics.
Speaker A:And I hate that they do that pretty much.
Speaker E:I mean, there's been a couple changes that I quite enjoyed, you know, making Samuel L. Actual Nick Fury.
Speaker A:Oh, it is that.
Speaker A:They got that inspiration from the comics.
Speaker D:So it had to work at the same time, folks.
Speaker D:And folks did complain, not realizing that what they did was actually very accurate because there are two Nick Furies.
Speaker A:That's it.
Speaker D:And as a.
Speaker A:You.
Speaker D:You do have the one that's on the moon, of course, the one that's running shield.
Speaker D:So literally, the one on the moon might as well just be the watcher.
Speaker A:So technically.
Speaker A:Technically, it's three.
Speaker A:You had.
Speaker A:You had Ultimate Nick Fury, which is where that visit visage came from.
Speaker A:And then you have 616 Nick Fury, which is.
Speaker A:Marquez.
Speaker A:Marquez.
Speaker A:I want to say Jones.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:But.
Speaker A:But his birth name is actually Nick Fury Jr.
Speaker A:So, yeah, it just worked.
Speaker A:It worked.
Speaker A:But, yeah, not a horrible.
Speaker A:Not a horrible Rick.
Speaker A:Not so much.
Speaker A:Recon just added canon.
Speaker D:Because again, if you're gonna have somebody that's gonna, you know, be the embodiment of Nick Fury to where we know from low and love from the stories, why not Simula Jackson?
Speaker D:Because all he's not allowed to say is his trademark word because they have to somehow keep it pg.
Speaker D:But saying that word was sending straight over to R.
Speaker A:Who's gonna tell.
Speaker A:Who's gonna tell?
Speaker A:Sam Jackson?
Speaker A:No.
Speaker C:What you got?
Speaker E:I just thought of one.
Speaker E:Making Ms. Marvel a mutant.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker E:I didn't need that.
Speaker E:I don't need it.
Speaker E:I don't like it.
Speaker A:I agree.
Speaker A:I don't.
Speaker A:I don't dislike her as a mutant.
Speaker E:No, I do.
Speaker E:But I like.
Speaker A:But it's just weird that.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Like, you start her out as an Inhuman, and I think.
Speaker A:Because then humans really wasn't in all media.
Speaker A:Wasn't going anywhere.
Speaker A:They just like, okay, why don't we.
Speaker A:She's a very much loved character.
Speaker A:Let's kind of put her over here.
Speaker D:And, you know, and that's always the part that never made any sense, because you cannot sit there above all else and say, okay, well, she got our powers from a Terrigen exposure.
Speaker D:Okay, cool.
Speaker D:But like you said, they were trying to bridge the gap and trying to bring more readers to read against me and read mutants.
Speaker D:I'm like, okay, well, she's not mutant.
Speaker E:That was one of the things that they.
Speaker E:I feel like they did because of the show.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:It is the show.
Speaker A:The show.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Like, Ahmad Vellani is.
Speaker A:Is a fantastic actress in this role.
Speaker A:It's her first role.
Speaker A:Acting role, period.
Speaker A:And she.
Speaker A:She does fantastically well.
Speaker A:Like, it's.
Speaker A:That's Ms. Marvel.
Speaker A:It's just like you see Patrick Stewart, dude, you're either John Luke Picard or you're Professor X.
Speaker A:Is.
Speaker A:That's.
Speaker A:It is what it is.
Speaker A:You know, Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool, flat out.
Speaker A:You know.
Speaker A:You know, up until they find a replacement.
Speaker A:Hugh Jackman is Wolverine.
Speaker A:Is.
Speaker A:It is.
Speaker A:So these are.
Speaker A:These roles.
Speaker A:So have.
Speaker A:Is such a.
Speaker A:Is such a inspiration in such a involvement in her character.
Speaker A:I think they.
Speaker A:The writers was just like, how do we make her and bring her over here?
Speaker A:Because the TV show the Inhumans, that went nowhere.
Speaker A:They.
Speaker A:They're really not trying to write it at this point in the game.
Speaker A:They're probably not even trying to write them into the MCU canon.
Speaker A:There's.
Speaker A:There's not a lot of pushing comics for them.
Speaker D:But the crazy part is Inhumans can have a great story.
Speaker A:They can.
Speaker D:I mean, with.
Speaker D:I mean, with the fact of.
Speaker D:First off, Black Bolt.
Speaker D:Which.
Speaker D:Black Bolt.
Speaker D:Yes.
Speaker D:In.
Speaker D:In.
Speaker D:In Multiverse of Madness.
Speaker D:Only because somebody ran they goddamn mouth.
Speaker D:Had he not said a dog on thing about Black Bolt's powers, this would have been over and done with.
Speaker D:That's all I'm saying.
Speaker A:Braggadocious in the midst of battle is not the best thing to do.
Speaker D:But no Inhumans.
Speaker D:Inhumans could honestly be great.
Speaker D:It could honestly be great.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker D:But like you said with television show, which I still think was badly written and poorly produced because you did more for ages of SHIELD he did for Inhumans.
Speaker D:But, yeah, it.
Speaker D:It does suck that they.
Speaker D:That they'll.
Speaker D:If they do see the light of day, it'll be down the line.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker D:Yep.
Speaker A:I got so tired of them bringing Jean back, I said, God dog it.
Speaker A:Jean died and she'll be back, like in a week.
Speaker D:And that's how.
Speaker C:Why were you just a cameo in Wolverine's bed in the Wolverine.
Speaker D:Because that's how they treat it.
Speaker D:It's like you will just.
Speaker D:Let's stop myself from cussing.
Speaker D:Sometimes you gotta let.
Speaker D:Sometimes you gotta let the person just go like, okay, you.
Speaker D:You brought her back.
Speaker D:Oh, well, she.
Speaker D:The Phoenix brought her back.
Speaker D:Okay, well, the Phoenix Force actually didn't have it.
Speaker D:Other people.
Speaker D:But at the same time, it's the reason why Phoenix Darks.
Speaker A:Dark.
Speaker D:Phoenix Dark Saga didn't do that well, because twice we got tired of literally seeing.
Speaker D:And I hate to say it.
Speaker D:No, no.
Speaker D:Knock on the actress who did play her in the.
Speaker D:In the Brian Singer directories.
Speaker A:I get that, Jensen.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker D:But again, people Got tired of it.
Speaker D:It's like, you won't.
Speaker D:It's like, at the time we were asking for Deadpool, you kept giving us Jean Gray.
Speaker D:That's about the best way I could put it.
Speaker D:This is before Ryan Reynolds and them decided to leak the footage.
Speaker D:And that's how we got Deadpool movies.
Speaker D:But we were ready to see Deadpool because, again, it was new, it was fresh, and we knew that, and the right guy was there to play him.
Speaker D:No offense to Jean Gray.
Speaker D:How many times and how many X Men movies have we seen you that you've always been the integral piece.
Speaker D:Sometimes you just need to take a step back, stay dead.
Speaker A:Yeah, it's far.
Speaker A:You got another pick.
Speaker A:Yeah, we got time for another pick.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:I'll say back to Kamala Khan.
Speaker C:I know her because we're talking about the X Men.
Speaker C:I know her creator made her an Inhuman because she was basically.
Speaker C:I think her deal came with potential movie rights.
Speaker C:And she was just like, well, if I become an X Men now I'm stuck over there where it's not going so good.
Speaker C:So my girls didn't human until that contract runs up.
Speaker D:Nice.
Speaker C:So she very much.
Speaker C:She played the long game on that one.
Speaker C:And then once the MCU was like, we'll bring her in.
Speaker C:Mutant song.
Speaker C:It's like, all right, let's go ahead and fix this.
Speaker C:The way I intended to, but had to dodge around before I ended up in whatever y' all made after.
Speaker C:What?
Speaker C:What.
Speaker C:What.
Speaker C:What was the one that everyone actually liked?
Speaker C:And then they made Phoenix 2.0 after.
Speaker A:Oh, yeah.
Speaker C:And they were just like, you know, our contract.
Speaker C:So it lasts for one more.
Speaker C:Let's go.
Speaker C:Dark feeding the second time that nobody.
Speaker C:Yeah, y' all could have stopped.
Speaker C:Y' all could have stopped right there.
Speaker D:Days of futures past.
Speaker D:It cleared the slate.
Speaker E:Whole theory about the whole Dark Phoenix thing.
Speaker E:I still haven't watched that movie.
Speaker A:You're not missing anything other than the.
Speaker D:Train scene, pretty much.
Speaker E:I refuse at this point.
Speaker A:I'll put it to you like this.
Speaker A:Just watch the train scene, walk away after that, pretty much.
Speaker D:You're not missing.
Speaker A:And here's the crazy thing.
Speaker A:Is not because of Jean Gray, right?
Speaker A:It's Magneto.
Speaker C:I'll also say, like, I know other people have dated other people in, like, the world of Spider Man.
Speaker C:I have never seen so many people celebrate a breakup until this new, recent person, this Giga Chad that Jean Gray has been not g. Mary Jane has been dating in this new Venom comic.
Speaker A:Good.
Speaker C:What is the dude's name again?
Speaker C:Like, Paul or something.
Speaker C:Yeah, I feel so bad for Paul.
Speaker C:I've never seen so many people cheer for somebody to get broken up with.
Speaker D:Because, you know, some people still still want the Mary Jane and Peter route, but at the same time, I'm just like, Paul gave you.
Speaker D:Paul gave you the jackpot Gauntlet, which is in.
Speaker D:I still say I was one of the worst, worst characters ever created.
Speaker D:Then at the same time, you design it to where the.
Speaker D:The gauntlet could kill you if it rolls.
Speaker D:If it rolls sevens, the gauntlet can kill you.
Speaker D:And then on top of that, you know, and then all Star Venom.
Speaker D:I'm not even gonna get started on that.
Speaker A:All.
Speaker D:All brand new Venom where she's Venom.
Speaker D:I'm not gonna touch that with a ten foot pole.
Speaker A:But no, I missed the Eddie Brock day.
Speaker A:Screw this.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:I'm seeing people who are like, I don't even want her to date Peter.
Speaker C:I just don't want her with.
Speaker C:With Paul.
Speaker C:Like, please, every.
Speaker C:Like every issue with that book has been, please break up with Paul.
Speaker C:Please break up with Paul.
Speaker C:Are we breaking up with Paul this issue.
Speaker A:Man.
Speaker A:So, yeah, those.
Speaker A:Those are just what we got.
Speaker A:Oh, yeah, we're right on.
Speaker A:On top.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So those are just some of the picks we have that.
Speaker A:That are just wildly.
Speaker A:Just insane or nonsensical or just crazy.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And thank you to the people in the chat who.
Speaker A:Who's dropped some of some.
Speaker A:Some major arcs that count.
Speaker A:You know, I didn't mention Superboy prime punching reality.
Speaker A:Do not get me started on that one.
Speaker A:That.
Speaker A:Oh, it's screwed.
Speaker A:I got just enough time.
Speaker A:There's nothing worse than watching where another crisis event in D.C. is going out, and they're like, well, we got to get Superboy Prime.
Speaker A:What's he gonna do, punch reality?
Speaker A:If you want to know why I didn't buy a lot of Superman comics in the, like, the 90s, like, after his death is because they made him op.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:And it.
Speaker A:I like, we.
Speaker A:I can't have Superman pushing planets.
Speaker C:Because.
Speaker A:Because what's after that?
Speaker A:How many times is Darkseid gonna show up?
Speaker D:Same with the Flash, you know?
Speaker C:Are you talking about his.
Speaker C:His new.
Speaker C:The mother of his stepchildren in Harley Quinn?
Speaker D:No, no, not.
Speaker D:Not on.
Speaker D:Not on the same.
Speaker A:Oh, no, he talked.
Speaker A:The one that looks like.
Speaker A:She looks like.
Speaker A:Yeah, Punchline.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker D:Punchline in the comics is Joker's new boo.
Speaker D:But not to the DC animated.
Speaker D:No, that's a whole.
Speaker D:That's a whole different ball game.
Speaker A:Yeah, it's.
Speaker A:It.
Speaker A:Do not make my.
Speaker A:Make him the most powerful hero on Earth, but do not make him so powerful that he's pushing planets and can fly so fast that he's breaking.
Speaker A:We already got Barry and Wally for that.
Speaker A:We don't need another one.
Speaker A:Like, he's flying so fast that he can go visit the 31st century whenever he wants.
Speaker A:Man.
Speaker A:I don't like that.
Speaker D:And again, that.
Speaker D:But like you said, it's one of those things where that's what kills super.
Speaker D:That's what killed Superman comics.
Speaker D:You stop making him human.
Speaker A:Yeah, it was like, he's so powerful.
Speaker A:What's gonna stop him?
Speaker A:Somebody brought back Doomsday again.
Speaker A:Okay, I'll watch the rematch for the second time.
Speaker A:But, like, how many times you're gonna keep bringing back this person, this creature?
Speaker C:So, yeah, I was just mad.
Speaker C:Young justice brought back Red Hood for two seasons to never use him.
Speaker C:That part just over there.
Speaker C:Bodyguard.
Speaker A:Misusing characters.
Speaker A:That's all it is.
Speaker A:Well, it is that special.
Speaker A:Time we're getting out of here.
Speaker A:Whoopty.
Speaker A:Our lady of the evening.
Speaker A:Talk to the people.
Speaker A:Oh, you muted.
Speaker E:Once again.
Speaker E:You can find me on Instagram and tick tock right here at what you freaking do.
Speaker E:And also, it's spooky season.
Speaker E:I love doing spooky nails.
Speaker A:I don't know if y' all can see me.
Speaker A:There we go.
Speaker A:Oh, that's nice.
Speaker D:Nice.
Speaker A:That's nice.
Speaker E:So if you were looking for those, you can find me also on Instagram and Tech Talk at Fresh Pressed by Z.
Speaker A:All right, all right, all right.
Speaker C:Yeah.

Speaker C:Clips are out Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Speaker C:Also, if, like, 10 of y' all could go over to Room Full of Blurs and help Kira cross that 500 mark.
Speaker C:Kind of like it's like us before we crossed over.
Speaker C:We were stuck there for, like, a month, and then we just soared over.
Speaker C:So we're just waiting on that day.
Speaker C:Thanks.
Speaker C:Thanks, Phil, for that one.
Speaker C:Because I've had to start writing stuff down.
Speaker C:I am done with Cold Lioca Quest for Infinity.
Speaker C:I am doing Sonic Riders tomorrow.
Speaker C:I just posted a recap of my early screening for the Demon Slayer movie, as well as some of the footage I got to do for Marvel's token battle, which is a lot of fun.
Speaker C:The sweats are going to be absolutely abominable in there if they play Dr. Doom.
Speaker C:Just leave the lobby.
Speaker C:Demon Slayer was good.
Speaker C:It's worth the watch.
Speaker C:It really just depends on how you feel about, like, backstory and how much of it you want.
Speaker C:We also, I.
Speaker C:It's worth spending your money.
Speaker C:I'll say that much.
Speaker C:We don't because it's, it's two and a half hours.
Speaker C:Like they don't waste a lot of that time doing anything or like doing nothing.
Speaker C:So it's, it is a solid like full length feature film.
Speaker C:So don't think it's going to be like 90 minutes in and out.
Speaker C:You are sitting there for a hot minute.
Speaker C: layed the entirety of the old: Speaker C:Still working on getting other short form and long form content out as the weeks roll on.
Speaker C:Potentially might be able to let y' all know about that new game Reloaded.
Speaker C:I am waiting until them to return my email, but they just hit me like right before the show so that's pending.
Speaker C:Other than that, stay safe, stay off the timeline and you don't Everything doesn't need our involvement.
Speaker C:Feel free to just let people tell on themselves and then delete accordingly.
Speaker A:Exactly.
Speaker A:Not every, not everything deserves a comment, but there are plenty of laughs.
Speaker A:I would say that like Deadpool, Wolverine.
Speaker C:Everybody doesn't get a speech.
Speaker C:Spartan and Demon Slayer they do.
Speaker C:I'm gonna tell you that right now.
Speaker C:Everybody gets, everyone gets a speech.
Speaker C:But not, not here, not on Earth616.
Speaker D:I had to stop myself because I was about to say.
Speaker D:I was about to say something.
Speaker A:I'm like nope, nope.
Speaker D:Not the place.
Speaker D:Not the place.
Speaker D:Black/spartan615 is where you can find me on the socials guys.
Speaker D:Shows are still going on.

Speaker D:Nintendo Direct.
Speaker D:Will they announce something different?
Speaker D:Will they announce something old?
Speaker D:Will Nintendo sue somebody?
Speaker D:Probably so definitely check us out there.
Speaker D:Outside of that I am still playing Hollow Knight Silk song.
Speaker D:I just gotta remember to put myself on tick tock on on the socials live when I'm playing so that way I actually can talk to people instead of myself.
Speaker D:That would be nice.
Speaker D:At the same time guys, the rules still do apply.
Speaker D:Respect the cosplayers all the time.
Speaker D:Cosplay is not consent.
Speaker D:Please wash your ass because trust me, viruses and whatnot are flying.
Speaker D:It's not even fall time yet.
Speaker D:So please clean clothes, hygiene, all the important things.
Speaker D:Also talk and share your fandoms.
Speaker D:Be nice, be kind, don't be a dick and we'll all be cool.
Speaker A:All right.

Speaker A:Yeah, yeah, you know, go over the room full of blurbs.
Speaker A:I don't know why it's taking everyone.
Speaker D:So long to get those two next for people.
Speaker A:I don't know why.
Speaker A:But she has good stuff.
Speaker A:She's got great guests.
Speaker A:You like indie comics?
Speaker A:She got them and she gonna walk you through them.
Speaker A:She's gonna hold your hand and walk you through it.
Speaker C:Steal a cousin or a co worker's phone and go hit that button real quick.
Speaker A:Yeah, that's all you gotta do.
Speaker A:So remember, as we close out, remember to educate yourself and others, entertain yourself and others and most of all, encourage yourself and others.
Speaker A:Also, if you have any other tier lists that you want us to cover, if you have any other weird and wonderful comic book topics you want us to talk about, you know, we've done worse villains.
Speaker A:We've done Hater of the year.
Speaker A:We've done.
Speaker D:We, we've done.
Speaker A:We might be revisiting that one after one A.
Speaker A:One A one A.
Speaker A:So if you have any other suggestions like that, please feel free to drop it in the comment section or, or on this page or wherever it is you see us playing off because until then we're gonna be minding our black ass business and then we are going to be out of here.
Speaker A:We don't celebrate.
Speaker A:We don't.
Speaker A:We just listen.
Speaker A:We don't judge.
Speaker D:And we take lunch orders.
Speaker A:And we take lunch orders.
Speaker A:We offer empathy where it's needed and this ain't one of them.
Speaker A:So that's how they wanted it.
Speaker A:That's how they gonna get it.
Speaker A:Not the ice cube.
Speaker A:That not that's the ice cube look from now, from this day for forward.
Speaker D:That'S gonna be the ice cube response.
Speaker D:Oh, okay.
Speaker A:We will see you guys Tuesday with another great topic and more news, blurred news and nerdy news that you shake a stick at.
Speaker A:Until then, we're out of here, girl.
Speaker D:Snake, are you okay?
Speaker D:Snake.
Speaker A:Snake.
Speaker A:Sa.
