Speaker A:We'll just say one more day.
Speaker A:Because once Thunderbolts hit, you know how that, that, this weird, this weird rotation.
Speaker A:This is why theaters need to bring back their run or at least make that 45 day run longer list.
Speaker A:Let's stop playing.
Speaker D:Yeah, but you know what?
Speaker D:I think they would have booted Sinners anyway for a Marvel property.
Speaker D:They would have booted it out of.
Speaker D:Out of IMAX.
Speaker A:I mean, it's already expected to hit like 160 or something.
Speaker D:It'll be all right.
Speaker D:They're gonna make their money.
Speaker D:It's gonna be a slow burn.
Speaker A:I'm hearing good things.
Speaker A:I'm hearing good things.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker D:Excuse me.
Speaker A:So it's just.
Speaker A:It's necessary, but yes, please, if.
Speaker A:If you can't see it in a 70 millimeter theater, go see it in IMAX.
Speaker A:Go see it and XD I'm support.
Speaker A:I'm.
Speaker A:I'm so disappointed in you.
Speaker A:So disappointed.

Speaker A:Tell them to change Theater 13 to an IMAX theater.
Speaker A:That way I don't have to go across town.
Speaker D:I think they gotta, like, knock down walls.
Speaker D:And to give you.
Speaker D:If you go from a regular screen.
Speaker A:Then knock down walls.
Speaker D:I think, you know, the whole building.
Speaker D:Because the, the.
Speaker D:I think the.
Speaker D:The IMAX that I go to, the real.
Speaker D:The real one, it's on a completely different floor, completely by itself.
Speaker D:Like, there is no room.
Speaker A:Look, there's time.
Speaker A:There's.
Speaker A:There's what, the main concession stand.
Speaker A:Then there's one on this side, and then there's one on.
Speaker A:You can.
Speaker A:You can shorten one of those.
Speaker A:Let's be honest, I didn't say eliminate, but you can shorten them.
Speaker D:So that's.
Speaker D:That's a lot of work.
Speaker E:That's a lot of work.
Speaker D:Just build another one.
Speaker D:Just build it up, throw it up.
Speaker D:Just do it.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah, it's fine.
Speaker A:Show y'all was in the building.
Speaker A:What's going on?

Speaker E:Which is crazy.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker A:But, you know, I love the conversations that this movie has raised.
Speaker E:100.
Speaker D:Oh, maybe I'm frozen.
Speaker E:No, you're not frozen.
Speaker E:I see.
Speaker E:I see you moving, girl.
Speaker D:I think I'm frozen.
Speaker E:You're fine.
Speaker E:Oh, she must be in her own loop because she ain't even hearing us.
Speaker A:Yep, she went glitchy.
Speaker E:She in the loop.
Speaker A:No, I love the conversations that this.
Speaker A:This movie has.
Speaker A:Me too.
Speaker A:Start up, stirred up.
Speaker A:It is.
Speaker A:It's something worth checking out.
Speaker A:Yeah, there she is.
Speaker A:She had a glitch in the Matrix.
Speaker A:No, I was saying.
Speaker A:I was saying I love what the movie.
Speaker A:This movie's conversations and what it started and the people have.
Speaker A:Who have tried to be negative about.
Speaker A:Have failed miserably.
Speaker D:Like, just read the.
Speaker D:Like, mind your business.
Speaker D:If it's not for you, it's not for you.
Speaker A:But, you know, in other words, he.
Speaker D:Wanted a piece of the pot.
Speaker D:No, no, no, you didn't.
Speaker D:No, you didn't.
Speaker E:I'm crying.
Speaker E:I don't.
Speaker E:I don't know what anybody could get out of this movie that was bad.
Speaker E:Like, just like from any of the perspectives that I've been seeing.
Speaker E:It's just like, I don't even need to read this.
Speaker E:I mean, honestly, I'm a blocker anyway.
Speaker E:I'ma block you if you say you don't like chocolate chip cookies.
Speaker E:So for this, it's just like, if I see you say something stupid about sinners, you just got blocked.
Speaker E:Like, I'm not.
Speaker E:I don't need to see you no more because it's just like, this was unnecessary.
Speaker A:Yeah, I liked it.
Speaker A:But where.
Speaker A:See, this was what we not gonna do.
Speaker D:My favorite.
Speaker D:My fa.
Speaker D:Semi.
Speaker D:Favorite one was.
Speaker D:Oh, I was disappointed in it.
Speaker D:Block.
Speaker E:Oh, really?
Speaker E:Damn, that's crazy.
Speaker A:This I.
Speaker A:I really do believe.
Speaker A:And I.
Speaker A:We've said it now.
Speaker A:He said, I've got the 245.
Speaker A:My mojo pouch.
Speaker A:I'm not taking no long ass pisses.
Speaker A:Me and Spartan protector the front, so.
Speaker A:But Yeah, I.
Speaker A:I think what's happening is people hating.
Speaker A:This is creating.
Speaker A:And we say.
Speaker A:We stated it on the show before, it's creating a new.
Speaker A:A new filmmaker, a new cinematographer, a new writer, a new actor or actress is creating a new special effects artist because this film is creating a new stage.
Speaker A:And I guarantee you that some years down the line, someone's gonna accept an award saying, Ryan Coogler's Film Centers changed how I viewed filming, or it changed my course in life to get into this.
Speaker A:Into this entertainment business.
Speaker A:So, yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So, yeah, that.
Speaker A:Man.
Speaker E:Oh, man, I.
Speaker E:I don't.
Speaker E:I remember seeing the thing y'all say in the chat, but I just.
Speaker E:For me, it's just like, there was actually.
Speaker E:There was so much cultural representation in that movie.
Speaker E:And then also, just, like, they all stood for what they needed to stand for.
Speaker E:Like.
Speaker E:Like, the people that were complaining about, oh, well, where did the.
Speaker E:The Choctaw go?
Speaker E:Let's be for real, like.
Speaker E:And then, oh, well, you know, the.
Speaker E:The china.
Speaker E:It's like, okay, yeah, they had a purpose.
Speaker E:They were there for.
Speaker E:They were there for a longer period of time because they meant something different.
Speaker E:And it's just like, they all served their purpose.
Speaker E:They were there for a reason, and they served their purpose.
Speaker E:They didn't.
Speaker E:They didn't have to be there the entire movie.
Speaker E:What's up to Fire.
Speaker E:They didn't have to be there, you know, for 30 whole minutes, like, days.
Speaker E:Just served their purpose.
Speaker E:Like, it.
Speaker E:And this wasn't a movie that was shown, like, even for me, like, when you said people said they felt disappointed, it's like, I don't even know how you feel disappointed.
Speaker E:Maybe that's just me, because I didn't really.
Speaker E:I wasn't.
Speaker E:Personally.
Speaker E:I remember when y'all was sitting in the beginning, like, months ago, I was like, I'm not going to see this movie.
Speaker E:I don't give a.
Speaker E:About vampires.
Speaker E:Like, I'm just not that person.
Speaker E:Like, but I.
Speaker E:You know, it's like, I didn't watch any trailers, really, after the initial one.
Speaker E:I didn't have anything to be disappointed by.
Speaker E:But there's really nothing to be disappointed by.
Speaker E:Like, everything served its purpose.
Speaker D:I.
Speaker D:What made you go see it?
Speaker E:I just gave in.
Speaker E:It was just like, you know what it.
Speaker E:Y'all saying?
Speaker E:It's good.
Speaker E:I got a free movie ticket.
Speaker E:I ain't been to the movies since last year sometime.
Speaker E:And whenever that was, you know, I'm usually a movie person, but I canceled my subscription, so I haven't seen movies, so I just haven't been seeing them.
Speaker E:So I was like, you know what?
Speaker E:I'm gonna use this ticket and I'm gonna go see it and check it out.
Speaker E:So, you know, I loved it.
Speaker D:You got a winner.
Speaker E:Yeah, I've been.
Speaker E:Apparently I've had that thing for a long time.
Speaker F:Okay.
Speaker E:So I'm glad I used it.
Speaker A:You know, there was.
Speaker A:There was someone's account.
Speaker A:I can't remember who it was, but they was giving their account on their viewing of the film.
Speaker A:And after the entire film was played, after the credits and everything, he said there was a small Asian, elderly Asian man sitting next to him.
Speaker A:And he.
Speaker A:Whis.
Speaker A:He said to himself, wow, that was amazing.
Speaker A:There's really no other way to put this film.
Speaker A:It's performed very well, I think.
Speaker A:It's been 141 million domestically, 161 million as of yesterday, 161 million globally.
Speaker A:It made its money.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker A:Which we knew was gonna happen.
Speaker A:It made its money back, and people are still going to see it.
Speaker A:So once.
Speaker A:Once this past weekend rolls out, we'll.
Speaker A:We'll see the smallest drop in any film history for a second week.
Speaker A:Drop.
Speaker A:It.
Speaker A:It was estimated to be at 27 drop.
Speaker A:And then it dropped down to 14.
Speaker A:Then it dropped down to 4, 10, and then it ended up actually being 6%.
Speaker A:So they.
Speaker D:I'm.
Speaker D:I'm.
Speaker D:Oh, I don't want to jinx it.
Speaker D:I.
Speaker D:I have a feeling this.
Speaker D:This weekend coming is the real test.
Speaker E:Because the Thunderbolts.
Speaker D:Yeah, it's the real thing.
Speaker A:I mean, but that's.
Speaker D:No.
Speaker D:In the.
Speaker D:In the sense of how much money isn't thunderbolts gonna make?
Speaker D:Because this is still.
Speaker E:Oh, I think that'll be.
Speaker E:But see, here's the thing.
Speaker E:My observation of Sinners has actually been.
Speaker E:It seems like from my.
Speaker E:How I have seen people talking about it and the people that I've seen talk about about it is that a lot of people that went to see it on the first week that it came out and the people that are talking about it are black.
Speaker E:Now, that's fine.
Speaker E:Completely fine.
Speaker E:But if we're thinking about, you know, how the money is made, it seems like it's really being made from us.
Speaker E:Like, I'm sure that there are other people and cultures seeing it too, but it really seems like this is a movie where black people are seeing it once, twice, three, five.
Speaker E:I've seen people say, oh, this is my sixth time.
Speaker E:Like, God damn.
Speaker E:Like, well, you know, hey.
Speaker E:But I think a lot of the money is coming from us.
Speaker E:So when you're talking about like thunderbolts and like how is it gonna fare?
Speaker E:I don't think that's really gonna mess up who the money is coming from.
Speaker E:Like.
Speaker E:Because I think people will still see thunderbolts and still be like I want to see sinners for the.
Speaker E:You ain't messing with nobody that side for five times.
Speaker E:I thought you.
Speaker E:They gonna see it again.
Speaker D:That's this.
Speaker E:Because they want to see it again.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So we're gonna take a quick break.
Speaker A:We're gonna come right back before go.
Speaker A:Well go ahead to fire.
Speaker A:I won't let you go.
Speaker C:I was gonna say it's the.
Speaker C:I don't think they'll be threat.
Speaker C:I think they'll be bothered still by there being a lot of money going anywhere else.
Speaker C:You see, they're already booting them off the the IMAX screens because well, they have to.
Speaker C:Disney does not like to share.
Speaker E:It's been two.
Speaker E:It's been two weeks.
Speaker C:Yeah, look, Sonic got zero weeks because of Mufasa.
Speaker E:So that's competing.
Speaker E:Okay.
Speaker C:Competing is different than.
Speaker C:You don't get any.
Speaker C:Like that's.
Speaker C:That's taking everything versus well because after.
Speaker E:Two weeks you don't get it after.
Speaker E:If.
Speaker E:If.
Speaker E:If they.
Speaker E:You don't.
Speaker E:That's your window for imac.
Speaker A:They're opening and then their second week numbers.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker E:Yeah.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker C:Hey look, I had to watch the hedgehogs on a regular ass screen because Disney didn't want to share.
Speaker E:I've seen how crazy.
Speaker C:I know how they play this game.
Speaker C:But yeah, the.
Speaker C:The XD for Cinemark by the way is very much we got.
Speaker C:We also have cinema.
Speaker C:Was it imax, but not really.
Speaker C:It's just a bigger theater with a wall of speakers.
Speaker C:And then there are special seats for that are interactive called D box seats.
Speaker C:And there's only like 12 in each theater.
Speaker C:So you now have to pay for a XD ticket plus an upgrade ticket if you want the whole immersive.
Speaker A:Whatever.
Speaker A:Whatever.
Speaker A:So we'll be right back.
Speaker A:Speaking of what we present, you'll see a commercial from all of us at Blurred Station.
Speaker A:But.
Speaker A:And we'll also be coming back with our guest, Caleb Parham.
Speaker A:He's talking about his new mobile game Panic Gym.
Speaker A:And Odyssey.
Speaker A:Panic Jim Odyssey.
Speaker A:Tongue Tied.
Speaker A:And we'll be right back after this.
Speaker C:There's a God.
Speaker A:Thanks.
Speaker A:So let's join the.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:Hahaha.
Speaker C:I know.
Speaker C:They answered the question.
Speaker C:Go see Captain America 4.
Speaker C:The joke wasn't supposed to run this damn long.
Speaker C:Blame Marvel, not me.
Speaker C:One second cartoon.
Speaker C:All right, we ain't gonna pretend like we don't understand the state of the world right now.

Speaker C:Y'all know that, right?
Speaker D:Wait a minute.
Speaker D:What's a trailburger?
Speaker D:Hold on.
Speaker D:Wait a minute.
Speaker D:What's a trailburger?
Speaker C:Oh, you did?
Speaker C:I've been telling you this.
Speaker A:The.
Speaker C:The rapper Bun B's got his own, like, restaurant.
Speaker C:Who?
Speaker D:You told me when you.
Speaker C:I've been saying trill burger for, like, a year since they announced Houston.
Speaker C:Where have you.
Speaker D:Not in Houston.
Speaker D:I'm in New York.
Speaker D:What is that doing for me?
Speaker C:I said, I know.
Speaker C:I've said ever since they announced Houston, I'm like, okay, so we get to go to Bun B's restaurant.
Speaker C:Like, all right, Done.
Speaker D:Done.
Speaker A:Go subscribe to the blurred station YouTube channel.
Speaker A:Our channel is up and live currently.
Speaker A:Go show your love.
Speaker A:We will be coming to you very soon with more content from the con floors and many more.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker C:Yeah, but that commercial wasn't supposed to run that.
Speaker C:Look at my hair in the old thing compared to, like, right now.
Speaker C:Like, it was supposed to last three months, not three whole ass years.
Speaker D:Hey, man, I got growth, too.
Speaker A:Look, I've grown salt in my beard since then.
Speaker A:So, I mean, there it is.
Speaker C:Also, looking at the comments, Bama, your card is.
Speaker C:Is under investigation.
Speaker C:Have you been to any movie we've told you to in the last year?
Speaker D:That's not a celebration.
Speaker D:Get the.
Speaker E:I'm crying.
Speaker D:That's two movies also.
Speaker D:I'm really sorry, Captain.
Speaker D:Honey, I'm gonna find you again this year.
Speaker E:Oh, Lord.
Speaker D:Who me find you?
Speaker D:And we gonna talk because you left me on red, and I don't appreciate that.
Speaker D:And now the boys out here trying to figure out how to talk to people to get his anime did.
Speaker D:And you could have been talking to us a little bit, and we would have helped y'all at the bare, bare minimum, but I love you, Ippy.
Speaker E:I love you.
Speaker A:I'm like, wait, me?
Speaker E:She did a virtual fade.
Speaker E:Like, that's crazy.
Speaker A:But speaking of folks who didn't wait to reach out to get their stuff seen and heard, we got a very special guest in the house.
Speaker A:His name is Caleb Parham.
Speaker A:He's the CEO of Kappa Entertainment, here to talk about his new mobile games, Panic Gym Odyssey.
Speaker A:What's going on, Caleb?
Speaker G:Hey, how you doing?
Speaker G:Can you hear me?
Speaker D:Yes.
Speaker D:Yes.
Speaker G:All right, cool.
Speaker A:Where do we begin?
Speaker A:Number one, the game is amazing.
Speaker A:I love it.
Speaker A:It's fun.
Speaker A:It's different.
Speaker A:It's like an amalgamation of things like Tetris and then it's like some added features to it.
Speaker A:But I like the animation.
Speaker G:Thank you.
Speaker A:There's characters on that game that I'm like, oh, there's.
Speaker A:Oh, I Want to see more?
Speaker A:So how did you get started in doing, like, you're building your app for your mobile game and the concept.
Speaker G:So it.
Speaker G:I started making games.
Speaker G:I was like the eighth grade.
Speaker G:I just went to Google and said, how do you make games?
Speaker G:And the program popped up and I downloaded and I taught myself over time.
Speaker G:Now, with Panic Gym, how it started was.
Speaker G: It was back in: Speaker G: Yeah, back in: Speaker G:We were at my boy's house, and she was playing Candy Crush on her phone.
Speaker G:Hey, what's that?
Speaker G:So she's like, oh, yes.
Speaker G:This game called Candy Crusher, back then, it just came out.
Speaker G:So it was hot.
Speaker G:So, okay, cool.
Speaker G:I downloaded.
Speaker G:I played it.
Speaker G:I'm like.
Speaker G:And this is no offense to anybody at King, but I was like, this sucks.
Speaker G:So I just said, you know, I think I can make something better than that.
Speaker G:So it started out, I just made a quick.
Speaker G:It was like a little compilation of demos called Cookies, and I had a game called Jim Crash up there.
Speaker G:And it kind of was like a real prototype of what you see now.
Speaker G:And a guy played it.
Speaker G:His name was Lloyd.
Speaker G:He was like, hey, Caleb, I think you have something with this one right here.
Speaker G:You should really lean into that.
Speaker G:So honestly, a lot of the game, especially in the beginning, was just me figuring stuff out, throwing things at the wall.
Speaker G:I was a waiter at the time, so how I got that.
Speaker G:Some of the characters was literally just people that walked in as customers.
Speaker G:I was like, that would be a good custom, you know, character.
Speaker G:If I exaggerate this, I'll go home and draw it.
Speaker G:The colors of the characters in terms of outfits, just because that's the only color pin I had.
Speaker G:Like, it was.
Speaker G:It was a lot of stuff like that that was just kind of thrown together.
Speaker G:And then over time, I, you know, curled it out and got people to help me who were.
Speaker G:Saw the vision and could help me out.
Speaker A:Okay, Lady Mandalore.
Speaker A:Question.
Speaker D:Lord.
Speaker D:Well, I guess, first and foremost, where can people find your game?
Speaker G:So Panic Jim Odyssey is on the App Store.
Speaker G:It's on Google Play.
Speaker G:It's on Samsung Galaxy Store as well.
Speaker E:Okay, cool.
Speaker D:I'm trying to think of something else to ask because I'm caught off guard.
Speaker D:I didn't think about this at all, and I'm very sorry.
Speaker A:Trust me.
Speaker A:She's.
Speaker A:She's.
Speaker A:She's.
Speaker A:She's.
Speaker A:It's normal.
Speaker A:It's fine.
Speaker D:Like, I need.
Speaker D:I need one good lap, and then I'm.
Speaker D:Then I'm.
Speaker D:And I'm locked In where, where do you want to go with your.
Speaker D:Like, who do you.
Speaker D:What.
Speaker D:What other games do you want to make?
Speaker D:Like, do you want to expand outside of like mobile gaming?
Speaker D:Do you want to do street like Steam or anything like that?
Speaker G:Yeah.
Speaker G:So my next game actually is going to be an update of a game I've been working on for years called Buzz Kill Zero.
Speaker G:So that's going to be on Steam and that's actually setting up for a sequel because I have a sequel already in mind.
Speaker G:I have ideas for fighting games, beat em ups, adventure games, other types of mobile.
Speaker G:I'm really gonna push mobile to bar beyond what people are used to.
Speaker A:So I want to show what people what.
Speaker A:What the people are, what we're talking about.
Speaker A:And just so they get an idea that this game is, is.
Speaker A:It's not revolutionary in terms of oh, great graphics.
Speaker A:It's like the last of us or anything.
Speaker A:No, no, this is just back to simple gaming, having fun.
Speaker A:But the characters, the character, I'm like, yo, I need to see these characters in some, some stuff.
Speaker A:You know, they just look cool.
Speaker A:And so here's the.
Speaker A:The.
Speaker A:The cinematic release trailer of Panic Gym Odyssey.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker D:Another night is gone we step into the sun Another day we will see Another battle's one each step is only one step closer to our destiny Got to make a way for us to save the day no matter the obstacles.
Speaker C:We make this to planet is not.
Speaker D:An option Whatever the problem we will face until break a day.
Speaker F:Every moment.
Speaker D:Is perfect into what we are now so come and take this chance with.
Speaker A:Me we don't know where we will.
Speaker C:Take us can't go back to the.
Speaker D:Beginning the timer is ticking we got.
Speaker C:To move forward.
Speaker D:The pressure is on now but no matter how tough things may be we will make things better as long as we're together Nothing can stop us on this Odyssey.
Speaker A:Oh oh yeah.
Speaker E:Nice.
Speaker A:First off, that song was giving me 90s vibes.
Speaker E:It was funky, it was a good amount of fun.
Speaker A:Like 90s dance vibes, like CC Music Factory and all.
Speaker G:Yeah.
Speaker G:So that's the inspiration of the.
Speaker G:That's pretty much originally with the.
Speaker G:The entire game soundtrack was going to be.
Speaker G:Eventually every other the music composers, they all just started giving me kind of house in general.
Speaker A:But.
Speaker G:And they all did their thing that's.
Speaker G:They all just went crazy on that.
Speaker G:So with that trailer it was done by animator JG who also did all the character art because I can.
Speaker G:I came up with the characters but I'm not an artist.
Speaker G:So he drew that.
Speaker G:He came up with the trailer.
Speaker G:And then a lot of people may know him as DJ Maxi the Man or Michael Staple.
Speaker G:He actually created the song and wrote the lyrics, and I got Toasty Marshmallow to actually sing on the track.
Speaker E:Oh, that was awesome.
Speaker C:That's who that was.
Speaker C:She's on tour right now.
Speaker A:He does have a beautiful voice.
Speaker C:Yeah, I've seen her perform live, man.
Speaker C:Tulsi's great.
Speaker A:Yeah, man.
Speaker A:Look at that.
Speaker A:Small world.
Speaker A:Show quote.
Speaker A:Any questions?
Speaker E:Well, I will say that the first time I met you actually was at acc.
Speaker E:You was at Atlantic Comic Con.
Speaker A:I was.
Speaker E:Yes.
Speaker E:And I played your game there with Navy.
Speaker E:Well, Navy didn't play, but Navy was, like, standing right behind me, and I was like, I.
Speaker E:I'm not good at Tetris.
Speaker E:You really, like, just give it a try.
Speaker E:And, like, okay, you know, I'll give it a try.
Speaker E:And, you know, it was pleasantly not as bad as Tetris, because I.
Speaker E:No, I'm not good at Tetris.
Speaker A:I have you anxious.
Speaker E:I don't know how.
Speaker E:Hey, I could.
Speaker E:I.
Speaker E:I have sat and watched Tetris competitions and been like, I don't know how you're doing this.
Speaker E:Okay.
Speaker E:So I remember telling you, like, and I was like, okay, I'm gonna give it a try.
Speaker E:And I was like, okay, you know what?
Speaker E:This wasn't as hard as Tetris.
Speaker E:So, like, if you, like.
Speaker E:Like, you mentioned candy crust and stuff like that, like, it is, like, I can definitely see the composition of multiple games in it, but it's also just, like, it's not as hard as some of these other games, like Tetris or anything.
Speaker E:Like.
Speaker E:And I do like that because, yeah, if it was really just Tetris light, I would have been like, yeah, I.
Speaker E:I can't do it.
Speaker E:But, yeah, it's.
Speaker E:It's.
Speaker E:It's a decent game.
Speaker E:I really do enjoy, like, the.
Speaker E:The.
Speaker E:The composition of all the different elements of it, because I think that's what makes the game play feasible for, like, the regular degular, like, mobile gamer.
Speaker E:Like you said, you are definitely branching out into, like, Steam, which I love as a PC person.
Speaker E:But, like, for mobile games, like, I def.
Speaker E:I don't play any of the same type of games that I play on mobile that I play on PC.
Speaker E:And I know some people do, like Call of Duty.
Speaker E:They.
Speaker E:They will play it on their phone.
Speaker E:Even Fortnite.
Speaker E:All these different things they'll play on their phone.
Speaker E:I'm not playing none of that on mobile.
Speaker E:So these are the types of games that I do play.
Speaker E:On mobile.
Speaker E:So I definitely like that it's just a gentle mobile game.
Speaker E:You've got like, like Chris said, like the cool characters and you're not.
Speaker E:What's the word I'm trying to say?
Speaker E:Bear with me.
Speaker E:You're not lying to us.
Speaker E:Okay.
Speaker E:Like all these other mobile games, you know how many times I have to delete an app because I'm like, I'm not doing this.
Speaker E:Like, yeah, this is not the game I signed up for.
Speaker E:So I, I appreciate that.
Speaker E:From a mobile game perspective.
Speaker E:I guess my question would be are you like for your outside of mobile game desires?
Speaker E:And I, because you mentioned a lot of different genres with the beat em ups and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker E:What is like your favorite, like what's your favorite genre of game?
Speaker E:And you know, are you building something within that genre of game?
Speaker E:And if so, like, if you can tell us a little bit more about that, I'd be interested.
Speaker G:Fighting games.
Speaker G:I like that you can be competitive, you can have a good story.
Speaker G:Just fighting.
Speaker G:I just love fighting games.
Speaker G:I love watching people who are just really good at the game fight somebody else who's really good at the game.
Speaker G:And it's almost like a chess match without terms.
Speaker G:They're just constantly going back and forth.
Speaker G:So I, I'm not making a fighting game because fighting games are number one.
Speaker G:They're very expensive and they're very, very timing intensive.
Speaker G:So I'm not making one yet.
Speaker G:But I do have ideas for quite a few.
Speaker G:I actually want to work with some big streamers at some point with some of their characters and make some type of crossover fighting game with them.
Speaker G:Yeah, but that'll, that'll be down the line.
Speaker G:Maybe I can talk about it at Drink Con.
Speaker A:But we'll see.
Speaker C:Okay, so we'll see you again.
Speaker G:We'll see each other.
Speaker A:It's definitely a time passer to play it because I, I find.
Speaker A:I'll hold.
Speaker D:I'm trying to play this hole right now.
Speaker E:No, because the way, the way you're looking down right now.
Speaker E:Right.
Speaker D:It's not, I promise I'm not being disrespectful.
Speaker A:Especially a time pass because I've been at work where I'm just like.
Speaker E:Like.
Speaker A:And when I text you I'm like, yo, this is cool.
Speaker A:I like this, you know, because it's just, we've seen some other games and they say, oh, there's this.
Speaker A:And I'm like, ah, I just, I just want to play.
Speaker D:Signed up for.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah, right.
Speaker E:So many these days is like that.
Speaker G:I actually make fun of that.
Speaker G:And one of the ads I have, I, you know, I just quickly throw out some of the features and one of the things I say is actually the game in the ad and I just leave it at that because that, that is because it's.
Speaker D:It should be.
Speaker A:Like I'm trying to pass the time and you're making me watch ads.
Speaker E:Not only that, but it's just like you told me I was going to be doing puzzles and now you got me running through story and all this stuff.
Speaker E:It's like I can't even get to a puzzle unless I do this random thing on level 35.
Speaker E:Like what?
Speaker E:Like this is crazy.
Speaker E:Like now I gotta delete the app because I'm not doing this.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So as, as you see, as some of the people who watch at home there, I show some of the gameplay and just to show you just like it's, it's completely different from Tetris because like you can actually adjust things and slide your rolls left to right so everything matches up and.
Speaker E:I'm crying much longer than I thought I would.
Speaker E:So it, yeah, like it's a, it's really fun.
Speaker E:And I think like you mentioned Candy Crush.
Speaker E:I think it's probably, it's like, it has the other aspects, but definitely I, I think it is like with the gyms and everything and the moving of like goodness.
Speaker E:That's horse.
Speaker E:Yeah.
Speaker E:Moving horizontally.
Speaker E:The gems and everything.
Speaker E:Like, I think that's a cool aspect to it that, you know, you don't get in Candy Crush or any of the derivatives because Candy Crush isn't even the first one.
Speaker E:But that's one of the most popular ones.
Speaker E:Right.
Speaker E:That has stood the test of time.
Speaker E:But yeah, I think this is, this is a cool like combination of mobile type games that still has its own difference.
Speaker G:Yeah.
Speaker G:Yeah.
Speaker G:I was really just trying to in the beginning flip Tetris upside down, which from a design side of things you would actually think that would be easy.
Speaker G:But no, in the very beginning there was a lot of things because I was coming up with problems that, you know, Tetris and was a game that influenced me too.
Speaker G:You know, these games had already figured out, but for mine, when you're moving things around, like in Tetris, when you move a piece, once you put that piece down, right, you don't have to really worry about anything shifting around.
Speaker G:But for me you're always shifting roles and stuff is always falling.
Speaker G:So there would be times I'm moving stuff around and it would fall at the same time you shift it so now you get two gems in one spot.
Speaker G:You're just like, ah.
Speaker G:So I had to come up with all these mechanical solutions to things.
Speaker G:So that was, you know, that was kind of the interesting part of it.
Speaker G:But, yeah, that was really the idea.
Speaker G:Just take it and flip it on his head.
Speaker G:And it's funny because everybody says it's not.
Speaker G:It's not as hard as you think it is.
Speaker G:I'm like, yeah, there are modes, though.
Speaker D:Yes, I'll let you know right now.
Speaker D:This.
Speaker D:This whole little bit, a little hard.
Speaker E:It's just not as hard as, like, Ted.
Speaker E:Like, it's just not as hard as, like.
Speaker E:Yeah, some of these.
Speaker E:It's like, I can't even have.
Speaker E:I can't even have fun if I have to do too much.
Speaker E:Like.
Speaker D:Right.
Speaker E:So that's what I'm saying.
Speaker E:Like, it's.
Speaker E:It's just not hard where I'm so frustrated that I have to turn off my phone.
Speaker E:Like, yeah, it's not that hard.
Speaker E:It's not frustrating.
Speaker E:Like, it's.
Speaker E:It's a good, decent decency of, like, difficulty.
Speaker D:Is it me?
Speaker D:Am I the drama crying now?
Speaker E:She said, wait, wait a minute.
Speaker E:Speak for yourself to find.
Speaker A:You got a question?
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:So you had another game with you at.
Speaker C:When you.
Speaker C:You reached out to me at Blurred Car when I was passing by the table.
Speaker C:You had another project there, right?
Speaker G:Yeah, that was Buzz Kill Zero.
Speaker G:So that was the arcade shooter.
Speaker G:That's the one I'm looking to have on Steam.
Speaker C:Okay.
Speaker C:So both of those.
Speaker C:I'm not a scrub, so I tried to play on, like, the hardest difficulty, and I, Like, I tried to.
Speaker C:I held my own for a good 30 seconds on both.
Speaker C:I was just like, oh, I get the concept from the demo.
Speaker C:I got this.
Speaker C:And, like, you know what?
Speaker C:An attempt was made.
Speaker G:So, yeah, it's Buzz Kill Zero.
Speaker G:Buzz Kill Zero is a different beast when it comes down to difficulty.
Speaker G:That's.
Speaker G:That's.
Speaker G:That's not like Panic Gym, especially on the hardest difficulties, I'm throwing everything at you.
Speaker G:So the way the difficulty works.
Speaker G:In Buzzkill 0, you have level one, that's the easiest.
Speaker G:Level two, level three, and then level 999, that's the hardest.
Speaker E:Oh, Jesus.
Speaker C:Right?
Speaker A:Just skipped right past it.
Speaker C:Just.
Speaker G:Why Safari decides I'm just gonna jump to level 999 first try.
Speaker A:Ego.
Speaker E:That's crazy.
Speaker G:I'm throwing everything at you.
Speaker G:So, you know, it starts out like Galaga, right?
Speaker G:And you have the enemy patterns, and the other difficulties, they just fire more.
Speaker G:But at level 999, I have all of them fire at you at the same time while shooting their regular patterns.
Speaker D:Oh, you're just mean.
Speaker C:Yeah, like I can.
Speaker C:I can handle.
Speaker C:Oh, they're gonna shoot.
Speaker C:And I'm like, oh, they're gonna move and shoot and.
Speaker C:And hit all kinds of different routes and angles.
Speaker C:That's what I was like, all right, there go my lives.
Speaker E:There go my lives.
Speaker G:Hey, Every way I could make it difficult, I was just, no holds bar.
Speaker G:I mean, it's beatable, you know, good luck by somebody.
Speaker E:The hardcore galaxy.
Speaker G:This is the old version of the game right here.
Speaker G:I know it looks a little different because you don't see as many bullets.
Speaker G:So Tafari, that's what you could have got to.
Speaker G:Yeah, but this is an old version of the game.
Speaker A:So let's talk about.
Speaker A:So for Panic Gym Odyssey with your cinematic trailer, and I'm looking at your characters, the idea behind it, I'm seeing.
Speaker A:I'm seeing kids comic or show or.
Speaker A:That animation is pretty nice.
Speaker A:Like it's just simple, straight to the point, not over complicated.
Speaker A:What's the storyline for it?
Speaker G:So the storyline.
Speaker G:I'll give you the Cliff Notes.
Speaker G:So about several thousand years ago, you had humanity.
Speaker G:They were exploring the entire known universe.
Speaker G:Top dog, you know, they had a whole empire with different planets, and they had a capital planet called Planet Paradise.
Speaker G:So the reason why they were able to do this is because they had come up with this revolutionary technology that they use inside of the gyms.
Speaker G:Another alien race came about, got jealous, said, we're gonna attack Planet Paradise.
Speaker G:Her, the king and the queen that you see, they were actually the king and queen during that invasion.
Speaker G:The king decides, okay, you know what?
Speaker G:I can defend Planet Paradise.
Speaker G:We'll be okay.
Speaker G:I'm gonna send my queen and some of the other people to Earth.
Speaker G:They could go there.
Speaker G:And then once I get rid of the issue, the problem here, I'll come get you guys.
Speaker G:We'll come back to Planet Paradise.
Speaker G:So she leaves.
Speaker G:The people come to settle Earth.
Speaker G:They're waiting on him.
Speaker G:He never comes.
Speaker G:They all die, you know, generations go on and go on and go on.
Speaker G:As time has gone on, the storyline of Planet paradise and coming to Earth and everything has kind of become like a legend.
Speaker G:So now you get to the current times.
Speaker G:You have the main villain, Gander, and he.
Speaker G:He has like a corporation that loans money out to different countries.
Speaker G:And he loans so much money out to the countries that they can't pay him back.
Speaker G:So then he says, you will just serve my company as like a Vassal.
Speaker G:So he basically enslaves other countries through debt.
Speaker A:That's very doom like of him.
Speaker G:It's also pretty realistic, but.
Speaker G:So he does this to every single country except for one.
Speaker G:And this one country actually has recorded every single person who's a descendant of Tiana Carr.
Speaker G:That's the queen that came from her all the way down to Paris, who is the girl with the Afropuffs.
Speaker G:So she's a direct descendant of her.
Speaker G:Gander tries to make a deal with them.
Speaker G:Hey, join my.
Speaker G:My corporation or else.
Speaker G:That's basically the deal.
Speaker G:Join or else.
Speaker G:They say, no, we're not doing it.
Speaker G:We have a history here.
Speaker G:We have a culture.
Speaker G:We're not going to get rid of this and join your corporation.
Speaker G:He says, okay, no problem.
Speaker G:He rolls in, blows the place up.
Speaker G:They hide Paris in order to try to preserve the lineage.
Speaker G:Several.
Speaker G:And she's six years old at the time.
Speaker G:So several weeks pass, she's just hitting nobody.
Speaker G:So she comes out, the place is blown up, she can't find anybody.
Speaker G:So she's rolling through the forest for six months by herself at six years old.
Speaker E:That's crazy.
Speaker A:Jesus.
Speaker G:Meanwhile, as part of Gander's actual corporation, there's like a lower class, which is most people, and then there's kind of like an upper class.
Speaker G:So Max is about eight at that time, and he is actually part of the upper class right now they have a law.
Speaker G:They're not allowed to go play in the forest.
Speaker G:But Max is kind of rambunctious.
Speaker G:If you play the game, you know, Max is kind of silly.
Speaker G:So he, he does what he wants.
Speaker G:So he goes out, plays in the forest, finds Paris, takes it to her parents.
Speaker G:Hey, I found this girl.
Speaker E:Oh.
Speaker G:She starts trying to tell them about her country.
Speaker G:They don't know the type of stuff Ganda does, so they think she's crazy, but they like her.
Speaker G:So they actually adopt her.
Speaker G:And her and Max, they're adopted brother and sister.
Speaker G:So by the time you actually get to the game now she's 13 and he's 15.
Speaker G:So what's ended up happening is Gand is now like, wait a minute, I know this girl.
Speaker G:She was part of that.
Speaker G:I gotta get her.
Speaker G:So now she decides to run.
Speaker G:Max is like, nope, if you leave, I'm leaving with you.
Speaker G:So they go out together.
Speaker G:As they're leaving, I forgot to mention something.
Speaker G:I got to go back now.
Speaker G:So way back with Sienna Car.
Speaker G:They actually had some gems that they brought with them from Planet Paradise.
Speaker G:Right.
Speaker G:While they were here on Earth, a small group of the Aliens that invaded planet paradise found them on Earth.
Speaker G:They went to battle.
Speaker G:They managed to defend Earth.
Speaker G:So what she said was, we can't use these things to live like we were doing before.
Speaker G:If they come back and they're going to come back and fight us again, we have to be prepared.
Speaker G:So she goes and hides them in different places.
Speaker G:So coming back to present day, Paris was taught about them being hidden.
Speaker G:She doesn't know exactly where they're hidden.
Speaker G:So once you get to today and they're running, go.
Speaker G:Go figure.
Speaker G:Max being Max rambunctious, he happens to find some.
Speaker G:So she's like, oh, I never thought I'd see these.
Speaker G:But if we use these, we could probably overthrow Gander.
Speaker G:So.
Speaker G:Well, that's actually Max's idea, but you get the point.
Speaker G:So the whole idea is they're now going through because now Gandhis realizes that these things are real and he actually wants to use them too, more so to stop them from being able to use them against him.
Speaker G:So now it's kind of a race where you have these two children who are going around trying to get these gems before this whole big empire does.
Speaker G:So I want to actually eventually tell the story and either the form of another game or an anime or something, but, you know, I got to build up to that point.
Speaker A:I could see that as anime.
Speaker D:I'd like to see.
Speaker A:Yeah, it could definitely work.
Speaker A:Especially with.
Speaker A:We're living in the age right now.
Speaker A:We're in a certain era right now where we thriving.
Speaker A:We eating very, very well south of midnight centers.
Speaker A:You know, we're getting some nice gyms, no pun intended.
Speaker A:Sending send it our way.
Speaker A:So we're gonna take a quick break.
Speaker A:We're gonna come back.
Speaker A:Caleb, can you stick around while we talk about some more nerdy stuff?
Speaker G:Sure.
Speaker A:All right, so we will be back with our guest, Caleb.
Speaker A:We'll be talking about some nerdy news that's been coming down the pipe.
Speaker A:And we'll be right back and enjoy the in the indie initiative Indie primetime initiative crew that we are now a sa Foreign welcome to the Super Breakdown podcast Where cosmic tales unfold.

Speaker A:Delve into the cosmic currents unraveling the mysteries of superheroes, villains and champions.
Speaker A:Embrace the cosmic energy that binds us all and let your journey begin.
Speaker A:This is the Super Breakdown podcast.
Speaker A:Enter the cosmic sag.
Speaker F:What?
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker C:What?
Speaker B:Understand I got a lot on my mind A lot on my chest Starting the war with these stars you won't get far this is the way you play a game of life A death Star so far removed from the drama we don't notice but won't hesitate to shed a light Like a patronus with mis managed troubles at a disadvantage Must be something in the water Dip your toe because you know it's warm where can you find another show with such a fine cast?
Speaker B:And if you try to box them in, they playing Minecraft and basically to sum it up like you define now this crew's the best and it figures like a line graph I'm Mary Band like the words I do I know hated you don't have to have absurd IQ they know you can't relate because they're nerds like you.
Speaker B:They help you see the world from a blur's eye.
Speaker B:You are now tuned in to Blur View and without further ado, we out.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:We are back.
Speaker A:This has.
Speaker A:There's been this resurgence within the past couple years between Predators and Alien, and as of late, as you know, if you have not seen Alien, Romulus, it's currently on Hulu and Disney plus.
Speaker A:You can watch it there as well.
Speaker A:Please watch that.
Speaker A:That's good.
Speaker A:If you haven't seen Prey, which is a Predator film, please go watch that.
Speaker A:That's good.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:But the lore continues with both these franchises, which, incidentally, are in the same universe.
Speaker A:And with Predator Badlands coming out as a animated series, I want to say.
Speaker A:And then no Animated bed.
Speaker A:No.
Speaker A:Badlands is the film that comes out in the fall.
Speaker A:I can't remember what the animated feature is called, but that's coming out early later on this, I think.
Speaker A:The summer, I want to say.
Speaker A:Yeah, I don't want to say the summer.
Speaker A:But right now they're gearing up.
Speaker A:Is it?
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:Predator.
Speaker C:Killer killers.
Speaker A:Killer killers.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:But right now, Alien Earth is starting to drum up a lot of.
Speaker A:A lot of discussion, and we're gonna look at the gestation period right here.
Speaker D:Ew.
Speaker E:No.
Speaker E:Because.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker D:Oh, no.
Speaker E:Where's the rest of the preview?
Speaker F:It's.
Speaker A:It.
Speaker C:Too quiet.
Speaker E:Don't tell me that's in.
Speaker E:After all they put us through sitting down.
Speaker A:After all they put us through.
Speaker A:Oh, my God, no.
Speaker A:So Alien Earth is dropping this summer, actually.
Speaker A:And it turns out we're not just getting the one species, we're getting five extra.
Speaker E:Is this like a series or.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker E:Oh, no.
Speaker A:I love shell calls.
Speaker E:Was like, I ain't seen Alien anything since probably the originals.
Speaker E:Like, I didn't even see the.
Speaker E:I think.
Speaker E:What.
Speaker E:Was there one that came out last year or the year before?
Speaker E:I haven't even seen that.
Speaker C:You can kind of pick up on that one and just move forward.
Speaker A:Yeah, because.
Speaker A:Because that one, Romulus, almost is a direct sequel to the first two.
Speaker E:Was.
Speaker E:Was.
Speaker E:Was.
Speaker E:Was they doing the do in that thing?
Speaker A:No.
Speaker E:Okay.
Speaker E:He was just.
Speaker E:He was just transforming.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker D:You gotta go that extra mile.
Speaker E:It looked like it.
Speaker E:I didn't like it.
Speaker C:Okay, okay.
Speaker C:So gestation, as in someone is farming and making in, like, forcibly creating this thing.
Speaker C:So.
Speaker A:Which we've come to find out over the past.
Speaker A:What few.
Speaker A:The past.
Speaker A:The last two films, Maybe three.
Speaker D:No, because they were doing that with.
Speaker D:When they cloned Ripley.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So even further back.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So that's Alien 4.
Speaker D:That's nasty.
Speaker C:So.
Speaker C:So like a science experiment.
Speaker C:They're just putting it in canisters and seeing what happens if we mix these elements together.
Speaker C:And probably getting, like, five alien offshoots or Alien plus five other franchise.
Speaker C:God knows what else.
Speaker A:God knows why.
Speaker A:Like, this is why predators exist.
Speaker A:It's just like, oh, y'all want to keep making them.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker E:I tell you, so ridiculous.
Speaker C:We don't give them names.
Speaker C:We just call them abominations and burn the corpse.
Speaker E:It.
Speaker D:It kind of feels like we're coming full circle because wasn't.
Speaker D:What the.
Speaker D:The.
Speaker D:What do they call the original dudes?
Speaker C:The Engineers.
Speaker D:The Engineers.
Speaker D:That's what they were doing.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker D:So now we're coming full circle, trying to be the engineer.
Speaker D:So something got to come and kick our ass.
Speaker D:Correct.
Speaker C:That's.
Speaker E:That's the way that goes.
Speaker A:All of the Predator, Danny Glover and Arnold Schwarzenegger, baby.
Speaker E:See, that's.
Speaker C:Look, it's either that or God.
Speaker C:It's just like, you know what?
Speaker D:All y'all.
Speaker C:This planet's prayers are all going to spam for the next six months.
Speaker C:Y'all don't learn.
Speaker C:We.
Speaker C:We've had this discussion.
Speaker C:So whatever y'all are doing over there breaks my laws, my commandments, and the Geneva Convention.
Speaker C:Good luck.
Speaker A:So in the.
Speaker A:In the Predator Badlands trailer that week, I think we premiered that, like, two weeks ago.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker A:And there's a still shot that they have of trophies.
Speaker A:Skull trophies.
Speaker A:And so the.
Speaker A:The Internet is going to Internet, and they're trying to find out who the skulls belong to.
Speaker A:And there's some theories because one of the skulls looks like a.
Speaker A:An ape.
Speaker A:So they're saying.
Speaker A:Are you saying that this is the same universe as Kaiju?
Speaker A:We already know that aliens exist.
Speaker A:There's obviously humans we don't know.
Speaker A:All we know right now is that aliens, Predator, possibly Blade Runner, if I'm not mistaken, all exist in the same universe.
Speaker C:I didn't know.
Speaker G:Blatant.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Just because of the replicants.
Speaker C:Yes.
Speaker D:One of the.
Speaker D:One of the skulls or trophies.
Speaker D:And I'm only connected because they're.
Speaker D:They're connected.
Speaker D:They're owned by Disney now.
Speaker D:Looks like the Black Panther necklace.
Speaker E:What the would they put that in there for?
Speaker D:Because.
Speaker A:I love her respect response today.
Speaker D:That is a correct response because that was my response.
Speaker D:Like, why would y'all do that?
Speaker D:Number one.
Speaker D:But a owned by Disney.
Speaker D:And two, Black Panther is a top or something to fight.
Speaker C:They are doing the whole Marvel vs.
Speaker C:Alien and Predator comics right now.
Speaker C:So they have like Panther versus the Predator, Predator and Spider Man.
Speaker C:Yes.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker G:There's a Predator in Wolverine.
Speaker G:Yeah, there's a pretty.
Speaker G:Like I said, a Predator and Spider man, which is crazy because they used to actually do them with DC because I actually have the Predator and Batman comic on the.
Speaker G:On the shelf.
Speaker G:So they used to do it with dc.
Speaker G:Predator, the comics.
Speaker G:They crossed over with Everybody.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Terminator, RoboCop, Kaiju, anything with dealing with Monster Island.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:Yeah, but I said, imagine a world where you.
Speaker A:Where as a human.
Speaker A:As a human, he's like, ah, he's.
Speaker A:Damn.
Speaker A:Xenomorphs are added again.
Speaker D:No, just give me the Kool Aid.
Speaker D:I'm not.
Speaker E:Wait, so they're fighting.
Speaker E:The aliens are fighting each other.
Speaker A:There's no.
Speaker A:So predators, they just hunt for sport.
Speaker A:Not for food, not for anything.
Speaker A:They hunt for sport.
Speaker A:So they.
Speaker A:So if you are an unarmed person, you're no threat to them.
Speaker D:You cool.
Speaker E:You know, so they're not gonna kill you.
Speaker A:Yeah, they.
Speaker A:They gonna leave you.
Speaker A:They'll leave you alone.
Speaker C:Did you ever see.
Speaker C:Did you see the first Alien vs.
Speaker C:Predator show?
Speaker E:Yo, I don't remember.
Speaker C:Okay, so remember, remember, he's.
Speaker C:The dude tries to fight him, and he looks at his skin.
Speaker C:He's like, you have cancer and you're gonna die anyway.
Speaker C:Get out my face.
Speaker C:And just drops him and walks off.
Speaker A:Like, if you.
Speaker A:Like if you're sick or sick, pregnant, unarmed, you're not a threat to them.
Speaker A:So they're just like, where's the sporting at?
Speaker A:It's similar to like a.
Speaker A:A.
Speaker A:A big game hunter.
Speaker A:If there's an injured animal, there's like, there's no sport in that.
Speaker A:I'm.
Speaker A:Why am I hunting an injured animal?
Speaker A:I want the full experience.
Speaker E:That's crazy.
Speaker A:You know, so Predators, they hunt for sport.
Speaker A:So if you're walking around and you strapped up, you know, with some gun or something, and they're just like, ah, yeah, okay.
Speaker A:Yeah, you're on my radar.
Speaker C:Between whatever the five extra species in this show is about to be and whatever we meet in the Predator.
Speaker C:Killer.
Speaker C:Killer.
Speaker C:I wouldn't be surprised if some of those skulls are just like cameos or that's.
Speaker C:That's their infinity gauntlet of, hey, we own all these things now.
Speaker C:And some of those are, like, throughout both of these series, we will meet who's connected and what other franchises do cross over into this, because clearly they're kind of setting up an AVP potential because we got the Whalen robot in the Predator in the Badlands trailer.
Speaker A:So it's.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker E:This sounds insane.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:It is insane.
Speaker A:It is insane.
Speaker A:I think they're at a stage now for both franchises to really kind of dominate and really give.
Speaker A:Give the people a really good face off.
Speaker D:Yes.
Speaker D:Whoopty.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker D:Did Predator 2 have a Xenomorph?
Speaker C:Yeah, I think that's what it was.
Speaker C:I think it was like a nice little cameo because I think a lot of.
Speaker C:I think they shared.
Speaker C:I think they shared, like, a lot of prop or, like, set workers for those movies.
Speaker C:So they're like, this would be cool.
Speaker C:And I think that's what started it.
Speaker C:People were like, well, why don't those two cross over?
Speaker C:Whereas I think they only.
Speaker A:Yeah, up until that point, they only crossed over in comics.
Speaker A:And it was just like.
Speaker A:Just make it happen.
Speaker A:Yeah, make it happen.
Speaker C: In: Speaker C:That was another 20 years in the making coming up to that.
Speaker C:I think.
Speaker A:Yeah, they just love.
Speaker A:They love to hunt.
Speaker A:It's their thing.
Speaker A:Like I said, they hunt because it's a religion, a culture and legacy, and.
Speaker C:Hopefully we're getting more of that in the.
Speaker C:The show and in the Badlands movie.
Speaker C:Because this is a teenage Predator basically trying to impress the tribe.
Speaker C:So it'd be nice to see more of the culture.
Speaker A:If anybody knows any more.
Speaker A:If anybody knows more about this culture, it's hell spawn that man is deeply knowledged in the Predator lore in.
Speaker A:In alien lore.
Speaker A:So is.
Speaker A:I'm.
Speaker A:I'm invested because it.
Speaker A:Like I told him, I said, not Romulus, but Covenant and Prometheus.
Speaker A:Prometheus was the hardest for me to get through such a.
Speaker A:It was just a long burn, you know?
Speaker A:Yeah, it was.
Speaker A:It was a long bird.
Speaker A:But I'm curious as to what other worlds or species they'll Come across just from just seeing that trophy room alone.
Speaker A:I'm like, it's not fair to have xenomorphs, a predator, predators, and then Kaiju in the same film.
Speaker A:I'm like, your.
Speaker A:Your home insurance is.
Speaker A:Is screwed.
Speaker A:I don't care what you say at this point.
Speaker A:Would you rather live there or Gotham?
Speaker A:I'll take my chances in Gotham.
Speaker A:At this point.
Speaker D:There is no insurance.
Speaker C:I mean, look, if Pearline is the mayor.
Speaker C:You said rent is only 300 bucks.
Speaker G:Got them.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:You mean nothing goes down here?
Speaker A:Just a crazy clown every now and then.
Speaker A:I'll buy ball.
Speaker A:I'll buy bottled water.
Speaker A:That's fine.
Speaker A:That's fine.
Speaker A:I'll work a first shift job.
Speaker A:I work first shift.
Speaker A:I'm indoors by 6pm bottled water.
Speaker A:I should be good.
Speaker A:No dark alleys, no corner stores.
Speaker G:So don't steal anything.
Speaker A:Don't steal anything.
Speaker G:I'll steal anything.
Speaker A:Oh, my God.
Speaker A:So season two of Andor's dropped.
Speaker A:We've got in tonight.
Speaker A:They're showing episodes four or five and six.
Speaker F:Damn.
Speaker C:For real?
Speaker A:Yeah, they're doing three episodes a week.
Speaker A:They're.
Speaker C:They just got caught up on like a season and a half.
Speaker E:That's crazy.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:But they.
Speaker A:This, obviously, if you know the lore of Star wars, you know this is going to be the final season.
Speaker A:It leads into Star Wars Rogue One.
Speaker A:You already know the story behind that, but they've ramped it up.
Speaker A:Cassian Andor has really kind of come into his own.
Speaker A:It's a very slow burn because people wanted it kind of right now, right now.
Speaker A:And it's like, no, this is like the makings of the Rebellion and how that, like, everything just kind of got how everything ended up where it is.
Speaker A:Like there are things moving behind the scenes.
Speaker A:So our.
Speaker A:Our resident Lady Mandalore, already Star wars expert, is.
Speaker A:Is here.
Speaker D:I'm not caught up on Andor, okay?
Speaker A:I'm just.
Speaker A:No, no, not saying that.
Speaker D:Part two.
Speaker D:I'm good on two, but not episode three.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker D:So be gentle.
Speaker C:Shame.
Speaker D:You ain't even watched.
Speaker D:I know you're not coming for me.
Speaker D:Not watching Rebels.
Speaker C:Nobody wanted.
Speaker C:Nobody.
Speaker C:Nobody wanted to pay for Disney xd.
Speaker A:That's why.
Speaker D:That's not my problem.
Speaker D:You had how many years of Disney plus been up?
Speaker C:Look, don't drop a new season of the thing we like after.
Speaker C:The thing that nobody like is like, hey, remember Rebels?
Speaker C:Us neither.
Speaker C:Come back to Clone wars real quick.
Speaker C:It.
Speaker A:So from what you've seen, Lady Man.
Speaker A:Lady Mandalore, episodes 1 and 2, seeing two factions of completely unre Unprepared rebels go.
Speaker D:I mean, they're getting it out the mud.
Speaker A:They.
Speaker D:They are being honest.
Speaker D:I'm.
Speaker D:They.
Speaker A:No.
Speaker A:No leadership at all.
Speaker D:None.
Speaker D:Everybody is Alpha.
Speaker D:I don't know where am I?
Speaker D:Who's got the money?
Speaker D:Is.
Speaker D:Is my whole thing.
Speaker D:I don't know where.
Speaker D:What you mean I can't do what I want with the money that we got you?
Speaker D:What you mean whose daughter.
Speaker D:Why do I gotta marry this one off?
Speaker D:In order to.
Speaker D:It.
Speaker D:It's.
Speaker D:It's a wild.
Speaker D:It's a wild ride.
Speaker D:It's a wild ride.
Speaker D:Getting.
Speaker D:Getting money for your.
Speaker D:Your.
Speaker D:Your.
Speaker A:You know, look.
Speaker A:Watching Cassian.
Speaker A:Watching Cassian steal a tie steal this TIE fighter and not know how to start this thing up.
Speaker A:I'm like you.
Speaker A:This whole plan was practically flawless.
Speaker A:Until.
Speaker F:It's kind of funny, actually.
Speaker D:I mean, but that's also a call back to what he did when they were stealing.
Speaker D:What was.
Speaker D:Was them stealing the train.
Speaker F:Yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker D:How Y'all don't even know how the y'all gonna drive this hoe out of the.
Speaker D:Out of the.
Speaker D:The long.
Speaker D:The landing pad.
Speaker D:How?
Speaker F:We don't.
Speaker D:Y don't have a plan.
Speaker F:We don't plan.
Speaker F:We improvise.
Speaker D:You gonna improvise in jail, you better figure out how to.
Speaker D:You know what?
Speaker D:Let me stop before I.
Speaker C:He.
Speaker A:He improvised the hell out of that TIE fighter getting out the land.
Speaker D:I mean, he figured it out and got it.
Speaker F:He got it.
Speaker D:Record time.
Speaker C:Hey.
Speaker F:It's just like a stealth mission.
Speaker F:It's still a self mission if there are no witnesses.
Speaker C:I just like that they were like, should we help?
Speaker C:Is it like a malfunction?
Speaker C:Nope.
Speaker C:Just shoot it down.
Speaker A:All because he could figure out how to get out of there.
Speaker A:I'm like, ah, damn.
Speaker A:So close.
Speaker A:Like he's looking for the seat.
Speaker A:He doesn't know that the seat comes up when you stand in a certain spot and doesn't.
Speaker A:He can't control it.
Speaker A:Right there.
Speaker A:He figures out the guns pretty quickly, though.
Speaker D:I mean, that's the easiest part.
Speaker F:Just point and shoot.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:He's like, oh, that's what that is.
Speaker C:Button.
Speaker D:Push red button.
Speaker D:There we go.
Speaker A:Charge up.
Speaker A:Okay, I need a moment to do that.
Speaker A:Weapons hide over here.
Speaker F:Got it.
Speaker A:Him.
Speaker A:But him getting to that planet where the two factions are at and they're.
Speaker A:They're fighting for food.
Speaker A:What?
Speaker A:He's just watching them like, they're like, he's.
Speaker A:He's part.
Speaker A:He's part of the Empire.
Speaker A:He's like, no, I'm not.
Speaker A:Because he's wearing he's wearing flight gear, but he had to plot himself way.
Speaker A:His plot is so weight his way in there and just watching them go at it.
Speaker A:And I know he's sitting there like they are so unprepared.
Speaker A:It's like so under Mon Mothra.
Speaker A:Mothra is getting ready to get married.
Speaker A:That stuff is unfolding, like very quickly.
Speaker A:Oh, by the way, Spartan, I don't know if you've seen episode three, but they got a hell of a dj.
Speaker A:I didn't know they could get down like that.
Speaker A:I'm like, this music is kind of.
Speaker F:Hitting right here since the.
Speaker F:Since the bar on Tatooine, sir.
Speaker F:Come on now.
Speaker F:If anything, Star wars is not short on it's exceptional music and just DJs you did not see coming.
Speaker A:It was damn near a rave in there at the wedding.
Speaker A:It was damn near.
Speaker A:Wait, rave?
Speaker A:And I'm like, yo, they kind of getting it right now.
Speaker A:Everybody getting it.
Speaker D:I mean, the music's always been popping on Star Wars.
Speaker D:I mean, it's.
Speaker D:It's never not been like a bop going off in there.
Speaker F:It's an understood language.
Speaker F:You cannot.
Speaker F:You can't have a bad beat on Star wars while getting your ass hit by lightsaber.
Speaker A:So I.
Speaker A:I'm waiting to see how they.
Speaker A:It's now.
Speaker A:It's not about how it ends.
Speaker A:It's about how did they get there?
Speaker A:That's.
Speaker A:And that's the story of everything and how it plays out.
Speaker A:I'm liking it.
Speaker A:I.
Speaker A:I'm with it.
Speaker A:You know, they've gone.
Speaker A:That first season was your slow build up.
Speaker A:That was the slow builder.
Speaker A:How they.
Speaker A:How everything got where it is and exceptionally slow.
Speaker A:Yeah, it.
Speaker A:It took a minute, but like, the.
Speaker F:Parking brake was still on.
Speaker G:Slow.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So, okay, here's a conversation that's been running around still in the Star wars universe.
Speaker A:Lady Mandalore, I need your opinion.
Speaker D:Oh, no, I'm listening.
Speaker D:I'm locked in.
Speaker D:Don't worry.
Speaker D:Don't.
Speaker A:Just because I'm looking up and I'm trying to figure.
Speaker C:She's trying to catch up right now.
Speaker A:Knowing that don't clock me.
Speaker A:Yoda.
Speaker A:Yoda has.
Speaker A:Especially with the acolyte and everything else.
Speaker A:Would you say that Yoda was part of the problem?
Speaker G:Yes.
Speaker D:Yes.
Speaker C:Was.
Speaker C:Yes.
Speaker D:Nodding to a whole bunch of.
Speaker D:He shouldn't have been.
Speaker D:Yes.
Speaker D:Nodding to.
Speaker D:But you know, you don't know what you don't know until you don't know it.
Speaker D:So I can't really blame him.
Speaker D:100.
Speaker D:You know, if he had knew what he.
Speaker D:He didn't know, then he wouldn't have did what he did.
Speaker A:Would you say it's more or less he was hearing the rubblings and getting pieces of information, but considering the fact that by the time it really started coming down, the people that he was around were no longer around.
Speaker A:So it was just like, you know, so he couldn't really.
Speaker A:Who do I talk to?
Speaker A:Type of situation.
Speaker D:He wasn't talking to the right people.
Speaker D:He wasn't.
Speaker D:He did not have his.
Speaker D:No pun intended.
Speaker D:He didn't have his ears to the ground.
Speaker D:Mighty close.
Speaker D:Mighty close.
Speaker D:But he wasn't talking to the right people.
Speaker D:He wasn't in the mix, if you will.
Speaker D:Like, he was talking to Padme, but you talking to her, like, when she's on her way out of.
Speaker D:Like, what.
Speaker D:What are we.
Speaker D:What are we supposed to.
Speaker D:What is she supposed to do with that information?
Speaker D:Why didn't you check your boy when he was trying to be the Jedi Master?
Speaker D:Why didn't you check Qui Gon when he was doing his own, you know, running around trying to kidnap other people?
Speaker F:All he had to do was follow one instruction.
Speaker F:Wait here, you will have my trust.
Speaker F:If you wait here, you will have my trust.
Speaker A:Cool.
Speaker A:What I'm gonna do?
Speaker A:I'm gonna take off.
Speaker D:I would do my own thing.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:It's us being fans.
Speaker A:What?
Speaker A:Yeah, us as fans and realizing the.
Speaker A:The overall build on, like, you're like, damn, this could have.
Speaker A:Y'all could have stopped this.
Speaker D:You know?
Speaker D:You know who Yoda is.
Speaker D:Yoda's a democratic party.
Speaker D:You sitting there.
Speaker D:I said what I said.
Speaker D:You sitting there thinking all is sweet and things are just g.
Speaker D:Everybody's gonna play the game.
Speaker D:We're gonna play the game the way the game's supposed to be played.
Speaker D:Nobody's gonna break the rules.
Speaker D:This is how we play the game.
Speaker D:No, ain't nobody said that.
Speaker D:Ain't nobody said that.
Speaker A:George Lucas did say these things.
Speaker A:Look, I'm.
Speaker A:You see what's happening in the world.
Speaker A:Is this not Star Wars?
Speaker D:No, it's not.
Speaker D:Because we don't have nobody to come and save us.
Speaker D:There is no only hope.
Speaker D:The hope is, why the rebels hoping a bullet.
Speaker D:That's all.
Speaker D:I'm sorry.
Speaker F:This is kind of rogue one right now.
Speaker D:I went too far.
Speaker F:It is kind of rogue.
Speaker E:Did you?
Speaker A:I did.
Speaker E:No, actually, she said I shouldn't have said it on live, but you know my heart.
Speaker C:If we're talking old life experience and no one listens to them, does that make Yoda Bernie Sanders?
Speaker F:Yes.
Speaker E:Because she.
Speaker F:Because, hey, Kira opened the door.
Speaker F:I'm just walking through it.
Speaker D:Yes, I'm not saying you wrong either.
Speaker E:Who.
Speaker D:What?
Speaker D:Who am I to.
Speaker D:Who am I to tell you?
Speaker F:But I would say would.
Speaker A:Would Bernie Sanders be considered the Yoda?
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker F:No, I told.
Speaker A:Because like he's.
Speaker A:He's loud.
Speaker A:He's been loud about it.
Speaker A:Do nothing but he's been loud about it.
Speaker A:Unlike Yoda.
Speaker A:Unlike Yoda.
Speaker A:Yoda didn't say it say.
Speaker A:He didn't say what he wanted to say or should have said.
Speaker A:Bernie has been saying it.
Speaker F:But I am now coming to ask for your support.
Speaker D:Bernie's Anakin.
Speaker F:Okay.
Speaker F:No, no, no.
Speaker D:Bernie's kind of Anakin, listen, look, we all know what's going on over there in that country where they doing things.
Speaker C:He's got too much back pain to be any Anakin.
Speaker A:No, no.
Speaker D:I didn't think it was baby Anakin.
Speaker D:I'm saying a little bit.
Speaker F:See, see you're comparing.
Speaker A:I'm.
Speaker F:I'm still saying America's right now Rogue One.
Speaker F:You have no Sith, you have no Jedi.
Speaker F:But you have grumblings or resistance on an impeding empire.
Speaker F:That's Rogue One.
Speaker C:And people that care way too much about doing their jobs right while pissing everyone else off in the process.
Speaker C:Why does this blonde woman getting so much time.
Speaker C:Who is this?
Speaker C:This exactly.
Speaker C:I did not think she was gonna make it up the finale.
Speaker C:But no, you got that one over.
Speaker C:You got that one overzealous cooworker.
Speaker A:So I gotta ask Caleb.
Speaker A:Caleb, I don't know how well versed in the.
Speaker A:In Star.
Speaker A:In the Star Warsian.
Speaker D:Sorry Caleb.
Speaker A:But what I don't know if you've watched Andor or any of the Star wars, but what do you think of what we've already discussed of this could have been stopped and we possibly.
Speaker A:Possibly.
Speaker A:I mean because Yoda's kind of old.
Speaker A:Kind of.
Speaker A:He was.
Speaker A:He was old when it was building up.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:But he couldn't count Dooku.
Speaker G:So I'm gonna be honest.
Speaker G:I have not watched anything Star wars Since like episode 3 got released way back in the day.
Speaker A:So he didn't see the re release.
Speaker C:It got released again last week.
Speaker A:Giving him the high five.
Speaker A:Fine.
Speaker G:The most I've done is played Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2 on the PS2.
Speaker G:So we are now at the PlayStation 5.
Speaker G:So I'll let you know how long.
Speaker A:It'S been I've done anything and I need my battlefront.
Speaker C:So it's officially been 20 years because all those things are turning that Old.
Speaker G:Yeah.
Speaker F:The last time EA actually did something right.
Speaker C:No, I don't think EA was on that one.
Speaker G:Yeah, actually, no, no, that was.
Speaker C:They did the.
Speaker C:The current one.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker F:Lucas Arts did the original one, right?
Speaker G:Yeah, but that wasn't.
Speaker G:Yay.
Speaker C:And then we got the remakes, which pissed off everybody.
Speaker C:Thanks for nothing.
Speaker G:Yeah, that's because they didn't play anything like the originals.
Speaker A:That is true.
Speaker C:I couldn't find a match.
Speaker C:I was stuck in limbo lobby for like the first three hours.
Speaker C:I went to bed.
Speaker A:Yeah, it was.
Speaker G:Safari.
Speaker A:Went to bed with the controller still with his head.
Speaker A:He was like.
Speaker E:Everybody's like, oh, the game probably did for real.
Speaker C:Everybody's on Twitter.
Speaker C:They said other game launches at midnight.
Speaker C:Like, if it's just a port with like some clean textures and whatnot, it doesn't take much to run, especially on a switch.
Speaker C:And everybody's like, hey, it's like 6am and I'm still locked out.
Speaker C:What's going on?
Speaker F:And this is why I'm so glad I'm.
Speaker F:This is why I'm so glad I'm not on network teams anymore.
Speaker F:Because as soon as something went wrong.
Speaker F:All hands on deck.
Speaker F:Not me.
Speaker C:I don't think they ever fixed.
Speaker C:It was clearly a cash grab.
Speaker C:There was no plans to fix any of that.
Speaker C:It just.
Speaker G:No.
Speaker C:That game was unfortunately dead on arrival.
Speaker C:We'll try again in another 20 years.
Speaker A:Well, here we are.
Speaker A:Something.
Speaker A:So I.
Speaker A:I think what we're seeing out of Andor is they're getting to.
Speaker A:They're getting to the point obviously, like, everything is literally coming to a head where they're just like, all right, now it's completely like, everybody's on the run.
Speaker A:Everybody's on the run.
Speaker A:Like, just.
Speaker A:It's like, just don't get caught that part.
Speaker C:So your mother went out like a real G with that final message.
Speaker F:Yes, you did rise up and.
Speaker A:And they look.
Speaker A:So who would that be then.
Speaker E:Lord?
Speaker A:Not Jasmine.
Speaker A:Don't you.
Speaker A:No, no, no, no, no.
Speaker D:Oh, girl.
Speaker D:That.
Speaker A:Oh, Aoc.
Speaker C:Oh, I was gonna say the Sniper.
Speaker G:No, no, no, no, no.
Speaker A:Yeah, you're on the zone.
Speaker C:I was gonna say the Sniper from last summer, but that works too.
Speaker A:Yeah, there was.
Speaker A:There was no grassy mole.
Speaker D:Would have hit.
Speaker C:We watched.
Speaker C:We saw that failed attempt.
Speaker C:We went right to recording Captain America for wrap.
Speaker F:That with the green hat menace.
Speaker E:This is insane.
Speaker A:So Spartan, you were able to see sinners.
Speaker E:It's about time.
Speaker A:The way.
Speaker A:The way she is lording that over you right now.
Speaker F:Was that show called Was that Kira?
Speaker D:Really?
Speaker A:Ms.
Speaker F:Mechanical Keyboard.
Speaker E:Hey, you know, it's about time.
Speaker E:Like it.
Speaker A:She doubled down.
Speaker E:This.
Speaker C:This from the person who don't like nothing and don't be seeing nothing.
Speaker E:She's like, I used to see everything.
Speaker E:Okay, but you know, miss I'm picky on movies, right?
Speaker C:Which lets you know the kind of code.
Speaker G:I was gonna leave you alone show.
Speaker F:Quote, but since you put on my lateness, Ms.
Speaker F:Vicky.
Speaker E:Hey, you know, y'all, you got a movie to see this weekend.
Speaker E:You can't.
Speaker E:You know, you.
Speaker E:You just.
Speaker E:You gotta see it.
Speaker C:It's okay.
Speaker C:We still have established.
Speaker A:Look, she talking big cash right there.
Speaker A:I love it.
Speaker C:We've still established that Bama is at the bottom of the totem pole for this episode.
Speaker D:Oh, no.
Speaker D:Bama on a shit list.
Speaker D:We love you, Bama, but you.
Speaker C:Yeah, but you got homework to do.
Speaker C:You got like six movies.
Speaker E:That he hasn't seen.
Speaker C:Cab 4 he hasn't seen.
Speaker C:Bam ain't seen a movie we recommended in like six months.
Speaker D:But about to double down on thunderbolts.
Speaker A:You.
Speaker D:That's what you're gonna go see.
Speaker F:I will say.
Speaker F:I will say this about sitters.
Speaker F:My goodness, if that does not open the door, and it does not, I will.
Speaker F:I.
Speaker F:I was.
Speaker F:I was trying.
Speaker F:I was trying to find words in the group chat Saturday when me and my wife went to go see it.
Speaker F:I had no words.
Speaker F:Not because it wasn't bad.
Speaker F:My God, it was great.
Speaker F:It had.
Speaker F:It was a multi layered symbolic message filled musically driven, narratively, beautifully written story.
Speaker F:And the.
Speaker F:There's no other thing.
Speaker F:There's.
Speaker F:There's really no other way to say it but to go see it.
Speaker F:I could.
Speaker F:We could sit.
Speaker F:I could sit here and tell you about certain characters.
Speaker F:I can sit here and tell you about one character they should have knocked out from the beginning because she was.
Speaker A:The one weak link.
Speaker F:I can go down the entire line of the fact of.
Speaker E:Of.
Speaker F:Of the biggest dude being biggest dude, his six sense not being on in the middle of the goddamn woods.
Speaker F:But again, go see the movie.
Speaker F:It is great.
Speaker F:I highly recommend it.
Speaker F:Yeah, I can't say nothing else to me on that.
Speaker C:They caught cornbread midstream.
Speaker C:He gets a pass, like clearly several times.
Speaker C:The way he was.
Speaker C:The way you can hear him stopping the stream.
Speaker C:Like.
Speaker E:Like he did not have to.
Speaker E:Like, as somebody who goes camping and some, like, who be outside sometimes, it's like, what.
Speaker E:Why are you in the grass deep in.
Speaker E:At the night time where nobody is.
Speaker E:Is watching for you?
Speaker F:No, you.
Speaker F:You behind a tree deep in the woods and you Hear.
Speaker F:Nope.
Speaker C:I did not hear that the first time.
Speaker C:When I listened the second time, I was like, I hear the whisper in his name.
Speaker C:I'm like, yeah, this would have been a walking stream for me.
Speaker C:Like, I would have said walking, streaming.
Speaker C:My back turned to the bush, and it's just like, you can bite me, but you're getting some on your leg.
Speaker C:Come over here.
Speaker E:Said, I'm gonna be waddling, walking away.
Speaker E:Like, what?
Speaker F:I'm sorry.
Speaker A:The.
Speaker A:The need.
Speaker F:The need to answer nature's call would have been immediately canceled.
Speaker F:That or could have been like, nope.
Speaker A:Generally it is cancer.
Speaker A:It was like, this can wait.
Speaker A:It ain't got to go that bad, right?
Speaker E:But not just.
Speaker F:But not once.
Speaker F:Three times.
Speaker F:He heard his name, right?
Speaker F:And he stood.
Speaker F:I was like, I was in the theater like this.
Speaker E:He wanted to die.
Speaker D:That man is a kegel master.
Speaker D:Ain't no way.
Speaker D:Three times mid stream.
Speaker C:I don't know if that's the word.
Speaker D:For it for a man.
Speaker D:It's probably not, but he's still a kegel.
Speaker D:I'm sorry.
Speaker D:How you do that three times at the height of the pee.
Speaker D:Peeing.
Speaker D:You go, whoop you.
Speaker D:You shut that right down.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker F:I'm sorry.
Speaker E:Like I said, you had to pee that bad.
Speaker E:And at the same time, he was peeing like a pint.
Speaker C:If it calls for it or you're trying to ease drive.
Speaker C:Yeah, it's that easy.
Speaker F:I'm just.
Speaker F:I'm just saying.
Speaker F:Your name gets whispered three times in the dark.
Speaker F:You can't see behind you.
Speaker F:Why are you still standing there?
Speaker C:Hey, man, the power of Christ compels you.
Speaker A:Go ahead.
Speaker G:As.
Speaker G:As somebody who's been camping and had to go in the dark.
Speaker E:Right?
Speaker G:I.
Speaker G:I didn't stop the stream.
Speaker G:But see, when I stopped the stream.
Speaker E:It don't seem I move somewhere else.
Speaker D:Right?
Speaker G:Because I'm like, I don't know what's going on right here.
Speaker G:I'm.
Speaker G:I'm out here.
Speaker G:I'm just.
Speaker G:And you know, well, that wasn't me.
Speaker F:Thank you.
Speaker F:Yo, 6s kicked in, like, wait a second.
Speaker F:I don't even know if anything was going on, right.
Speaker G:I'm not trying to find out.
Speaker A:So it could.
Speaker A:It just could have been.
Speaker A:It could have been a squirrel.
Speaker A:I don't care.
Speaker A:I can't.
Speaker C:No.
Speaker E:Because literally, crickets at night.
Speaker E:If I hear it too much, I.
Speaker E:It's like, bro, like, I need to go somewhere else.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker E:Because why are you out here?
Speaker E:But it's just.
Speaker E:It's just the fact that he really could have went us like, he could.
Speaker A:Have went on the side of the.
Speaker A:He could have went on the side of the meal.
Speaker E:He didn't have to go that far.
Speaker E:He was watching the door the entire time.
Speaker E:Meaning the only people that were out there, and he knew it was them three.
Speaker E:The.
Speaker E:The banjo players.
Speaker E:Okay.
Speaker E:The group.
Speaker E:He could have went literally right around his.
Speaker E:The corner was right there of the house.
Speaker E:He could have went right over there and peed.
Speaker E:And he decided he didn't have to go that far.
Speaker A:It's a meal, which means it's a big building.
Speaker A:He didn't have that long in there.
Speaker E:Exactly.
Speaker F:And went to the door.
Speaker G:Real quick.
Speaker A:Just run to the side.
Speaker D:There were empty beer bottles everywhere.
Speaker E:Everywhere.
Speaker C:And half of those were probably from Slim by himself.
Speaker A:Real quick.
Speaker A:I just need to get this.
Speaker E:Cornbread was just.
Speaker E:It's like, did you really need to break that bad?
Speaker E:I don't think you needed to break that bad.
Speaker C:Well, when you realize how early they got there.
Speaker C:Because at the end of the.
Speaker C:At the end of the movie, how long.
Speaker C:When they show you the setup and the whole party before.
Speaker E:Cornbread wasn't doing that much.
Speaker C:The fact that he was there.
Speaker A:Yeah, and then.
Speaker C:But.
Speaker A:But see, here's the thing.
Speaker A:You did all of that only to end up juking with Remick later on.
Speaker A:I'm like, yo, dude, he was getting it.
Speaker A:But I'm like, dude, he was supposed to be security.
Speaker F:I'm like, dude, you just saw three potential threats.
Speaker F:Just leave and say, we're gonna walk.
Speaker F:We gonna walk real slow in case you change minds.
Speaker F:Wait, I've been like.
Speaker C:It was gone.
Speaker F:Because they gonna come back.
Speaker D:Mary didn't walk that far away from the damn juke joint.
Speaker E:No, it was right there.
Speaker F:It was around.
Speaker A:They were still in view.
Speaker D:Not see her getting juked either.
Speaker F:Again.
Speaker C:When you look at it, she broke right and was kind of.
Speaker C:When you look.
Speaker C:If you line it up, she's.
Speaker C:They're basically tucked up.
Speaker E:There's a car right there.
Speaker C:They're tucked behind the cars sitting.
Speaker C:Cornbread broke left.
Speaker C:They broke right.
Speaker D:So exactly this on the ground.
Speaker E:He should have saw that something was in the sky and saw something jump.
Speaker F:Something in the air.
Speaker A:He was too busy trying to take a piss.
Speaker A:He wasn't paying.
Speaker A:This man done went half a mile.
Speaker A:He went half a mile away from.
Speaker E:He wasn't doing his job.
Speaker E:And then he got killed for not paying attention.
Speaker F:Like, he got killed because he.
Speaker F:He got killed because he was.
Speaker F:He was not good at security.
Speaker F:And you're not on point.
Speaker F:I'm gonna be the only person not drinking.
Speaker A:Look, if Del.
Speaker A:If Delta calls you, calls you out on your stuff and he's the drunk.
Speaker A:Like, I don't know where he at, but he's been too gone.
Speaker A:He's been gone too long.
Speaker C:You can drink all you want before your shift start.
Speaker C:It was just that he took a bathroom break at the wrong time.
Speaker C:The line got busy.
Speaker C:We had a whole lot of incoming.
Speaker A:You coming back and saying, what's wrong with everybody?
Speaker C:He at least did right.
Speaker A:Where you been?
Speaker C:He at least did right in.
Speaker C:Got the twins.
Speaker C:When they first showed up, was like, yep, I'm not dealing with this by myself.
Speaker F:Yo, you should have been on point the moment three white people out of nowhere just showed up and was just being completely considerate and cooperative.
Speaker F: You in the south of: Speaker F:How in the world is your paranoia?
Speaker D:That's the.
Speaker E:That he did.
Speaker D:He jumped up like, no, no, no, no, no.
Speaker D:Go get smoking stack right now.
Speaker D:He told that dude, you didn't have.
Speaker E:No sense after that.
Speaker E:Right.
Speaker F:That's my point.
Speaker C:And people be in and out the building.
Speaker C:So when.
Speaker C:I don't think when Mary said what she was doing when she left either.
Speaker C:She just went past him and went outside.
Speaker E:Yeah, but you.
Speaker E:From the angle that we saw when they were sitting on the log, it's a clear.
Speaker E:Like, you can see.
Speaker E:Yeah.
Speaker E:You can see the door of the place.
Speaker E:So Corbet just sitting there.
Speaker E:He drinking or whatever, he just not paying attention.
Speaker E:But it's like it was seeable where someone could have saw if they were paying attention.
Speaker A:Their attention.
Speaker F:I will say that stuff.
Speaker E:Right?
Speaker F:This is the funny part out of the movie.
Speaker F:I will say this.
Speaker F:And I don't think.
Speaker F:And let me know if it's happened to y'all movie theaters, because we had kids in ours, right?
Speaker F:The part where.
Speaker F:The part where old girl comes back and says, you ain't gonna invite me in.
Speaker F:Cornbread says, yeah, yeah, come on in.
Speaker F:Every black parent, I kid you not, turned their child and said, this is why we do the knock, knock test.
Speaker F:And I was like, ain't no way.
Speaker E:You brought your kid.
Speaker E:Like, I can't even imagine bringing the kids.
Speaker C:You know what it is?
Speaker C:Like, we said, there's a lot of stuff, adult stuff in there, but most of it's just swearing.
Speaker C:All the other stuff is kind of.
Speaker E:Yeah, like if they teenage.
Speaker F:No, no.
Speaker F:I mean, like maybe teenagers.
Speaker C:I did hear some child.
Speaker C:I heard when Remy showed up, some kid go, it's a monster.
Speaker C:Why did every one of my every.
Speaker C:Everybody lost it.
Speaker C:I don't know why.
Speaker C:To the.
Speaker C:To the one other person in my.
Speaker C:To the other person in the theater who helped me start the applause when the Clansman got cut down.
Speaker C:Thank you.
Speaker C:Because everybody else is trying to be all cool about.
Speaker C:I was like, absolutely.
Speaker A:Oh, no, I was.
Speaker A:It was a Django moment for me.
Speaker A:I literally was in the theater, like dangle.
Speaker C:Because after everything we lost in that film once, it's like we get to cut down the clan with Tommy guns.
Speaker C:You know what?
Speaker F:This is a win for somebody that I would have.
Speaker F:I had to go back and go play Mafia 3.
Speaker F:When I got home, I had to do the Clan Mission.
Speaker F:I'm like, look, that.
Speaker C:That one picture in a magazine sold them so many copies.
Speaker C:And I don't think that was planned.
Speaker A:Look, I will say this, that I'm loving everybody's breakdowns that, you know, even.
Speaker A:Even by the term of the film's name.
Speaker A:And they're saying, even if you look at the characters and what each one represents, as far as the sin.
Speaker A:Seven deadly sins, you're just like, oh, yeah.
Speaker A:I'm like.
Speaker A:Like you said, Spartan.
Speaker A:This movie's layered heavily.
Speaker F:I.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:I.
Speaker A:Congratulations to Ryan Coogler and Michael B.
Speaker A:Jordan, who.
Speaker A:Whom everyone is saying him portraying the twins.
Speaker F:That should be an Oscar moment.
Speaker A:Probably one of his best performances because.
Speaker E:It definitely is for me.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:They were saying a complete night and day difference in between the two.
Speaker A:Even he said.
Speaker A:Omar Benson, who plays Cornbread said he was like, yeah, I'm about to come on the set as Smoke and so address me as Smoke.
Speaker A:And he.
Speaker A:He's like, this dude was completely different.
Speaker G:Oh, he was method.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker F:Back then.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker G:Okay.
Speaker E:I know people.
Speaker E:It was like a lot of people, you know, were talking about the differences between smoking Stack and a lot of people seem to like Stack more because he smiled.
Speaker E:But I'm like, there's something about Smoke not smiling much.
Speaker D:No.
Speaker E:And I'm just like, I really like that.
Speaker A:Smoke was about, like business.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker A:Stack was about let's get this money how we can.
Speaker D:He was about the hustle.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker D:He wasn't about thinking too smart.
Speaker D:He just.
Speaker F:That's why.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker F:Smoke was long term and Stack was enjoy Stack with partying.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Look how.
Speaker A:Look how he was with it with Grace and Bo when he went to their store and when he seen.
Speaker A:He had to deal with Grace.
Speaker A:That's what you want in the room to handle the business.
Speaker E:Like, that's why he went over there in the first place.
Speaker E:He.
Speaker E:Smoke was the coordinator, the manager and Everything.
Speaker F:It was.
Speaker F:He was security.
Speaker A:Because old boy even teaching a young black girl.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker A:How to.
Speaker A:How to.
Speaker A:How to.
Speaker F:How to deal.
Speaker F:Yeah.
Speaker F:Also showed not to mess with another man's truck.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:She was like, they.
Speaker A:I told him they was yours.
Speaker A:They didn't believe me.
Speaker E:Someone said, hey, I imagine being that, like.
Speaker E:Because it really was like, you know what?
Speaker E:Imagine shooting.
Speaker E:Shooting two people and then directly paying for their care afterwards.
Speaker E:He said, yeah, take care of them, please.
Speaker F:You gotta take care of them.
Speaker C:That was.
Speaker C:That was.
Speaker C:Back in the day, gangsters had decorum.
Speaker C:It's about.
Speaker F:Although old boy did.
Speaker F:Old boy did deserve that shot in the knee, though.
Speaker F:I told you.
Speaker A:That was.
Speaker F:I told you d.
Speaker F:I said, now you get shot just for snitching.
Speaker C:Not.
Speaker C:Not even that.
Speaker C:Just.
Speaker C:He said, I can't let.
Speaker C:I can't have nobody talking about you almost, Rob.
Speaker E:Right?
Speaker C:So it's like.
Speaker C:It's less about, I gotta set a standard.
Speaker A:I have to set a standard, dude.
Speaker C:It's less about your record.
Speaker C:It's more about your reputation.
Speaker C:So it's like, hey.
Speaker C:But you see how no one across the street was bothered.
Speaker C:They just kind of kept moving.
Speaker A:Oh, sh.
Speaker F:That.
Speaker F:That train didn't stop a.
Speaker F:Yeah.
Speaker C:I didn't even catch the segregated streets until the second watch.
Speaker C:And people pointed it out.
Speaker E:But like, oh, yeah, that was good.
Speaker A:Like, the shirt is saying, mind our business.
Speaker A:Mind the business.
Speaker E:It was just there for its purpose, but not to be super highlighted on.
Speaker E:There was no.
Speaker E:Nothing that was really not black that really needed a highlight in this movie besides reming.
Speaker E:But even then, it's, like, still a little bit different.
Speaker E:But, yeah, they.
Speaker E:He.
Speaker E:He ain't spending.
Speaker E:He said, y'all ain't here for a reason.
Speaker E:But not.
Speaker E:Not too much.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker F:Otherwise.
Speaker C:Although.
Speaker F:Although the beginning of the movie world was talking about, well, we know the plans to arrive through here.
Speaker F:No, the clan gone.
Speaker F:I'm like the.
Speaker C:The universal.
Speaker F:It was.
Speaker F:It was the collective sh.
Speaker F:In the movie theater that got me when they said, oh, the clan gone.
Speaker F:You heard the movie.
Speaker F:They're like, yeah.
Speaker A:So I.
Speaker A:I've enjoyed everyone's breakdowns.
Speaker A:Please go see this film if you have time this week.
Speaker C:Please keep jumping variety like, y'all have been over the headline.
Speaker A:Let's talk about that.
Speaker C:Real to everybody.
Speaker F:Twitter got him.
Speaker C:And then the double.
Speaker A:The double standard.
Speaker C:And for the people that didn't literally exist back then, talking about, where were we in the movie?
Speaker C:Not there, mind you.
Speaker C:Get your own.
Speaker E:I didn't even know that the accountant, too, came out, and I was Just like.
Speaker A:And I.
Speaker A:And I wanted to see it.
Speaker A:And I'm like, you gotta wait.
Speaker A:I'm sorry.
Speaker C:I heard that movie did okay.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker A:But it came in third place, so it still did.
Speaker A:Well, what's his name?
Speaker C:I'm not gonna say the dude's name, but dude was like, where were we at in trying to claim it was a Dusto dollar?
Speaker C:I'm like, they've been packing old boy up for, like, an entire week.
Speaker F:They found his thing.
Speaker F:You want to be famous and then you get exactly what you want.
Speaker A:But thank you.
Speaker C:This is the same dude who was crying literal tears for his inclusion in Forever.
Speaker E:Yeah.
Speaker F:I love how somebody pointed out.
Speaker F:It's like, where's our inclusion?
Speaker F: wasn't in Mississippi around: Speaker E:Right?
Speaker E:And it was like.
Speaker E:I.
Speaker E:Like I said earlier, I was like, it was perfect with it.
Speaker E:Like, the people that were included were there for a reason.
Speaker E:They were perfect.
Speaker E:Like, there was nothing else that needed to be added here for.
Speaker A:Because.
Speaker A:Yeah, because it wasn't.
Speaker E:This wasn't about for rape for race purposes.
Speaker E:Like.
Speaker E:Yeah, let's.
Speaker D:Let's have this quick conversation.
Speaker D:Y'all are trying to be so adjacent to people that don't look like us in the first place.
Speaker D:Why suddenly.
Speaker D:Because this movie has the appropriate representation.
Speaker D:It's a hit out the goddamn park.
Speaker D:Why suddenly y'all want to be part of the goddamn conversation?
Speaker D:Everybody.
Speaker E:When a pie is good.
Speaker C:Hey, look.
Speaker A:And you know what I say to that?
Speaker A:Don't you put that on us.
Speaker C: acked up the term POC back in: Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker F:As we.
Speaker F:As we said.
Speaker F:As we said at the end of the last election, we did our part.
Speaker F:The rest is now on you.
Speaker E:I think people need to learn how to enjoy things.
Speaker E:Like, there was nothing.
Speaker E:Like.
Speaker E:Like I said, I only watched one trailer, but there was nothing about that trailer that gave.
Speaker E:This is about to give a movie where I was going to see anything more than black people to begin with.
Speaker E:I didn't even expect to see the Chalk hall or the.
Speaker E:Or.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker E:Or.
Speaker F:I love that group.
Speaker E:I didn't expect to see them at all.
Speaker C:They were a welcome surprise both times.
Speaker A:When you want to talk about minding your business, hey.
Speaker E:Because that's me.
Speaker A:Have a good day, ma'am.
Speaker F:That sun went down, and that was the quickest.
Speaker F:I'm gonna pray for you.
Speaker A:And this boy and his boy said it.
Speaker A:He was like, hey, the sun's setting.
Speaker A:We gotta go.
Speaker E:You have a good day, man.
Speaker C:I've never seen I've never seen a movie pocket watch like this.
Speaker C:And even then, I know Marvel is probably like, sue.
Speaker A:I mean, they still have Coogler for two other projects.
Speaker C:Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker C:You know, his phone's ringing.
Speaker C:It's like, so when can we get you on the Eyes of Wakanda tour?
Speaker D:It's in like y'all stop up the goddamn continuity in the rest of your goddamn franchise.
Speaker E:How about that?
Speaker F:But also, I don't know if y'all.
Speaker F:I don't know if y'all got to cover this as well, but the deal that he did have with that picture, it's not a.
Speaker A:It's not an unknown deal to have.
Speaker F:It's not enough.
Speaker E:Everybody doesn't have it.
Speaker F:Yeah, right.
Speaker F:Everybody doesn't have it.
Speaker F:It's a.
Speaker F:I should say it's a unique deal.
Speaker F:It's a unique deal that he's gonna have the rights back in 25 years.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker F:Which.
Speaker A:And that's the shake up.
Speaker A:Is the shake up.
Speaker A:Is.
Speaker A:Yeah, that's.
Speaker A:That's the shake up.
Speaker D:And.
Speaker D:And.
Speaker D:And his age.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker D:And his age.
Speaker A:And he said.
Speaker A:He.
Speaker A:Coogler himself said.
Speaker A:Himself said that making this film made him want to go garner ownership like it's mine.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker E:Which he should for something like this.
Speaker E:Like, it.
Speaker E:It's like people like he can.
Speaker A:And it would be in all terms.
Speaker A:And you're right.
Speaker A:In all terms, this is his.
Speaker E:Yeah.
Speaker A:Everything else he's done is not his story.
Speaker A:It's not an original thing.
Speaker A:It's not.
Speaker A:He created this.
Speaker A:He.
Speaker A:He built this.
Speaker A:Him and his family and people that was involved.
Speaker A:He built this.
Speaker A:He didn't create Fruitvale Station.
Speaker A:He just told that story.
Speaker A:He didn't create Black Panther and Wakanda Forever.
Speaker A:He just told that story.
Speaker A:Creed was already pretty much a built in franchise to Rocky.
Speaker A:He didn't create that story like in that.
Speaker A:In those terms.
Speaker A:This is his baby.
Speaker A:So of course it would be the smartest move to say this is mine.
Speaker A:I want this.
Speaker F:All I can say next is Jordan Peele that him movie better be the.
Speaker F:Because we're gonna come out.
Speaker F:I hope.
Speaker A:Two reasons everybody's looking at Marlon.
Speaker A:They looking to see how.
Speaker F:Well, we're looking to see what Marlon does.
Speaker F:Because Marlin's never outside of.
Speaker F:I think one other movie has never had this type of serious role outside of one movie comedies.
Speaker C:But that and Fresh Prince was kind of.
Speaker C:So he's kind of been making.
Speaker A:Oh, yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Too.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Too his rounds.
Speaker E:And it's gonna be.
Speaker E:And I.
Speaker E:I'M probably gonna see them.
Speaker E:I don't know if I'll see it in the theaters when it, like, first weekend, but I definitely look forward to seeing him only because of the topic.
Speaker E:Is an interesting way to shine a light on things that.
Speaker E:In, like, a thriller way that nobody.
Speaker E:I don't.
Speaker E:I ain't seen nobody do a sports thriller movie like this.
Speaker E:Like that.
Speaker F:This is why the NFL's doing all those puff pieces.
Speaker F:All those puff pieces right now.
Speaker E:Yeah.
Speaker E:And you see.
Speaker E:You see what they did to.
Speaker E:Yeah.
Speaker F:Oh, that's the real.
Speaker F:That's the real face of the NFL.
Speaker F:That's all that was.
Speaker E:It's.
Speaker E:It's like.
Speaker E:Even though it's obviously like that story and then the story in the movie is not necessarily the same, but it is.
Speaker E:Does go to say, like, especially, like, when you think about what goes into sports and then you think about, like, nil these days and all, like what.
Speaker E:You know, what the things that people put on their.
Speaker E:I mean, athletes put their bodies on the line like ev.
Speaker E:Like for the.
Speaker A:For the football is possible.
Speaker E:Especially with the.
Speaker A:Yeah, football and rugby.
Speaker F:Rugby, hockey.
Speaker C:We did a study with a medical school down the street from us, so we feel like a chip in our helmet if you got hit too hard.
Speaker C:They immediately knew it was like, all right, who's number so and so.
Speaker C:Because we can see here at 3:44, you got your absolutely rocked.
Speaker G:And we.
Speaker C:We're gonna need you to come do a concussion study, like, asap.
Speaker C:And it.
Speaker C:It's made breakthroughs.
Speaker C:And we were like, part of the initial test for that.
Speaker C:But that's.
Speaker C:I used to watch the.
Speaker C:I used to watch the highlights for the draft because for some, that turns into a hazing process.
Speaker C:When you get pitched, it's like 35 for the Buccaneers.
Speaker C:Mother sold crack.
Speaker C:Dad has been on drugs since he was.
Speaker F:Oh, Lord, they do.
Speaker F:That's those puff pieces I'm talking about.
Speaker C:They find all the bad your family did for, like, three generations, and it's.
Speaker E:Like, like, dang, how did you get.
Speaker E:Who did you talk to?
Speaker F:And they always find the thing that always kills me.
Speaker F:And Bama, you're right.
Speaker F:Professional wrestling should be including that too.
Speaker F:The thing that always kills me is they always get the chapters with the dudes with single moms, and I'm just like.
Speaker F:And then you get prime, and I'm like, oh, so over.
Speaker F:A very confident, powerful black man is one that want his son to do the same thing that the Mannings have done for decades.
Speaker F:We can't have that.
Speaker F:So you're Telling us what that's really about.
Speaker E:And S.
Speaker E:Sanders was kind that.
Speaker E:That whole thing.
Speaker E:As someone who gave up on watching football a long time ago for real, it just.
Speaker E:Like seeing the Sanders thing play out is kind of just weird to me entirely.
Speaker E:That whole thing is crazy.
Speaker E:But definitely when it comes to, like, the other, like, even just, you know, when they show them when they're getting drafted, their pick, and you know, when they call them, it's like the whole.
Speaker E:The optics of everything.
Speaker E:Like, the whole process is kind of like this kind of weird sometimes, depending on what they say and you know, how they interview you and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker E:Like, the whole process can be.
Speaker E:So the him movie, like, it seems interesting for those reasons, just because I think it's.
Speaker E:It seems like it's doing, like, interrogation of, like, sports and masculinity and what it means.
Speaker E:Like.
Speaker E:Like.
Speaker E:So I'm interested to see it just because it's looking at sports in general, but definitely football from a different.
Speaker E:Because as an educator, like, knowing folks that play sports in high school and then going to college and you see, you know, the people that are athletes, like, there's a lot that is sacrificed.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker E:So I'm.
Speaker E:I'm excited to see the metaphors that they end up using in the movie.
Speaker A:Hey, I only get.
Speaker A:I only get entertainment out of.
Speaker A:Out of seeing the girlfriend that's sitting next there.
Speaker A:I'm like, sweetheart, I don't think you're going to be there long.
Speaker F:Especially when they.
Speaker F:Especially when they have a white.
Speaker F:A white horse right next to them.
Speaker F:And the mom immediately goes in defensive, though.
Speaker F:That is the.
Speaker F:That is the greatest form of entertainment.
Speaker A:Don't think you're going to be here very long.
Speaker C:To the moms that protect that first check.
Speaker C:Thank you.
Speaker C:Y'all are unsung heroes.
Speaker C:But yes, if they're there, it's like, you're either not gonna be here long or please get a prenup.
Speaker C:She's going to get you for everything.
Speaker A:Like, yeah.
Speaker C:Very much what she has been trained to do.
Speaker C:And it's like, y'all don't see this.
Speaker C:We know this when we get here freshman year, and yet y'all walk willingly into the trap.
Speaker C:How.
Speaker C:How do you fall for this?
Speaker C:That's the.
Speaker C:That's.
Speaker F:It's.
Speaker F:It's not happening.
Speaker F:You don't have a.
Speaker F:No person.
Speaker F:You.
Speaker F:Sometimes you gotta have an A hole in your camp that is gonna check you regardless of who you are.
Speaker F:Every have that.
Speaker C:Every group needs a.
Speaker C:Whose job is to just say no to every.
Speaker A:It's Always funny seeing the old clip of Russell Wilson when he got drafted.
Speaker A:That's.
Speaker C:I'm sorry.
Speaker A:That is still hilarious.
Speaker E:No, she was.
Speaker E:Her mouth was like.
Speaker A:That.
Speaker A:I was like.
Speaker A:I'm like, hey.
Speaker A:But you upgraded quite well, my friend.
Speaker A:So it's.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:Him has the potential to really hit home with a lot of that stuff, especially if they.
Speaker C:They throw in, like a social media factor.
Speaker C:Like, the game was trying to do all this, and then BET made it a soap opera, which just.
Speaker A:Yeah, they were.
Speaker A:They were.
Speaker A:They were.
Speaker A:When it was upn, they were going for the comedy level of it, and then it got canceled, and then they brought it back and it went to bet, and that's when the.
Speaker A:The seriousness.
Speaker F:I'll tell you one day, you'll never see again.
Speaker F:You guys remember playmakers about 10 years ago in ESPN and the NFL killed it after five episodes because they were telling too much.
Speaker F:They were telling too much truth in that show.
Speaker A:Yep.
Speaker E:That sounds like lie to me.
Speaker A:Yeah, see?
Speaker A:So, Caleb, this game.
Speaker A:Talk to the people one more time.
Speaker A:Tell them where you can be found.
Speaker A:Where.
Speaker A:Tell them where they can get the game.
Speaker A:The games.
Speaker G:So Panic Gym Odyssey is on your mobile App Store.
Speaker G:App, Google Play, Apple App Store, Samsung Galaxy store, Buzz Kill 0 will be on Steam as well as itch IO on PC and Mac.
Speaker G:I'm trying to get on as well.
Speaker A:Yeah, it's.
Speaker A:Trust me, it's.
Speaker A:It's so much better.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:I'm like, oh.
Speaker A:Oh.
Speaker A:It's a quick learn.
Speaker A:The game is a quick learn.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:It's not too difficult.
Speaker A:Unless you're like, to far with.
Speaker A:With Buzz Kill Zero and decide to play on the highest level.
Speaker C:Because he caught me in pass.
Speaker C:He was like, oh, yeah.
Speaker C:Because I didn't know.
Speaker G:Oh, yeah.
Speaker C:No, it is.
Speaker C:We follow each other.
Speaker C:But I'd never actually seen his face.
Speaker C:I'd only seen the avatar.
Speaker C:So when he called out to me, I was like, yeah, come try to.
Speaker G:He just turned around.
Speaker C:That's.
Speaker C:Maybe I'm like, new voice.
Speaker C:Who this?
Speaker C:At every convention, somebody knows me.
Speaker C:I may or may not know y'all, but I will play it off if need be.
Speaker C:But then he had the games.
Speaker C:I was like, all right.
Speaker C:So I was like, this one.
Speaker C:Because it's like.
Speaker C:It's like Galaga, but they come at you from an angle and still shoot.
Speaker C:And geometry plays the fact something like I can just curve.
Speaker C:Like, wait, wait, wait.
Speaker C:Time.
Speaker C:Hold on a second.
Speaker C:Then I tried the Jewel game.
Speaker C:I'm like, okay, so we can slide Sideways and bring it down.
Speaker C:This is.
Speaker C:But also, I'm not a scrub, so max level on everything.
Speaker C:Might as well go broke.
Speaker G:But you actually didn't play.
Speaker G:You only played the max level on Rush.
Speaker G:So the hardest difficulty is called Shirase.
Speaker G:So it's influenced by a game called Tetris, the Grandmaster 3.
Speaker G:Terror instinct.
Speaker G:That's.
Speaker G:That's the literal name of the game.
Speaker G:Terror Instinct difficulty is called Shirase.
Speaker C:So.
Speaker A:She was just like, yeah, you.
Speaker G:Don'T have to play it.
Speaker G:And there is, like, a little warning letting you know it is real.
Speaker E:Oh, that's crazy.
Speaker G:But if you do decide to play it, you don't even have to worry about your score.
Speaker G:It's a grade.
Speaker G:So even if you beat the MOG, if you don't get the high grade, you.
Speaker G:You just lost.
Speaker A:Like, wait a minute.
Speaker E:Tetris is a done deal for me.
Speaker G:Simpler.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:It looked like they was loving it at blurrycon, though, man.
Speaker C:So I'm like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, it was.
Speaker C:It was.
Speaker G:It was a hit at Blur Con.
Speaker G:Both games were.
Speaker G:But Panic game especially, I got a lot of Downloads, and hopefully DreamCon will be, you know, hitting for me.
Speaker A:Oh, yeah, that's.
Speaker A:That's gonna be the hit right there.
Speaker C:Are you in the.
Speaker C:Are you in the vendor hall or do you know you're gonna be it?
Speaker G:No, I'm with the.
Speaker G:In the gaming section.
Speaker C:Okay.
Speaker C:So we'll probably come find you.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker E:Oh, yeah.
Speaker E:Now that I think about it, because with all the games.
Speaker A:Yep.
Speaker E:And they hat.
Speaker E:Yeah, that'd be cool.
Speaker F:It's.
Speaker A:It's a Zuri.
Speaker C:What all socials do you have or pages can they find you on?
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker G:So for my cup, my studio, Kappa Ent, you can find me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, X, Blue Sky.
Speaker G:I'm also on Tick Tock, but I really don't know.
Speaker G:I need to get better at Tick Tock, but I'm one of those.
Speaker G:And then for my developer profiles, I'm on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter X and Blue Sky.
Speaker F:All right?
Speaker A:So if you.
Speaker A:Everybody has a mobile device, I implore you to go to the App Store.
Speaker A:Go get that Panic Gym minute.
Speaker A:Panic Gym Odyssey.
Speaker F:I just need to get the difficulty level.
Speaker F:That's all I needed.
Speaker A:Don't be like the far right and let your ego get the best of you.
Speaker A:Just go in.
Speaker G:There are easier difficulties.
Speaker G:There are harder difficulties.
Speaker C:I promise.
Speaker C:It wasn't ego.
Speaker C:It's just like we was in passing and we was.
Speaker C:We was back and forth from the stream booth.
Speaker E:Right.
Speaker C:I was like, you know, if I finally got a few minutes to try it.
Speaker C:I might as well get the full experience and see what all the characters and everything.
Speaker C:So, like, you know what?
Speaker C:Max this thing out.
Speaker F:I don't know.
Speaker F:I.
Speaker F:I have a.
Speaker F:I have a goal.
Speaker F:I.
Speaker F:I always.
Speaker F:If you tell me the difficulty level and be like, okay, bet.
Speaker F:Now, will I complain and cuss half the time while I'm playing?
Speaker C:Probably now when I try to try the other levels after, I'm like, all right, this is a breeze compared to that.
Speaker C:But I've at least gotten to see the highs and lows of the game in the short amount of time we got, so.
Speaker A:Well, Caleb, this has been dope having you.
Speaker A:Come on.
Speaker A:I'm glad we're getting game developers showing up and showing off their.
Speaker A:Their wares and.
Speaker A:And like, we need more like this and that.
Speaker A:That Panic Gym Odyssey.
Speaker A:I'm like, yeah, kind of.
Speaker A:I need an anime.
Speaker G:You're not the only person.
Speaker G:The voice actress for Paris also said she wants to be an anime animator.
Speaker G:JG said, hey, if you ever make an anime, let me know.
Speaker G:Maddox Ruler 2, who did all the in game graphics, who's actually making the Sega Cross Capcom fan game.
Speaker G:He did all of the.
Speaker G:The in game graphics.
Speaker A:These connections that this man has.
Speaker A:The minute he mentioned Toasty Marshmallow, the entire panel said, oh, it sounds good.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:He's like.
Speaker A:He jumped in there like, yeah, shout out to Toasty Marshmallow.
Speaker A:She has an amazing voice.
Speaker A:Amazing.
Speaker C:Yeah, she's on the.
Speaker C:She's on the Naruto tour, like right now, as though one of the lead singers.
Speaker A:Nice.
